In The Forbidden Forest A Second Time
The girls were on the move. Eclipse turned to ask Arielle a question, "we're going to see Jesse right?".
"Yeah, we are. I hope you remember that you have to go and meet him whenever he sends for you.", Arielle said, looking at Eclipse with a brow raised.
"Yeah. I remember. So what's the occasion? Why are we all dressed up?", Eclipse asked, taking a look at hers and Raine's clothes.
Arielle chuckled, "Must there be an occasion before a girl can doll herself up?". Raine laughed and couldn't agree more with what Arielle said. Raine liked all the fashionable things but never had the money to acquire them. Now that she got these things, she felt grateful and couldn't complain, but the shy and introvert Eclipse complained because she felt that these clothes were to expensive for one to wear without there being an occasion.
"Anyway, you girls are gonna watch the Aquilla shifters practice. We always have practicals like a duel every month, to check where all the shifters stand in terms of strength, ability, and others and to improve the overall skills of all the shifters. Jesse thought that you girls would like to watch...correction, he thought that Eclipse would like to watch while I did the thinking for you Raine."
Raine rolled her eyes playfully and started nudging Eclipse and wiggling her brows. Eclipse turned red and went over to Arielle, trying to avoid Raine, which caused Raine and Arielle to laugh.
"So all the Aquilla shifters would be present?", Raine asked.
"Yes, they would all be present but not all the shifters would have the practicals today because there are a lot of shifters in the Aquilla family", Arielle answered.
They were finally at the borderline of the forest. The sand right at the beginning, the entrance of the forest, seemed to be pulsing with blue energy. It was one of the phenomenon which led the villagers to believe that the forest is haunted by supernatural beings.
Raine and Eclipse took a deep breath before they stepped into the forest with Arielle right behind them. The girls noticed that the forest was darker on the inside than on the outside. It looked as if it was around 7pm when it was just around 9am. They could hear the sound of owls hooting and wolves howling in the distance.
Raine started talking to fill in the silence, "This place still gives me the creeps. It's so eery. No offense Ari since it's practically your home." The girls started laughing after hearing Raine speak.
"None taken. Don't worry, sooner or later you'd get used to it cause you guys will be coming here a lot often.", Arielle said.
Eclipse started thinking about Jesse in his gorilla form when he protected her from those vampires and lycans. She thought about his charming and seductive smile, his flame-like eyes, his raven black hair, his toned body. 'Wait, what am I thinking, I must be crazy', she thought. Unaware that her companions were looking at her and could already guess what or who she was thinking about.
"So little miss introvert is falling in love at first sight?", Raine asked and started whistling. Eclipse was at the point of crying out of embarrassment. She looked at Raine with pouted lips and round big eyes. She was so adorable at that moment.
"Stop talking Raine or I'll shove my fist into your mouth", she threatened lowly which caused the girls to errupt with laughter again. Soon they reached an open space which only had some logs of wood here and there, but apart from that, it was totally barren. The sand on the ground was pure white in color. Looking around, the girls could see three guys and a girl. One of the guys was Jesse who sensed Eclipse's presence and started walking towards her. Her heart started racing again which was heard by everyone except Raine, since they had supernatural hearing.
He stopped just in front of Eclipse and lowered his head to peck her on the cheek. He whispered into her ears, "I missed you so much. After this, we'll spend some time together sweetheart", then he pecked her again before standing straight. One of the other guys and the girl came forward and bowed before her. Her eyes went as wide as saucers seeing these mighty creatures bowing before her like she was some goddess or something.
"Ehh, please don't do that. Stand up", she said.
"It is our honor and duty to bow before our queen." The girl said.
The other guy who hadn't come over to bow before her was Jesse's brother, Alexander. Only the members of the Draven family were given the permission to not bow before her, but most times even Arielle would have to submit before the flame queen. The only ones who would not submit no matter what were Jesse and Alexander.
