I saved you from the horrible date

"Mary do you know....?" Tracy trailed off teasingly and then glanced at Rose.

"What?" I asked turning my gaze from Tracy to Rose.

Rose was sitting beside me, and Tracy was sitting in front of us. We were sitting in our usual spot where we sit, when we skip our class together. Which was behind a big tree which is in the west side of our school campus. It hides us from everyone giving us a personal space.

"Rose why don't you say her" Tracy said to Rose while nudging her.

"You say it!" Rose said feeling embarrassed.

"What happened?" I asked Tracy getting impatient.

She chuckled. "Do you remember Gary winters?" Tracy asked me while grinning stupidly.

"Gary winters..." I tried to search for his face in my memory.

"He has Math class with us in Wednesday" Tracy said trying to make me remember. In Wednesday we three has math class together.

"Oh yeah, I remember. What about him?" I asked, my face automatically turned into disgust.

Tracy laughed at my reaction. "Rose said he asked her to meet him there" she pointed at the left direction "Where most of the students had confessed to each other" she said with hidden laughter. Tracy was directing at a place in our campus which has beautiful trees and the trees had naturally formed an arch there and flowers usually falls there creating a beautiful stage.

"What?" I squeaked with wide eyes, not wanting to believe her words. "And you agreed?" I asked Rose still in frantic. Then I laughed when I imagined him talking to Rose. Let me say you nobody would want him to confess them.

"I had no choice. He had been sticking around me the whole day. He was not ready to leave me until I agreed" she scowled at the thought. "And I waited for you for so long so that I could say it to both of you together. But you took so much time to give Sam his book"

I felt guilty for keeping the recent event secret from them. But I pushed away my guilt and gave her a nod of understanding.

"He will be here in five minutes" Rose said after checking the time from her phone. Well, there is five minutes for this period to finish.

We chatted for a while and five minutes past like a second. We got up from our spot and made our way towards Rose and Gary's meeting place. Just like what Rose said he was there within five minutes. I and Tracy stopped behind a small tree which shielded us from Gary's view, but we could see him clearly.

"Don't make yourselves known, ok?" Rose said quickly to us before she went there.

I saluted her with two fingers mockingly. Well... now let's describe him. Oh my god just looking at him is enough to make me laugh.

He was standing there like he was the most handsome person in this world. And let me say you he was anything but handsome. He was wearing a button up shirt and the half of it was tugged inside from front and from the back half of it from opposite side was tugged inside.

And it was definitely not a model like look. And even from here, I was able to see the dirty spots on his shirt, like he had carried his food on his shirt instead of carrying it on plate.

I'm not trying to insult or find an excuse to criticize him. But it is the TRUTH.

Rose stood in front of him awkwardly. Well, anybody would feel awkward if the person in front of you is trying to show you their charm when there is no charm in them.

Harsh reality which he needs to know.

He was standing in a pose which he might possibly be thinking looked badass but, in reality it looked like he is in desperate need to pee.

Another truth which I couldn't hide.

"Hey!" Gary winters greeted Rose while chewing a gum and in process his gum slightly stuck out from his mouth which he quickly popped inside his mouth.

Rose cringed looking at him and then gave him an awkward smile.

And I and Tracy snickered while holding our hands against our mouth to obstruct the sound.

But the admiring thing is it didn't affect his confidence at all. I scoffed.

"I knew you couldn't wait to see me" he stated cockily Which made my jaw drop. And Rose scowled at him.

Unbelievable!

God! I didn't think it was possible for him to become more unbelievable than he already is!

He then popped his gum for the dramatic effect. And in result his lips fully got covered by the gum.

I and Tracy laughed hard trying our best to not remove any sound.

Rose chuckled, trying her best to hold in the laughter.

Gary tried to remove the gum from around his lips but failing miserably. Now the gum has covered all his finger's tips stretching from his lips.

The sight made me laugh so hard that my tummy started to scream in pain. It was a miracle that I managed to laugh without removing any sound in process.

After Gary realized that there is no way he would be able to clean his lips like this, he fumbled with his pocket with his left hand which was safe from chewing gum and then removed a napkin from it. He hastily wiped his hand and lips with it. Now, he was able to successfully clean it. Rose's eyes were still twinkling with laughter and her lips twitched in smile.

