The Dagger of Immortality

"Oh! Dracos was too cunning, he went years plotting his evil scheme, searching for answers until one day, he heard the king in a meeting where he and his brother was present, talking about one 'Dagger of immortality' to his council of elders and Dracos' face lit up almost immediately as if having a reawakening or some sort of enlightenment."

"That's exactly what I need; a dagger that can kill a Gods and also leave no trace of his entry. But how could I get it?" He thought to himself.

"During this very meeting, Dracos learned two powerful secrets; the 'Dagger of immortals' was forged in the very heart of Mount Drexa(the mountain of power), by the 'God of all Gods' and it's guarded by the most powerful creature who alone poses a crystal that can make a Supreme Gods become a mere Gods," Master kino emphasized.

Being curious, kafas quickly asked, "Why should such a weapon and creature be created, master kino?"

"Oh, Kafas! It was only created to curb excessiveness; should in case a supreme Gods go rogue, then the creature immediately swing into action to create a balance using the 'Dagger of Immortality', "answering quickly, master kino continued...

"But there's a big obstacle to Dracos' way; the mysterious creature which is far more powerful than the king himself."

...

In the castle allotted to Dracos, he was seen pacing to and fro, thinking deeply and talking to himself.

"How on Earth can I get the 'Dagger of Immortality' without having to fight Guile(the creature, also known as the protector of the 'Dagger of Immortality' bears the name 'Guile')."

"His power is far too extreme, even the king can't stand him in combat. This is a stumbling block and it's either I cross this block or leave the dream of becoming the king during my coronation as crown Prince."

***Sigh***

"Oooh, I can't wait any longer! there ought to be a way," Dracos lament heavily; he was too obsessed with being in charge that every obstacle seems to him as a stepping stone."

Dracos' impatience began to grow as the coronation gets closer.

During supper that evening with the king and his brother, he quickly asked for insight from his Father...

"Your Majesty, do you have any idea how one can defeat an enemy so great and powerful than himself?"

"By knowing his weakness, that should do it," the supreme Gods replied.

"And what if it posses no weakness?" Dracos asked again.

Which the king quickly answered, "Oh Son, everything created by the Immortal God(God of gods) surely have a weakness, remember that it's a creature."

"Oh! I see!" with a finger placed on his lips, he nodded his head in affirmation.

"Hope there's no problem, Son?" Seeing his mood, the king quickly asked...but he replied sharply...

"Not at all, nothing to bother you about, your Majesty. I will love to be excused." Bowing down, he immediately left for his castle.

Although the supreme Gods never suspected this act of his, there was no reason to but Oasis sensed a rat.

He knew something isn't right and that his brother is up to something and it doesn't seem good what he might be up to.

"Knowing the weakness."

"Every creature has some weakness."

These words spoken to him by the king were constantly repeated by Dracos as he paces to and fro his castle.

"What weakness can Guile, the wizard of immortality posses; a being whose reputation exceeds the universe as one without a soul," he thought.

Draco's dilemma was severe, the thought of winning the throne kept him awake for days until one day, a thought came to his head.

Sitting in his study, he thought of using humans as a reference point.

"How can you know about a person?"

"How do Humans get information on their enemies?"

***Hesitating for a while***

".....Humans simply spy on their foes."

"Aha!!" as if a ball of lightning flashed through his head.

" That's it, I will need to get close to Guile and spy on him, moreover, it's impossible to know someone you haven't met."

"Getting to know this wizard will be a step ahead to achieving my plans," with excitement, Dracos quickly concluded...

"And here I was thinking these humans were useless. I now know better."

************

Early the next morning, Dracos went to inquire from the king about Guile(the wizard of immortality); being the next king, it was his right to be aware of important matters, most especially that involving Guile.

"Your Majesty, my king, to seek understanding concerning the 'wizard of immortality' i appear before you."

"What's there to be known about him that I need to, your Highness?"

"Nothing much Son, for I did talk a lot about him during the meeting with the elders but h-hmm...

***Hesitating for a while***

"I will not have you ignorant of the fact that Guile is connected to the king; for in his blood are found crystals that can bring down the unique power of a supreme king." The king explained.

***Popped Eyes***

"What! Is that not a threat to the king?!" With an exclamation, Dracos quickly asked, pretending not to have heard of the information during the meeting with the elders...

"No Son, Guile is a friend and can't go outside his jurisdiction of protecting the king and the universe and suddenly attack the king, it is impossible."

"However Dracos, I will want you not to be ignorant of the fact that the king's best friend ought to be the 'wizard of immortality', although I have failed in respect to that I want you as my successor not to make the same mistake as I did, so, you will need to get close to Guile."

"Make him your best friend now that you're about to be the crown prince. I assure you, he's a nice and trustworthy individual."

On hearing these words from the king, Dracos' felt a strange relief, as if offloading a mountain of troubles...

"Here I am, thinking of how difficult it will be to get close to Guile but to my surprise, Dad just offered me a free ticket on that account," he thought to himself.

"My lord, are you saying I can be that close to Guile?!" He asked with eyes shot out with astonishment.

"Yes Son and I will be with you all the way to see you get close to him as I once were to him..a-and I think we can start preparing to that effect too."

"Hhmm-mm, let us say... we pay him a visit tomorrow, what do you think, Son?" With excitement, the supreme king asked Dracos.

"Why the rush my lord? let's give it some time." Dracos answered, trying to hide his intentions.

"No Son, tomorrow is okay. You ought to have known him quite earlier than now."

"To be frank, I knew him when I was only a hundred in age," trying to make Dracos see reason.

***Looking intently at Dracos to see if he accepted the suggestion***

"Tomorrow it is then your Highness," Dracos quickly accepted, seeing that his plans are going smoothly.

"Okay Son, tomorrow we set out to meet him." With an assuring look, the king replied to him.
