Chapter 25: Lost

Leila sits there with her knees pulled to her chest.

How long has it been?

Days?

Weeks?

Months...?

She hopes it’s not the latter most option. Her mind had lost track of time as the days ticked by, and there was no rescue. Ryu drains her blood every day for her defiance.

How long before he snaps?

Where was Ezra?

Her heart aches. Tears pool in her eyes as she’s alone in Ryu’s chambers for the moment. She would never let him see her cry, but she did take the time alone to let her feelings release.

She’s angry, scared and sad. Being the weapon had zero perks. At first, she had hoped it would’ve kept Ryu from being so aggressive, but this was quickly proven wrong when he would bite down into her neck, repeatedly dragging his fangs through her flesh to cause her even more pain.
