Chapter 11: Deep in the forest, Close call

Close Call!

The group of 5 people didn't chase after me, must have assumed I only got 2 coins from that kill before.

Running hurryingly to the depths of the forest for anything to kill that drops coins Broken Fire looked like a mad dog.

Broken Fire was so shocked that he lost his sanity, the game that the government pushed for was a game that redistributed the wealth of every country and every man. While he hadn't even payed his rent.

Broken Fire however knew that there was higher tier gaming capsules that made the game more responsive giving a slight competitive advantage, but the more you spent on capsules the more ridiculous that gap became.

Having the reaction speed to feel something more intense or get the knowledge of how cold the surroundings were brought a new advantage to the game. This was also because as long as you were in combat, The chance to hit attacks were based on how many skills you could land in the amount of time the monster or person reacts to you.

He spotted a Wolf pack of 3 Wolves and jumped from a bush onto the closest one using Great Slash dealing 25 damage.

A madman no doubt.

After Broken Fire landed a Great Slash on the closest wolf, he did a summersault and got off the ground standing up. Observing the 3 wolves he noticed that they were all Level 1. The same as the one lone wolf he fought before.

Getting a sneak attack he then following up after standing up and punched the same wolf with a regular attack with his fist doing 16 damage and slamming the wolf on a tree.

With those 2 attacks the other pair of wolves finally reacted and both lunged at him using their Special Ability Bite, One aimed at the his chest and the other aimed the Bite at his left leg.

The Wolf aiming at his leg got him pretty good and dealt 10 damage to him.

With that attack he then bent his back backwards to watch as the second wolf completely missed him and went flying behind him. With the wolf being on his leg, Broken Fire kicked the wolf with his other leg preforming a regular attack on the wolf doing 14 damage and getting it off of his leg but still close.

As he preformed that attack both other wolves finally got up and prepared to attack Broken Fire.

Broken Fire rolled towards the 1st wolf he attacked with Great Slash going off cooldown and hitting the wolf for another 25 damage, highlighting the wolf in bright red, signifying it was bloodied.

With that he then noticed both wolves attacking from behind, both preforming the Special ability Bite.

He got attacked by both wolves on the back and dealt 20 damage to him. Still in range and just focusing on the wolf that was the lowest he preformed the Special Ability Pounding dealing 20 damage(10% of max hp) to the already low wolf and slamming it to the ground.

Calculating the damage in his head, the wolf was at 14hp and trying to finish it off he used a regular attack on it hoping for a lucky hit.

When hitting the wolf with his spare hand he dealt 2 damage. A pitiful hit, and since the wolf just got un-stunned from being pounded into the ground it used its Special Ability Bite dealing another 10 damage to Broken Fire, while that wolf attacked with Bite the other two Wolves dislodged there jaws from his legs and attacked with a slash of their claws. Both preforming a regular attack. The first claw hit for 1 damage and the second claw hit for 10 damage. Dealing a combined attack of 11 damage.

Broken Fire's Health Points were at 139.

After being hit by all these attacks and everything being on cooldown he preformed another regular attack of a punch on the low wolf dealing 16hp, killing the wolf finally.

After that wolf died the wounded wolf that got hit earlier for 14 damage ran away while the untouched wolf still lunged for Broken Fire hitting him with another Bite for 10 damage(129hp).

With money in the sights of Broken Fire he attacked with the newly off cooldown Great Slash. After that attack the wolf got off of his body and slashed him with it's claws doing a regular attack for 7 damage. With that attack complete Broken Fire attacked with a regular attack since Pounding was still on cooldown for another 5 seconds. Dealing a whopping 20 damage! With some quick math the wolf was at 55hp left and after using it's claws the Wolf used the Special Bite again hitting him in the leg for another 10 damage.

This whole confrontation really showed the power of gear and leveling because without his sword and the level from his quest he would not have survived this.

The Wolf attacked with his claws doing maximum damage of 10 damage. After being attacked for so many times he was used to being dealt 10 damage with a bite and the Wolf having to take a break of getting off his body and making a regular attack. A pretty easy attack pattern.

