Cosmic Crossroads

Waking up in an empty room was quite shocking, especially since most of it was covered by a gigantic wooden shop counter. Well, at least the rewards of this place are quite worth it, even though I wasn't sure whether I would survive the coming years. I was just limited by myself as the vast possibilities of the whole Omniverse were open to me. Who knows what I'll pick on my way up? Kingship? Power? An Empire? Love? All I had to do was walk through that door. -------------------- For advanced Chapter consider supporting me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Arrowinmyknee -------------------- This is a Multiverse Story! Chapter 3

Pov: Enma

"Of course, I knew who I was talking to. I recognized her shortly after she stepped into my store. A haggard Emilia Clarke look-alike with silver-gold hair was easy to identify. I even appraised her when I helped her stand. The skill requires me to touch the target as it doesn't work from a distance.

"I am Daenerys Targaryen, also known as Daenerys Stormborn, the last member of House Targaryen and the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms," she introduced herself, trying to stand in front of me according to her station. However, her exhausted and haggard appearance made it difficult.

Did I basically extort her? Were her gold coins worth much more than anything I gave her? Technically, yes. But in return, she receives medicine, water, and otherworldly food that I could sell as luxury goods to the nobility of her world.

After appraising the gold coins, I realized I could easily sell them for about 14,000 Ryo each. The silver honors, of course, are far less valuable, but with this one sale, I already made six times the profit of my starting capital and still had some goods in my store.

The more money I had, the better it was for them too. This would allow me to stock more goods in the store. "It's an honor to meet you, Daenerys. Lead the way; I will try my best to help Doreah."

I already realized that I was talking to the book version of Daenerys after appraising her. Besides her lifespan, she didn't have much to personally trade besides a bit of experience in sex and Valyrian, along with some other skills she picked up. The absence of something like fire immunity or resistance was proof enough for me to realize which version I was talking to.

In the books, that whole immunity to fire was a one-time thing during the birth of her dragons, a rare piece of magic. During the series, she showed off her immunity multiple times. Another clue was the part of the trade deal where she wanted me to heal Doreah. In the books, her handmaiden was loyal and died in the Red Waste from sickness, while in the series, she betrayed Daenerys with the rich guy from Qarth and got imprisoned in that big empty safe to die.

I didn't have to follow Daenerys far to where Doreah rested, while a large middle-aged man with a black beard and a balding head stood guard over her. When Enma arrived with Daenerys, he put his hand on the handle of his sword while eyeing him.

Doreah looked like she did in the series, with dark hair, and would be quite beautiful if it wasn't for the haggard look that she shared with all the members of the Khalasar. As they were starving and thirsting, upon seeing me, they began to mutter among themselves.

Besides them, Daenerys' three dragons rested, also keeping watch over their mother's handmaiden and friend.

I began to examine the young woman. Although I am not a doctor, I had a general idea of health like most people coming from modern times. The young woman was clearly in the final stages of starvation, where her body used up all her fat reserves and began to cannibalize her own muscles.

But it wasn't only that; her skin was pale. After putting my hand on her forehead, I could confirm that she was burning hot. She was deathly ill.

"Khaleesi, who is he?" asked Jorah Mormont as he carefully watched me examine Doreah.

"A blessed encounter that I had. He agreed to help us," replied Daenerys while watching me and Doreah with worry.

"Her body is too weak. She caught a fever that is killing her," I said while I pulled one of the packages with medicine out of my bag. These were the strongest antibiotics I had; they should be able to help her with that infection. After making sure Doreah swallowed the pill with water, I turned to Daenerys. "I gave her something to combat the fever. But if she wants to survive, she needs rest and a better environment. She won't be able to travel anymore for the next few days, at least."

"But we can't stay here. Even with the supplies you gave us, it will be only enough to give the weakest among us some strength to carry on," said Daenerys, conflicted. Either she chooses to help Doreah and pays with more lives of her Khalasar, or she leaves Doreah behind.

While Daenerys was fighting her inner conflict, I took a look at the sky. There it was, as clear as the sun. The comet was blood-red with a long tail. From our position, it looked like it covered half the sky. I watched the direction the comet was flying and, a bit to the side of it, I could feel what I hoped to find.

"Don't worry, I have a solution. Although I don't have space for your Khalasar, my store has enough space for one person. Doreah can stay in the backroom of my store, and I will, as we agreed, heal her to the best of my ability," I explained to Daenerys.

"But when will I see her again?" asked Daenerys, worried that they wouldn't make it out of that deadly waste.

