Iego: Part 2

{You know… it's entirely possible to leave this world, especially after receiving the Reeksa root from the Player Network}

"Still… this place will turn into the land of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

They wouldn't leave a great number of Droids here, but it'll be enough to keep the people under control.

Honestly, if possible, I think we can set up a Branch Guild here and send members out to deal with the creatures and tough terrain.

Eventually it might come across the C.I.S, at which time we can either attack them if they behave aggressively."

{They'll give up in a heartbeat on such idea's after you've named it as a sovereign planet in the Guild's control}

Arlo couldn't help but smile as Yeixrian figured out the rest of his plan for the planet and the 1000 moons.

Most of them were uninhabitable but that would change with time and effort according to Arlo and his plan for the Star System.

They were currently going through the streets of the city Cliffhold.

Majority of the local residents looked at Arlo with fear because of his armour and mask with the dark cloak strapped to his shoulders.

Thankfully their opinion changed the second they noticed Star-Void Grand Guild emblem on the cloak and armour.

Those who noticed raced over to Arlo and said hello, especially the youngsters and children who came to learn about the tales of the Guild from their home in the Outer Rim Territories.

Arlo figured it would be ideal to cause a problem for the C.I.S now than later, because it would be possible to tell Dooku that the Star System was affectively their territory.

It had 42 moons which could hold life because of the Nebula and its warm glow that affected the planet Iego and the surrounding moons to sustain life.

Not all could enjoy the prospect of life, but the few moons that were capable of hosting life, Arlo planned to construct droid manufacturing facilities.

This especially included the Construction Droids which were Uncommon Graded and surprisingly an item that was found in the System Store.

The variation sold by the System was sleeker and far more sci-fi based when it came to the design schematics.

It could also self-repair and improve through operational deployment, which would eventually lead to the droids working faster and efficiently.

But compared to the Construction droids he was rewarded, Arlo noticed it wasn't up to the same level as the one being sold in the System Store.

Obviously, the Droids were bulkier and unable to repair themselves, but they still managed to learn while working and improve itself, even though the droid algorithm needed development.

While Arlo asked Yeixrian to begin the production of the Construction Droids within the Empyrean Dimension, in the meantime he met up with the Mayor of Cliffhold.

..

.

"… Interesting… I never expected to see the Grand Guild to come out this far into the Outer Rim Territories."

"Orders are Orders…" Arlo said with his voice distorting slightly through the masks inbuilt systems.

He was sitting across the table for the Mayor of Cliffhold, who had plenty of troubles trying to control the city without the local tribes attacking as they saw their own rule to be fit over his.

Regardless of that, none were able to remove him, especially those who tried to utilise the native demons, also known as Maelibus.

The tribes were largely focused on the Scatter, a place where Starships came to crash into the planet by the so called 'Angels' also known as the Diathim.

None of the tribes could work together to fix any of the broken starships to leave the planet, but they all fought against each other, meaning they were never able to leave.

Surprisingly, the Diathim, who would glow bright enough to blind the pilots, were not able to affect the droids in Yeixrian's control.

Funnily enough, they actually communicated with Arlo through the Galactic Basic Standard before he landed on Iego.

They explained the troubles of planet while asking for Arlo's decision to travel into the Outer Rim Territories.

Arlo told them of his connection to the Grand Guild and the plans to turn Iego into a haven by 32 BBY.

They appreciated Arlo for bringing new life and flora to Iego, but there was a part of them that worried about their homeland.

For some reason or another, the Diathim were told by the Force through a vision that their homeland would be invaded by a powerful army enterprise in the future.

Arlo promised to provide the Diathim plenty of support, and to prepare them for the future as long as they could help him settle on Iego.

To his surprise, they knew of the Mayor that ran Cliffhold and organised a meeting between the two parties.

Currently, Arlo could tell the man with deep brunette hair and piercing golden eyes reminded him of a humanoid Dragon.

But his aura wasn't anywhere near the density and purity of a true Dragon.

The Mayor could sense the man behind the mask was examining him, but that wasn't a big deal as it was a member of the Star-Void Grand Guild.

More than anything, he wanted the Grand Guild to set up various factories and facilities to help improve the planet while also helping people leave the world, they'd been stranded on for what felt like an eternity.

