RELEASE THE MIGHOULS

Soon, the other shifters arrived. Not just the Flame shifters but the Ice shifters as well. They were coming from two different directions. To the West, behind Jesse, the Flame Shifters who were at least 200 in number had arrived. They were not the only flame shifters, but they were some of them. The Aquilla family spanned over a wide distance. There were more members of the troop who were classified as extended. These flame shifters wore armor that was a mix of gold and red giving it a flame-like hue, just like Jesse's eyes. The chest piece they donned had the symbol of flame encased in ice on it.

To the East, behind Alexander, Ice Shifters, 200 in number as well had arrived. This other group of Aquilla shifters wore armor that was a mix of white and ice blue, giving it a soft pale color. It looked like blue which was bleached white but some blue color still remained. This was the color of Alex's eyes. The chest piece they wore had the symbol of ice encased in flame on it.

Most of the shifters looked over at the pretty human girls, which one of them happened to be the Queen of Aquilla Flame Shifters. They had heard some things about her and now they were seeing her in person. They didn't continue to stare for Fear that Jesse would have their heads rolling on the floor.

Arielle took the girls over to a log of wood which was quite far to avoid any stray attacks hitting them, but it was not too far that they couldn't watch the mock battle. Arielle started telling them about the battle. "The symbols on the chest pieces are a direct opposite of each other but they're linked, just like Jesse and Alexander. The symbol of fire encased in ice belongs to the flame shifters while the ice encased in fire belongs to the Ice shifters. The armor they're wearing will protect them from getting hurt, but not from feeling the impact of the attacks. If an opponent falls on the ground, then he has lost and the person standing will win. The winner will stand aside and after all the duels, each winner will fight another winner until there is only one person left."

An elderly man was seen walking to the center of the battle ground. Both Alexander and Jesse bowed slightly in respect towards this man. This was the first time Eclipse and Raine had seen Jesse or Alexander bow before anyone. 'This man must hold a lot of power, so much so that these rulers bowed before him', Raine thought.

"That is sensei Sil. He might look old and weak but trust me, that man has enough strength to take out all 400 of the Ice and Flame shifters. He is Jesse's and Alexander's father. The only man who can wield both the flame and ice abilities. He was the one who trained the two rulers since birth on martial arts as well as how to use the flame and the ice ability. He's the only one who can give these two brothers a run for their money." Arielle explained.

"Wow. No wonder they bowed before him.", Eclipse said out loud.

Right now, Sil wasn't in father mode. He was in Sensei mode. He looked Jesse sternly in the eye and did same to Alexander. They both nodded their heads. Soon, a calm breeze was felt. It started picking up pace and soon turned wild. The whole ground was silent and only the breeze could be heard. Soon, sounds of moaning and groaning could be heard. The girls turned in the direction of the sounds and saw horrifying creatures walking towards the battle ground. They were chained and being led by some people.

These creatures had gray skin, their feet had blisters on them and were bent the other way. Their heads were bald, their nails deathly long, their fangs, very sharp. But their eyes...they were hollow, they held no emotion. They limped towards the battle field.

"What are those?", Raine asked with a scared look on her face. They wanted to jump out of their seats and run for the hills but Arielle placed her hand on theirs and assured them that they would be safe. She picked up a stone and threw it forward but it crashed against an invisible wall and this made the girls calm down. They were inside some kind of invisible bubble.

"These are Mighouls. They're undead creatures formed by the Shades. But over the years, they've been captured by the Aquilla shifters. They're very difficult to kill as they are already dead. They can regenerate everything except one thing...Their Achilles heel...their heart. If anything goes through their chest, they would die."

The girls looked over at the mighouls trying to see what their chest looked like. They could see a bit of their heart. It was gray in color and did not beat. It was just there, wrapped in lots of bones more like a ribcage for the heart. To get to their Achilles heel, one would have to break through all those bones. The creatures were very disgusting to look at.

Sensei Sil brought his palms together and a huge black circular ring was formed. In that ring 4 creatures would be. One Flame shifter, One Ice Shifter and 2 Mighouls. The shifters are to kill the mighoul before trying their best to topple their opponent over. It was a well thought out game. If the mighoul damages the armor to the point where it cannot protect the person wearing it, the ring will automatically remove the person from the ring so that he or she can be healed.

Soon, the flapping sound of wings could be heard. Again, the girls turned to see what new creature popped up. They saw the most ethereal and elegant creatures they had ever seen in their lives...Fairies. These fairies were quite small but they could be seen. There were about 50 fairies with clothes, wings and hairs of different colors.

"Wow, they're so pretty", Raine exclaimed with her mouth agape.

Arielle chuckled and said, "These are healer fairies. There are other kinds of fairies like war fairies and the rest, but today, we need the healer fairies in case of any emergency."

One of the fairies went to the center of the battle field and first bowed to Sil, then Jesse, before Alexander. Then she headed in the direction of the three girls. She was meant to be a spectator as well as her attendants could do the work perfectly. When she got close to the bubble, she had no problem passing through it and finally, the human girls could see a fairy for the first time ever up close.

She had long overflowing pink hair, snow white skin, pink lips, pink eyes, and golden wings. She wore a pink and gold dress with a pink strappy shoe. She was a sight to behold.

"This is Titania, Queen of the Fairies. She will be watching the event with us. Queen Titania, This is Eclipse and this is Raine." Arielle introduced the people to each other.

"Nice to meet you Queen", Raine and Eclipse said in unison. "Nice to meet you girls too. Hope you don't mind me sitting over here?", she asked.

"We dare not.", Eclipse said and Titania sat on the log of wood with them. She was so tiny she didn't really take up space.

Soon, the ring was created and one shifter from each side entered and Sil said in a loud and booming voice, "Release the mighouls" and the people in charge of the mighouls released to mighouls and used their manipulation ability to guide them towards the ring and the battle began.