"If you follow the comet while moving a bit in that direction," I pointed with my finger, using my information from canon, "you will find an abandoned settlement. There won't be much, but enough water and fruits to feed you when you are there. But most importantly, I can feel that there is another door. By then, Doreah should be much better, and you will have enough resources to find a better plan of where to travel next."

"Thank you, Enma. Your help is invaluable. I will be forever in your debt. You are not only saving me but also my people," bowed Daenerys, trying to take on the role of a leader.

"Don't worry. You are my first customer. I don't want to lose my business partner," I added mentally before asking Jorah, who also thanked me, to help me carry Doreah towards my store since I wasn't strong enough.

After we placed her in the back of my store on my only bedroll, I began to fill up the waterskins of the Khalasar in my bathroom. I would still need to pay the water bill next month as my appliances are connected to Konoha and cost regularly, but I made much more profit from it.

Meanwhile, Daenerys instructed others to leave the spare weapons they took from the dead with them in my store. In the end, I had six Arakhs, the curved swords of the Dothraki, nine wooden curved bows, three whips, and four daggers. All of these were the standard Dothraki weaponry. I wasn't sure whether I would have the opportunity to sell them, but at least I had some more goods to use.

Once they had stored as much water as they possibly could carry and gained enough energy from the bit of food I sold to them, they began to continue their travel in the direction I guided them. After they were out of sight, I closed my door and, for now, locked the multiversal connection, as I had to restock once again.

But first of all, I had to sell my gold and silver since the conversion into another currency itself wasn't worth that much. The conversion rate aligned more with the value that money had in Planetos than its actual gold value.

"So where can I sell some gold in Konoha?" I wondered to myself, as I wasn't sure now whether it was actually worth much.

Turns out it was worth just as much as in any other modern society. I left the pawn shop I found in Konoha over 30,000 Ryo richer. I probably could have gained more, but I didn't really want to answer any questions, and I didn't want to wait for long. So I chose to receive the cash instantly, as I had already made a great profit.

Feeling the money in my pocket, I halted as I realized a critical fact. Don't I have an infinite money cheat, well, at least until I mess up the economy? With the exchange rate between Gold Honors or Gold Dragons and Ryo being less than the selling rate of the gold, couldn't I just exchange the currency and then sell it again?

Pulling a stack of Ryo into my hand, I focused, willing them to turn into Meeren Gold Honors. Nothing happened. No matter how hard I tried, it didn't work. Damn, that would be just too good.

Now the question is, can't I do it at all, or can I only do it for a transaction? Does the intent matter? Well, since I couldn't figure it out now, I would have to try it later when I was trading with Planetos again. Even if I try to pretend my intent was to use it for an exchange with Essos, it didn't work. But that was probably more because I couldn't lie about my true intentions.

As I strolled along the Naka River flowing through the idyllic landscape of Konohagakure, I stopped in the shade of a tree and sat down on a bench. How should I use my money?

I need a new bedroll in any case, but that isn't very expensive. I could improve my living standards now, but that would probably be a waste of money for now, as I would definitely get the chance to get more modern stuff in the future once I connect to better, more advanced worlds.

But I should still get some basic furniture like tables and stools that I can also use as counters to present new goods. Maybe also some barrels to store stuff like weapons. But that shouldn't be that expensive, as it's pretty basic stuff, not modern appliances.

The more important question is, what goods should I buy? Long-lasting food as standard stock is a good idea, some medicine to restock what I sold out. But Daenerys and her Khalasar won't be needing much food in the future, as that will resolve itself from now on, and they have no money right now anyway until the next time they meet.

I should focus on a broader audience. Maybe some sweets and other snacks are a good idea. They are always sellable and could be sold as luxury goods to the rich in Essos and Westeros in the future. After all, I am the only supplier, so why not milk some rich, stupid nobles for their money?

But that is still pretty standard. What else could I get in the Naruto Universe that could be useful to trade? Jutsus are useless if one doesn't have chakra, and I don't think I can just buy any. Then there are the Seven Ninja Swords, but it's also impossible for me to get one of them anytime soon.

Maybe I can get Zabuza's Sword once canon begins. But that is at least a few years away. I also wonder if I can give someone else a chakra network. What if they absorb some chakra with Samehada? I wonder how they were even created? Doesn't matter right now.

The other stuff is ninja weaponry and other equipment like Soldier Pills. Soldier Pills would be amazing to feed armies in Daenerys' world. I could make a ton of money with them. Who doesn't want to have an army where any soldier can be fed with only one pill every three days? Who even needs a supply line then? But am I even able to buy them?

No idea. Maybe only shinobi can buy them, but I will have to confirm this first. Some weapons like shuriken, kunai, katanas, tantos, and so on would also be nice to keep in stock.
