11: "First Date Surprise"

In that decisive moment, I Gave Rayan, her phone number, "Brother, go and mend things with her, or she might just decide to take legal action against me." I whispered but ended up giggling. Without a moment's hesitation, Rayan took the number and left us alone.

"What just happened, darling?"

Shan looked at me, his eyes filled with bewilderment.

"It's all part of a plan, my love. Rayan will be preoccupied with Irha, leaving us with the perfect opportunity for some quality time together." I grinned.

His gaze held a mixture of surprise and admiration. "I'm proud of you," he uttered sincerely.

"OK ok, good night." I hurriedly retreated to my room before he could see my blushy cheeks.

As I stepped into my room, a notification popped up on my phone.

"Hey love, let's meet at Stratford tomorrow at 9 a.m❤"

It was from Shanawer.

Without waiting for a second to pass by, I texted back.

"Sure thing, fingers crossed that Rayan doesn't turn into shadow.🙄"

It wasn't any later, he replied.

"No worries, he won't. I've reached out to Irha just keep Rayan entertained so i can spend some quality time with my lady 😉"

I blushed at his response, it wouldn't be longer before my heart would bleed his name.

"Why Mr Charmer! Eager, are we?"

I bite my lip in anticipation of his msg.

Shanawer's response was swift and affectionate,

"Absolutely, my love. If it were up to me, I would never leave❤️😘"

My heart danced at his words, and with a blush, I typed my reply. I couldn't resist adding a final flirtatious comment.

"Easy there! My love sleep well and dream of me ❤️😉"

"Good night, my beautiful. I'll be dreaming of you❤️😘"

Every message exchanged deepened the connection between us, infusing the night with the promise of tomorrow's rendezvous. The anticipation settled within me like a warm embrace, leaving me restless yet excited for what lay ahead. Little did I know, this encounter would set in motion a series of events that would forever alter the course of our story, weaving intricate threads of fate and love. As the moon bathed the world outside in its gentle glow, I closed my eyes, heart brimming with a cocktail of emotions, and drifted into dreams that held a glimpse of the future we were about to unfold together.

As the sun's golden rays filtered through my curtains, I awakened to a sense of excitement that filled every corner of my being. After a refreshing shower, I opened my wardrobe with a heart full of anticipation, knowing that this day held something extraordinary. Settling on an elegant black floor-length gown, I meticulously straightened my voluminous hair until it cascaded down my back in a graceful cascade. With a subtle touch, I applied makeup that accentuated my features without overshadowing my natural beauty. Completing the look with sleek black high heels and a matching purse, I felt ready to embrace whatever the day had in store. As I descended the staircase, a newfound confidence emanated from me, a silent promise to seize the moment.

As I entered the TV lounge, the aroma of morning tea filled the air, where my parents savoured their brew, Shan and Rayan occupied themselves with breakfast. Their astonishment was palpable as they looked at me, prompting Mom to inquire, "Are you headed somewhere, my dear?"

A smile played on my lips as I answered, "Indeed, Mom. I've arranged a get-together with friends before we get separated. We have no idea what the future holds, so this is our chance."

"Enjoy your breakfast before you head out, darling." Mom chuckled.

"Of course, Mom," I replied, masking my true intentions.

Seated at the dining table, I felt Shanawer's gaze on me, a look of admiration and affection shining in his eyes, accompanied by a gentle smile.

Rayan, however, was intrigued. "You usually keep it simple. What's special about today?" He asked

With a knowing smile, I retorted, "Nothing out of the ordinary, Rayan. You've been away for a while; there's much you haven't seen."

Rayan's attention shifted to Shan, who continued to watch me, and Rayan playfully chided, "Ease up on the staring; you'll bore a hole through her."

Blushing, I met Shan's gaze, and his laughter filled the air, while Rayan mused, "There's something fishy going on, mark my words."

Interrupting the banter, Dad inquired, "So, sweetheart, where's the destination for this get-together? Will Rayan be your chauffeur?"

"I have it covered, Dad. Gina will pick me up," I responded, subtly mentioning my dependable friend.

Acknowledging my words, Dad nodded, saying, "Alright, dear."

Curiosity got the better of him, and he turned to Rayan and Shan, asking, "When's your flight tomorrow?"

