The Trial

A few days had passed by since I had last talked to Supergirl. I had been training almost non stop since then except for the day of break I had given myself. My day of break was uneventful and boring so I thought maybe next time Id go to the beach or overseas.

I was in the middle of training when the league contacted me. It was John Jones telling me that the earth was being invaded again. I immediately understood the situation due to the script readers perfect recall I had gotten from the system a while back. I told the league to leave it to me and that I knew what I was doing. John Jones insisted I had at least one other member with me and so I chose him. Flash and Hawkgirl were up in the watchtower with him and could easily take care of things up there alone.

After John Jones said he was heading down to meet the invaders with me, I quickly put on my costume and headed to GL John Stewarts home town. Upon arriving I saw that John Jones had not come alone, he brought Hawk girl with him and she had just tried to bash one of the manhunters robots in the face, but instead was flung away by it.

I shook my head seeing the sight. This is why I didn't want them to come. Upon hearing that the manhunters were here for GL John Stewart, she attacked before understanding the full situation. Understandable to an extent, but why attack first? She couldn't already have feelings for GL John Stewart right?

I hurried and landed in front of the manhunter robots right as John jones leaped up to attack and stuck out my hand in stop motion as I spoke "Stop, let them explain themselves first". Martian Manhunter and hawk girl backed off temporarily as I spoke to the Manhunter robot in front.

"What are you here for?" I asked

The manhunter stepped forward "We are here to arrest GL John Stewart and bring him in front of a council where he will be given a fair trial and be judged"

"Understood, let's go look for him and see what his thoughts are on this".

Hawk girl protested "What are you doing? Are you selling out a team member?"

John Jones stood their with a shocked expression on his face that slowly turned into a scowl.

"I'm not turning on my team, this is simply not our business even if we are his teammates, until GL Stewart makes it our business or we know information he doesn't"

At that moment a new task given by the system appeared.

Looking at the task I spoke to the Manhunter robot once more. "I am happy to assist you, but you need to take me along with you to the planet the trial is happening on."

The lead Manhunter gave his approval and I took them to the nearby barbershop where GL John Stewart was currently. On our way Superman met up with us, finally answering John Jones's call. He seemed just as angry with me upon hearing everything that happened, but decided to go along with things for now.

When we arrived at the Barber shop, GL John Stewart walked out and the Manhunters approached him. "Are you the Green Lantern known as John Stewart?"

John stood tall and responded "I am"

The manhunter reached out his robotic hand "Your ring"

John didn't hesitate, taking off his ring and then handing it over to the lead Manhunter.

Superman finally spoke up "John!"

Followed by Hawk Girl "You don't have to do this"

John shouted back at them "Stay out of this"

The Manhunter grabbed GL John Stewart and put him in cuffs and then looked my way. I walked up to the Manhunters and stood beside John.

John looked unhappy "What are you doing?"

I ignored him before whispering to myself, knowing Superman could hear me. "Superman, bring the league and find us, Trust in John Stewart and myself."

Superman looked serious and nodded as the manhunters beamed us away. The beaming technology was not as superior as my own, It was slower, and lacked beauty.

Upon arriving at planet AJURIS 5 where the trial was to happen, I separated myself from the group. John Stewart called out to me as I left "I don't know why you came, but don't do anything stupid"

I threw up my hand and waved back at him as I got lost in a nearby crowd. After finding a place nearby to sit down. I opened up the actors wardrobe and started working on a design so that I could have a singers persona in space that can't be tied to the one back home. Otherwise it would be obvious to the other league members that I am who I am.

I changed my skin color to a shade of green, my eyes red, and my hair bald, seeing that I resembled Piccolo a bit only without the antennae after making the changes, I went ahead and added clothes that resembled Piccolo as well. I chose not to enchant them, mostly because I didn't have the coins to do so and it also wasn't needed.

It felt as if my hair was still on my head, but the system was just hiding it from view. A very odd feeling. The clothes were both baggy and comfortable.

Today I will play the role of a minstrel as I use my music to influence the hearts and minds of those around me and bring doubt to John Stewarts arrest.

I only had a couple hundred coins left after I had bought the two house upgrades before. I bought two songs with it, leaving me with 0 coins. It's less than I had when I was transported to my new earth. I was officially a broke joke.
