It’s 1am and I’m still awake

Man it's super weird laying here and not hearing anything. Usually there's someone driving by, someone downstairs playing with the dog or at least someone using the bathroom. Nope not right now though.

It's too late for my house to be awake... or should I say too early? I don't know why but it's so weird to think that it's technically already the next day... time is such a weird idea.

Now that I work the late shift (6pm to 2:30am) my view of time is so screwed. I'm starting the day when people are getting ready to eat and I finish the day when everyone's asleep.

I didn't realize how much I ramble until I start writing down everything I think. Man I think of really stupid stuff when I'm tired and everything is quiet...

I think I might try one of the writing contests Webnovel hosts... I was looking at some of their writing prompts the other day and I was surprised to see some really interesting ones, maybe I could actually write an ok story if I based it off of their ideas? Maybe then my plan wouldn't get so jumbled up and I could actually tell an ok story. Hmmm I'll wait for the current ones to reset and see what's coming next! I definitely couldn't win since there's a lot more people with better writing and more commitment than me... but to say I wrote something to be proud of could be pretty cool...

I guess only time will tell