"What does that mean, Rayan? Is he leaving?" A hint of disbelief lingered in my voice as I questioned.

Confirming my suspicions, Dad nodded.

Rayan beamed, "Indeed, my vacation's over. Back to Toronto and back to work."

The weight of reality settled in, and I replied somberly, "I see, I'm done. See you all later." my appetite dwindled as I excused myself.

Noticing my gloom, Shan sent me a comforting text, ""Meet you at Stratford. Don't be sad, Rayan's distracted by Irha that's why he's in high spirit."

Reading his words, I typed back, "Okay." accompanied by a smile.

I kissed my parents' foreheads, conveying my departure.

Meanwhile, a conversation between Rayan and Shan unfolded

Rayan quizzed Shan, "Hey, where were you off to in that wanderer's getup?"

Slightly confused, Shan answered, "You're being ridiculous. This is my usual attire. Oh, by the way, remember my friend who dropped me off at the coffee shop last time? I've got a business meeting with him. You could tag along if you're interested."

"Nah, I've got my hands full with my Love." With a chuckle, Rayan replied.

"Did you inform your sister that Irha accepted your proposal?", Shan inquired curiously.

"Oh no, it slipped my mind. I'll let her know when she's back." Rayan confessed.

"You missed that she left her breakfast. She seemed upset upon hearing about your departure."

"Really? I was deep into my conversation with Irha. I completely disregarded Zonish. She must be sensing my old behaviour returning, causing her anxiety," Rayan responded, concern evident in his voice.

"Don't worry. Talk to her later. I'm running late now. Take care, catch you later." Shan assured him.

Before leaving, Shan addressed Rayan's parents, "See you at dinner. Take care until then." A kiss on Aunt's forehead conveyed the affection he held for her, a sentiment mirrored in her love for him.

Zonish POV:-

Seating in Gina's car, and looking out the window, the realization hit me hard of my brother's and Shan's departure, days passed by quickly.

"Zoni, today holds a special significance for you. Why the melancholy?" she probed gently, my fave must be looking like a crying baby.

"It's nothing major. Just that Rayan and Shanawer are leaving tomorrow." I confided.

Gina's soothing voice offered comfort, "Dear bestie, remember, we're off to Toronto in a month. And you introduced me to Irha; her story has piqued my curiosity. I can't wait to meet her."

A smile tugged at my lips as I replied, "Absolutely."

Gina teased, "So, where's your Prince Charming sweeping you off to on your first date?"

Blushing, I answered softly, "We're meeting at Stratford."

Gina quipped, "Impressive choice."

Lost in thought, I found myself pondering about Stratford, a place that held the promise of new beginnings and the unfolding of a story that was yet to be told.

Lost in my thoughts, I found myself ruminating on the enchanting beauty of Stratford Place. Nestled in the heart of the city, this historic street boasted cobblestone paths flanked by charming shops and cafes, each exuding its distinctive allure. The pedestrian-friendly ambience made it an ideal locale for strolls with a loved one or a casual afternoon of shopping and dining. Overhead, lanterns bathed the street in a warm, inviting glow, casting an irresistible charm, especially during the evening hours, and rendering it a coveted destination for romantic outings. With its rich history and picturesque architecture, Stratford Place held a special place in the hearts of both locals and tourists.

In the recesses of my mind, I couldn't help but reflect on my extraordinary fortune. "I must have accumulated some good karma in a past life to deserve such an incredible man," I mused silently. A heartfelt wish arose within me, hoping that Shan and I would always remain inseparable.

Gina's voice broke my reverie, her keen eyes detecting the faint smile that graced my lips. "What's on your mind, Zoni?" she inquired.

I replied, "Oh, nothing," my cheeks tinged with a hint of blush.

She playfully warned, "Whatever it is, remember to spill all the details later."

With an amused chuckle, I assured her, "Of course, I'll keep you in the loop."

"Stay vigilant," she cautioned, her eyes holding a twinkle of mischief. "And most importantly, enjoy your first date with Shan."

Our conversation was chugging along and then, out of nowhere, this dude, glided in looking like he'd just stepped off the cover of a fashion magazine. "Shan?" I exclaimed, trying not to snort with laughter, as he opened the door of the car for me. And Gina came out too.
