Chapter 235 Kamado siblings

Ichigo was escorted to a courtyard with Kagaya. Everything seemed fine until, just before they reached the courtyard, Kagaya's body condition suddenly deteriorated, causing him to remain still for a second.

"Please go on before me your lordship. I will get better soon and catch up with you."

Ichigo wanted to help him right away, but it seemed that something more troublesome was happening, so he told him that he would help him later.

He saw that many people were gathered in the courtyard. He could tell that all of them were Hashira because they were at the peak of human power.

Even Mitsuri was there as well. She hadn't reached the blacksmith village yet when she got a call to head back to the headquarters. She looked at him with a smile and even waved at him. She was very energetic and never tired of spreading positivity.

Ichigo waved back at her, then he focused on what happened.

Ichigo looked at the reason why Hashira had to gather. It was because of a pair of brothers and sisters. There was a Hashira that was with them as well. He seemed to be very concerned about the pair's well being.

His name was Tomioka Giyu. He seemed to be a nice guy but friendless for some reasons.

Both the brother and sister were captured by a Hashira named Kanae Shinobu. The brother's name was Kamado Tanjirou, and the sister's name was Kamado Nezuko.

"Please don't hurt Nezuko. She never harms anyone!" Tanjurou pleaded with tears in his eyes.

He was a great brother for standing up for his little sister and trying to protect her. However, he was still weak, and he couldn't help her. He was pinned to the ground by the guards.

Sanami showed a disgusted expression on his face while holding a big bamboo box that Nezuko was inside.

He hated demons, so there was no way he would show mercy to Nezuko.

"Never harms anyone? Hah! Do you think I would believe that? All demons are the same, vicious creatures that must be eradicated without hesitation." 

Sanami had a reason for the hatred, but Ichigo didn't think it should be enough of a reason for him to act like that before he checked if it were true or not.

He looked through the bamboo box and saw Nezuko in a fetal position. Her soul was very pure. Even though her body was like that of the demon. Ichigo didn't think that she deserved to die.

'In fact, her body is more like a vampire than a demon.'

Sanemi wanted to use his sword to test Nezuko's demon instinct by stabbed her. He was also going to pour his blood on her to see if she would go crazy or not.

With that, he would be justified in killing her.

But before he could do that, he heard a word he came to fear the most.

"Bakudo #1 Sai"

"Wh—"

Sanemi was immobilized by a binding spell. The bamboo box containing Nezuko was opened, revealing her peaceful and cute expression.

Ichigo when he saw her. He couldn't help but think of Hana.

"Who are you?! What have you done to Wind Hashira!" All of the Hashira who didn't know Ichigo pointed their swords at him.

They could tell that it was him who attacked Sanemi.

"Everyone, please calm down! Don't provoke Ichigo-sama!" 

Mitsuri, who witnessed his power firsthand, tried to stop everyone. She didn't want them to have the same fate as Sanemi.

However, Obanai, who didn't like Ichigo from the beginning, ignored Mitsuri's plea and continued to approach Ichigo with his sword drawn.

"Stay away, Misturi. He has attacked the Wind Hashira. He is a threat."

He wanted to use this chance to get rid of Ichigo.

"I can't let you go after the sneak attack on one of the Hashira. You are a threat that needs to be eliminated," Obanai declared, his eyes filled with coldness.

He really wanted to kill Ichigo, as he didn't know that he had become Kagaya's guest.

Mitsuri could only watch in horror as the situation escalated. She wanted to stop Obanai, but everything was too late. The situation had already spiraled out of control.

Ichigo ignored Obanai completely, as he was that insignificant. Even if he just stood still and let him attack, Obanai wouldn't be able to even scratch his skin.

Obanai felt very angry that Ichigo was underestimating him so much. With a swift movement, Obanai lunged at Ichigo.

His sword was aimed at Ichigo's neck, ready to end his life once and for all.

His sword got into contact with his neck, and he thought that Ichigo's neck would be cut off. However, to his astonishment, his sword was shattered because of the impact. 

Ichigo's neck was still there, unscathed and unaffected.

"Is that all you can do?"

"What is happening?"

Every Hashira witnessed what happened and could not believe their eyes. How could a human's neck be that strong?

Obanai was then gently tapped on the head by Ichigo. However, his body was smashed to the ground. He should have died from the impact, but he was healed by an unknown power.

The other Hashira, except Mitsuri, wanted to attack him and help Obanai.

"We have to attack him all at once and help Obanai. He must be a demon!"

They thought that he was a demon, and the power he showed them was demon arts, which wasn't wrong.

"Bakudo #62 Hyapporankan." Ichigo used Bakudo because he didn't want to harm them like he did with Obanai.

He threw rods of light to seal their movement. The hostile Hashira struggled to break free from the rods of light, but no matter what, they couldn't escape.

Ichigo then walked toward Nezuko. She looked at him with her pink eyes. She was curious to know what he was going to do next.

She wasn't afraid of him, as she didn't feel threatened by his presence. He reached out his hand and gently touched her face, feeling the warmth of her skin.

"She isn't a demon yet, not completely. I can still heal her." Ichigo was confident. He might even be able to cure the full demon transformation if he was given enough time.

Nezuko didn't know what he was talking about. But she liked being touched by him. She could feel that Ichigo was someone she could trust by instinct.