Gary stuffed his napkin back to his pocket and cleared his throat trying to clean the air of awkwardness.

And damn, did he know that it was quite an entertainment for two people who were hiding behind a tree.

"What do you think he will say now?" Tracy whispered in my ear.

I shrugged. "There is no way I would think like him. So, I have no idea what he would say next" I whispered quickly in one breath not wanting to miss anything between Rose and Gary.

Tracy chuckled at my words.

"Well..." Gary started. "I know you don't agree to go on dates much but still..." he brushed his hands through his hair messing it up. And it was not a good-looking kind of messy but a weird looking kind. His hair stood at weird ends.

It made me and Tracy laugh yet again. It's something like, once you get in a laughing fit even the slightest thing would make you laugh.

"...I am asking you because I am sure you will not reject me" Gary completed his sentence cockily but I'm sure there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

I laugh at the expense of his words. Even though I disliked the arrogance in his voice, but I couldn't help but laugh. And this time I couldn't stop the sound that escape my throat. Which made Tracy laughed too. And we looked at each other and started laughing out loud.

In result it exposed our hiding spot. Gary snapped his head in our direction and Rose cringed. But that didn't cease our laughter instead it just made us laugh harder.

I saw Gary make his way towards us. He stood in front of us his face full of anger. But I couldn't understand the reason for his anger. And Tracy who was laughing a second ago had pulled a straight face easily within a second.

I gave her an incredulous look.

"You B*tches! What the hell do you think you are doing by eavesdropping on us" Gary spitted looking specially at me.

My jaw dropped at the choice of his words. I didn't saw others reaction because I was too busy at shooting daggers at him with my eyes. The laughing fit which I had was now replaced with anger at him.

"What did you just say you piece of sh*t?" I asked him my voice having a harsh edge to it which wavered his confidence a little.

I made my way quickly towards him in strides. I was before him within a second.

"What did you just call us?" I asked maliciously clenching my fist.

When Rose and Tracy sensed the anger in me, they dashed towards me and put their arms around my shoulder dragging me away from him. Before they dragged me, I managed to shove him hard on his chest which made him stumble backwards.

"Do you think you deserve someone as beautiful as Rose? Look yourself at mirror before you go around asking people out" I sneered at him behind my shoulders and let Rose and Tracy drag me.

I exhaled trying to calm myself.

"That Damn b*st*rd had the guts to call us b*tches" I grimaced.

Rose shakes her head at me, and Tracy cringed at my words.

"Nonetheless, I saved you from the horrible date" I said to Rose a grin taking over my face.

Both of them chuckled.

"Right" Tracy said

"Well... thank you!" Rose smiled in amusement.

I stepped out of the last class of the day, fully exhausted. The only thing that kept me in spirit was the fact that I would be able to find out about Elias and Brian's gang.

So, my plan was to follow Elias and eavesdrop on them.

I kept my eyes wide open in case I find Elias or any of Sam's friend around me so that I could follow them to the place where Elias asked them to meet.

While making my way to my locker I kept an eye around me looking for Elias. Then I opened my locker and stuffed all my books which I didn't need for today in my locker and slammed It shut. I didn't find anyone who I was looking for, so I made my way towards the main door of the school.

I went outside the main door and descended few steps and leaned on the railing. After the painful five minutes of looking around I finally spotted Elias in the sea of students who was making their way out. I leaned off the railing and took my sweet time in descending the remaining steps so that I could be behind Elias.

When Elias went ahead of me, I slowly followed him walking casually behind him. I kept a good meter of distance between us to appear inconspicuous. He went around the school building and to the backside of it. And there was a small gate leading outside which I didn't know existed until now and which was enough only for a person to walk in and out.

I watched him from little far exiting the gate. Then I checked my surrounding and looked behind me just to make sure that the coast was clear. But when I looked back, I jolted in my place.

There they were! Sam and his gang! coming this way!

What am I going to do now? I am stuck in between. There is only two way. One. To go where Elias went. Two. To backtrack my steps and encounter Sam and his gang.

Both the options seem unpleasant. I looked at the both the ways repeatedly trying to find a way. Sam and his gang are still far away but they will soon notice me if I will keep standing here.

Before I could ponder more on it. I quickly started to walk towards the back exit where Elias disappeared into.
