Admission in the morning - 10

Suddenly I heard knocking on the door, so I went and opened it. Sister Sumi came inside and took the linen set. I asked her if a new patient was coming and she nodded. I looked at the time, it was 2 am. I hurriedly tied my hair, wore my apron and tried to wake suzy.

"Suzy, wake up wake up... Sister Sumi is alone in the ward. I will be going, come fast ok."

"...ok...."

Then I entered the ward. There I saw that she was preparing the bed. I ran towards her and helped her. About five minutes later, a new patient entered the ward. I took her to her bed and performed the admission procedure. After that, sister Sumi asked me to take her vital signs and I did accordingly. Then I arranged the medications on the tray.

I went and sat beside sister Sumi. Both of us were feeling vey sleepy and sister Sumi said, "You can go to sleep. I will be here." Then I went to take a nap for an hour.

At 6 am, I took their vital signs and recorded in the TPR sheet. Suzy finally came to the ward and sat beside us. Sister Sumi was very angry at her and she ignored her.

At 7 am, our friends of morning duty came and we attended the pre conference. At the pre conference, we discussed about our patients, new findings and our activities. Then we again went to the ward and maintained handover of the patient and then went home.

I changed my clothes and took breakfast. Then I wrote about my activities and detailed history of a patient in my log book. It took about an hour to complete it. I felt very tired and so I went to sleep.
