Aurora Claw - Mount Acquired

The Seraphia market sprawled out before them, a bustling hub of activity amidst the snowy landscape. Saad couldn't contain his excitement as they ventured deeper into the market, Luxon carrying Arabella and Thorneval leading the way.

The market was a sight to behold, a fantastical array of stalls and creatures. Everywhere he looked, there were majestic animals, each more enchanting than the last. Dramurs, unicorns, bicorns, and stags making noises, their coats gleaming with shades of white and blue. Saad's eyes widened in wonder as he took in the spectacle.

But the wonders didn't end there. Giant rabbits hopped playfully while bound in their large cages, while ice bears prowled in their cages, their fur shimmering in the frosty air. Wolves and foxes were also in some cages and had many people gathering there.

Saad couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement as he explored the market, his worries momentarily forgotten in the presence of such extraordinary creatures. He couldn't choose, just what he should choose. While bears looked amazing, he needed to build his resistance to them first. But the unicorns looked so majestic.

Saad's eyes lit up with excitement as he spotted the leopard in the cage, his mind racing with the possibilities of having such a majestic creature as his mount.

Luxon noticed Saad's interest and inquired, "Saw anything you like?"

Saad turned to the NPC with a grin, "I am still thinking."

But his attention was drawn back to the leopard, and he couldn't hide his enthusiasm. "You want that?" Luxon asked, catching onto Saad's interest.

Saad nodded eagerly, his excitement palpable. However, the shopkeeper's reluctance dampened the mood. "Why don't you choose something else?" he suggested, his tone apologetic.

Thorneval, curious about the situation, chimed in, "We can pay for it."

Saad turned to the shopkeeper, his curiosity piqued. "Why the reluctance? Don't you want to sell it?" he inquired.

The shopkeeper hesitated, then sighed. "The leopard is feral," he admitted. "It hasn't accepted a master and tends to get easily annoyed. It attacked its previous owner, which is why it was returned this morning."

A wave of disappointment washed over Saad, but then a thought struck him. If he had a blessing of 100% luck, could it help him tame the leopard? With newfound determination, he turned back to the shopkeeper. "Let me try," he insisted.

Luxon intervened, his concern evident in his voice. "Kael, it's not worth the risk," he cautioned. "We can find you another mount."

But Saad's resolve remained unshaken as he looked into Luxon's eyes. "Just let me try once," he pleaded. Thorneval chimed in, supporting Saad's request. "At least give him a chance," he urged.

And Luxon pursed his lips, Arabella worriedly looked at him, "Big brother- He is scary." Saad gently patted her head, smiled and took a deep breath as he went inside the tent toward the huge cage. His heart was pounding and he felt scared.

[Aurora Claw used fear. Blessing of a higher being has nullified the debuff.]

Saad's heart skipped a beat as the notification appeared before him, startling him out of his trance. He hadn't sensed it all since he was so absorbed in the presence of the imposing leopard. The growl emanating from the beast sent a shiver down his spine, its sheer ferocity causing him to instinctively recoil.

The leopard's appearance was nothing short of formidable, its white, muscular body exuding strength and power. Its aurora eyes glinted with an otherworldly intensity, while its slightly curled horns added to its imposing stature. Saad couldn't help but feel a surge of fear as he gazed upon the creature's massive paws, capable of inflicting fatal damage with ease.

 [Tame the monster? Y/N]

[You are lacking arcane power to attempt a bond.]

[Your class is not beast tamer. You are unable to tame the monster.]

"Here. Use this young master." Shopkeeper said and Saad was given a blue ice like crystal and Saad quickly read the detail.

[Mount Crystal]

Grade: Advanced

A special crystal needed to tame a mount. If the color gets absorbed and the ruin appears on their forehead, the mount gets tamed, and the crystal turns into stone.

In case of failed taming, the crystal will be destroyed.

To initiate, say this, [Behold, _name of monster_. Here I stand, offering my hand as a token of friendship. Let our spirits entwine, forging a bond that transcends the barriers between us.]

Saad held the mount crystal tightly in his hand, feeling the weight of the moment upon him. Despite the intimidating presence of the leopard, he steeled his resolve, reminding himself of the blessing that was still in effect.

With a deep breath, he met the gaze of the beast, its aurora eyes reflecting an untamed spirit. "It's okay," he reassured himself. "I can do this." He had Aeron's blessing, he had 100% luck. It was going to be okay!

Summoning his courage, Saad spoke the words, his voice steady despite the nervousness coursing through him. "Behold, Auroraclaw. Here I, Kael Emberflame stand, offering my hand as a token of friendship. Let our spirits entwine, forging a bond that transcends the barriers between us.]

He muttered under his breath since he was too embarrassed of saying it out loud. As the words left his lips, a silver light shot out of the crystal and entered leopard's forehead and the leopard growled.

[Aurora claw is resisting.]

[A mysterious and ominous fate it at play.]

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Disaster has turned into opportunity.]

[Aurora claw has submitted its ego. You have tamed the monster. Open up its status bar in character's status screen to check for its characteristics.]

Saad couldn't stop the grin from forming on his lips. 'Crazy! Crazy! I was able to do it?'

He was in shock and not just him, the shopkeeper as well. The leopard had acted up so much and despite being a valuable merchandise due to its rarity, even after getting tamed it wouldn't stop growling and attacking and yet now, the leopard was just laying comfortably in its cage.

As the leopard was released from its cage, Saad was handed the proof of ownership by the shopkeeper, a document he quickly stashed away in his inventory. Meanwhile, his grandfather settled the payment, the exact amount lost in the whirlwind of excitement.

Standing before the majestic creature, Saad couldn't help but feel a sense of awe wash over him. The leopard's towering presence made him feel small in comparison, yet the thrill of having such a magnificent beast as his mount filled him with exhilaration.

'What Crazy luck!'

With a nervous heart, Saad commanded the leopard to sit, and to his relief, the creature obeyed, allowing him to climb atop its back. Thorneval and Luxon beamed with pride at the sight, while Arabella, still wary, watched from a distance.

With the leopard now under his command, Saad made a mental note to check its stats later. For now, he contentedly rode home with the rest of his family, grateful for the incredible stroke of luck that had brought him this extraordinary companion.

Now that he was back, he immediately went back to the office to start on the quest. He ran through the passage and quickly arrived at the grand hall. Everything had worked out so well and he was sure the writing would go well, as well.

At least, that's what he thought when he first started to write it.

Saad soon discovered just how challenging the task would be. The words in the diary were in English, but with peculiar swirls, dots, and occasional inversions that made them difficult to decipher. His writing speed slowed considerably as he struggled to transcribe the unusual script. By the end of his session, he realized he hadn't made as much progress as he had anticipated.

There were few gains however- The '100% luck boost' that he had because of the blessing helped a lot. Firstly, every time he was about to make a 'mistake' and mess up a word while writing, the blessing would come in effect and he would miraculously end up not messing it up. Not to mention-

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Your writing improves miraculously.]

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Lore Lexicon's effects are doubled because of continuous use.]

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Lore pen increases your Lexicon level.]

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Your intelligence increases by 1 permanently.]

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Your dexterity increases by 1 permanently.]

[Your 100% luck is in effect. Your proficiency increases by 2.]

It was just absurd how a 100% luck could completely change the outcome of everything he was doing. The notification kept on showing up and another thing-

[You have written 10 words. EXP +5]

He was even getting experience points and though the diary writing seemed like a killer task, he was going to do it. He was going to focus on this quest while he had this blessing!

Finally he has his mount! A snow leopard! So majestic!!!
