Chapter 234 Become a Hashira

Ichigo looked at Kagaya. He was now bowing his head toward him.

Everything went as he had thought. Kagaya wanted something from him.

"Please help us eliminate the demons! And I will do whatever it takes to repay you!"

The lord bowed his head, showing how desperate he was for his help in eradicating the demons.

He wished for him to be Hashira and to help him fight the demons. In exchange, he would do everything in his power to repay him.

Ichigo didn't refuse outright, he thought about it a little bit to see the pros and cons.

'With his family influence, finding someone would be much easier than me looking for Great Red alone.'

Ichigo decided that it wouldn't be hard to handle the demons. So the deal actually benefited him more.

"What obligation do I have to fulfill when I become Hashira?"

He hoped that it wouldn't be as busy as the work of a captain.

Kagaya then replied with a smile.

"All your lordship is obligated to do is protect innocent people from demons. And if possible, please eradicate the upper moon rank demons. I will also provide your lordship with everything that your lordship needs."

Kagaya was very confident in his power to support him. And he was very convinced that Ichigo should be able to fight with the upper moon rank demons when he could suppress Sanemi with ease.

"I don't know how strong the Upper Moon Rank demons really are. Can your lordship tell me more about them in detail?" Ichigo asked.

He was certain that he could get rid of them without much difficulty. They were at best low-class, while he was a low-tier god. The difference in power was simply too vast for him to be concerned about.

However, he wanted to know more about them generally. How they came to be and if there were any other beings of similar power.

Kagaya nodded, and then he told him everything in detail. He even told him about their leader. The one who had created them all was Kibutsuji Muzan.

"If your lordship finds him and kills him, every demon he created would be exterminated as well. But because he was afraid of death, it has been near impossible to find him." 

The Demon Slayer Corps had been tirelessly searching for him for years. However, they were either killed by the upper moon rank demons or injured beyond repair.

So finding him was like finding a needle in a haystack.

Ichigo didn't think much about it. He didn't know much about demons in this world. But he would check them out when he found one. And after that, finding their progenitor wouldn't be hard.

"I will try to do something about it. I think it wouldn't take me too much time to track them down, but it wouldn't be good for the long run."

Ichigo thought if he found Great Red first before he could fulfill his promise, it would be bad for them. He might have to make them strong enough to deal with the demons on their own.

He should awaken their bloodline. Yokai should be superior to the demons in this world.

Kagaya felt relief when he heard Ichigo and when he was about to speak to him further. Someone came beside him and said something to him.

Ichigo could feel that something troublesome had happened.

Kagaya looked at him and then said to him,

"Your lordship, something unexpected happened. Would you like to join me? Someone has found a demon that never harms humans. She was captured and brought here with her big brother for interrogation, it seems he is one of us."

Troublesome indeed. Ichigo nodded. He also wanted to check out the demon.

Inside the Void. Ophis was now face-to-face with Great Red, who had just woken up from his slumber.

"Baka Red, where is my mate?"

Ophis questioned Great Red. She saw him floating around the void, drunk. She could smell Ichigo's scent from him and wanted to ask him where Ichigo was.

Ichigo was targeted by the being outside their universe, so he shouldn't be inside the void because he might be in danger.

Great Red took a few minutes to recall what happened.

"I brought him here to show him my cool driving skills. I thought I would bring him home after that, but I was too drunk and just threw him inside a blackhole and said he could go home from there... But because I was too drunk, I might throw him in the wrong one."

That was the last thing he remembered.

"Shit! I just threw my brother-in-law inside a blackhole! And I don't know where it would lead him!"

Great Red yelled, horrified at his actions. So this was why no one wanted to be around him when he was drunk. Even Ophis.

Ophis heard that, and she became colder and colder. Her brother just threw her mate into a blackhole. And he didn't know where he might end up.

If it was inside their universe, then it would be good, but if it was outside, there was no way he would be safe. Being outside their universe would do everything to consume him.

Ophis used her authority over space and time. She tried to scan every blackhole inside their universe. But it would take some time before she could find him.

"I'll help you too, my sister." Great Red said and used his authorities as well.

"You better pray that my mate is safe. Otherwise, I would never speak with you again."

Great Red nodded and tried his best to find his brother-in-law. With him and her using authorities. They should be able to find him. 

Ichigo was stronger than the average low-tier god. He was confident that he should be able to protect himself before they found him.