.

"… I'm Loota Srandt, Mayor of Cliffhold and the surrounding villages…"

"StarKiller…"

"Hmm… right.

Why are you here StarKiller?" Loota closely examined the man across from him in a subtle way, with his eyes on the mask.

It distinctly looked much like a Mandalorian, which confused Loota because they were known to be bounty hunters and mercenaries that caused utter chaos across the galaxy.

Though he didn't expect the same from the person opposite from him, Loota still worried for his people and the surrounding regions of land that might be affected by this ruthlessness if gone unmonitored and controlled.

Yet he never expected to hear what Arlo said next in reply to his original question.

"Set up a Grand Guild Branch Headquarters with room to develop the land and planet as a whole.

Technically, Spice can be exported from here but setting up the mines will take some time.

Not just that, mining Spice isn't good for anyone's health.

Best option is to use the rough terrain of the planet to create a training program to help the Guild Members to endure tough weather.

It'll also help the current residents even if they choose not to join the Guild.

At the end of the day, the Guild President wishes to include the planet under their jurisdiction before the Galactic Republic Senate.

It might cause your residents to feel annoyed by the whole situation, but their safety will be the responsibility of the Guild.

Though it'll only come into effect once the various leaders of Iego accept the Guild to represent their interests in the Galactic Senate."

"I see."

Loota couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the interests of the Grand Guild as they were a powerful figure that recently entered the galactic community.

He wasn't sure about adding the Guild to their rankings on Iego because Loota understood the Council of Cliffhold wouldn't easily accept the Guild without gaining something for themselves.

That's how the galaxy worked and Loota understood better than anyone else that Iego wouldn't easily conform to the Grand Guild and their plans, even if it meant greater benefits to the local residents.

Arlo couldn't sense the turmoil within Loota but dared not to speak about it because he realised that establishing a Grand Guild wouldn't easily be accomplished in his visit to the planet.

So, he decided to follow the instructions of the Diathim.

"… The ones you call 'Angels' are actually known as the Diathim, who inhabit one of the many moons of Iego.

They assured me that if the Grand Guild was able to set up a Branch Headquarters on the planet, then they would represent the entire Star System at the Galactic Senate."

Loota lost his grip on the glass drink, as it slipped and hit the floor, making a loud shout that echoed in the baren private room as it shattered into tiny pieces.

Having lived his entire life on the planet for the most part, Loota had seen the Diathim before, yet he assumed it was just a vision or hallucination.

"… Are you positive?" Loota asked with his eyes bulging out of his skull as he looked deeply at the masked man sitting across from him.

"Of course."

Arlo's voice couldn't hint any emotion in his voice through the mask as it would distort his voice, but it was enough to convey the truth pertaining to the Diathim.

..

.

"As much as I would like to agree with the mysterious man's words… I do not trust his words, especially concerning the Servants of Drol."

Amit Noloff, a member of the Cliffhold Council said, much to the annoyance of Loota and several other members who chose to side with the Grand Guild.

They knew it was near impossible to leave the planet in their current situation with the various tribes fighting over the Scatter region which was a massive graveyard of Starships.

What they hadn't noticed except for Loota was Amit's main reasoning for such a decision.

His family had been highly religious and respected Drol, the supposed mythical God of Iego.

Though he'd never seen the holy God in person, the respect for such an entity was unwavering.

Loota knew this and it happened to be one of their contending issues between the two of them that would constantly be brought up during meetings.

Seeing that it was being brought up once more, Loota had enough of his old colleague and friend's antics.

"Its obvious the Grand Guild won't go against the local inhabitants, especially if they wish to maintain their image in Galactic Society.

StarKiller has also assured him of the Diathim's involvement, which means our world won't easily be discarded in the Galactic Senate, unless they wish to face the wrath of the Guild.

It's been three days so far and we've already seen some results of his efforts to bring the tribes in line and even formed a council over their own.

That isn't easily accomplished within a few days, especially since we've tried the very same thing for decades."

Every single council member accepted Loota's words and recognised he wasn't wrong as they've heard about the Scatter being cleaned up of the chaotic tribes and their internal fighting.