Broken Fire noticed that Pounding was off cooldown so he used the hilt of his sword to pound the head of the wolf dealing 20 more damage. Stunning the Wolf in the ground he then followed up with a regular attack doing 18 damage.

The wolf then got off the ground and pounced again like the many times before hand and hit him with Bite for another 10 damage. If he didn't level up then he would have died, and this was just with 2 wolves really attacking him all the time. His current HP what 92.

With the wolf attacking him his Great Slash finally came off cooldown and dealt a overkilling amount of damage to the wolf, killing it making its body disappearing.

Level Up!

After looking at his level on the interface displaying 3 he smiled and satisfied with the level up.

Looking at the ground around him was 6 copper coins, 5 (White) Wolf Claws, and 2 (White) Wolf Hides.

Few that was a close call, Broken Fire thought to himself looking at his Health Points at Half.

Noticing he was not healing he decided to go back to the City of Strata to see what was happening.

On his trek back he saw many parties of people fighting wolves.

He noticed that most of the groups had a standard party of almost every combat class, the rare one being Rouge. You could tell almost everyone's class from a distance because of the starter gear they were given. He also noted that rarely, in a rate of maybe 1:5 parties there was a supplementary class dragging along for EXP, not doing much.

Also he noticed that comparing to when he came outside and returning to the city it was almost quadruple the number of people in the nearby area.

Once he was back to the City he passed by a ginormous line to get into Harry's Blacksmith class building. He entered the building cutting the line and made all the people in line riot with shock.

There was a person hammering at a anvil trying to make what it looked like a longsword, the first quest Broken Fire ever got.

"Doing the two quests again for everyone?" said Broken Fire

"Ho ho ho, no your the only one to get two, everyone will be getting one for I don't need 2 Divine Blacksmiths to worry about" said Harry

"Where can I make some new items in this city?" said Broken Fire

He decided to make some better items before exploring farther into the depths of Forest Mountain.

Over the clanging of a hammer Harry said that he had a small spare room with a anvil or go to a blacksmith shop and rent out a room.

Considering that he only had 8 copper he decided on the first option and walked over to a door in the corner of the Blacksmith Class building. Entering the room the door Squeaked so loud it was alert anyone in the building that someone entered.

After closing the unmanaged door(SQUEAK!) he noticed a small table to put items, a small Anvil, and a stool. Nothing else, as nothing else was needed to forge(make) weapons in this game. Hammering a item would heat it up if it was metal and if it was something that didn't need heated up it wouldn't heat it. Once the progress bar was at 100% it would automatically complete the item intended and give it a appropriate ability.

Noticing that the only thing he could actually forge with was the (White) Wolf Claws he went outside of the door(SQUEAK!) and asked Harry for some simple Iron Ingots.

"Ho ho ho, I do have iron but I sell it for profit usually.

Since you are almost my apprentice I will sell it to you for what I bought it, 1 copper. "

said Harry.

"1 copper is pretty cheap" said Broken Fire.

"1 unit of regular wood, 1 iron ingot, and other simple materials are all usually 1 copper for the seller and the seller usually sells it wholesale for 3 copper to everyone.

The common stuff is made up by fellow people around New Heaven but the more unique materials and other expensive stuff prices are determined by the Heavenly Auction House." said Harry.

"So what do these Wolf Claws sell for?" said Broken Fire as he handed them to Harry.

Clang!(In the background)

"They are of the most basic of common materials from a Level 1 Wolf in these parts. Most Blacksmiths in this Heaven will sell it to you for about 5 copper but would probably pay 2 copper for it." said Harry

"Ok I will take 7 iron ingots" said Harry, considering that he had 6 (White) Wolf Claws and wanted to try and make some starter combat items for himself.

After completing the purchase Gruv walked back to the door and as he was about to open it he could hear the player that was forging items curse out loud and Harry say:

""Ho ho ho, One more try little adventurer" said Harry.

Opening and closing the door he went and sat down on the stool getting ready to forge items
