Massacre

Decided to exit the building for now the group of anbu found themselves in a predicament when they were outside.

"Why exactly are the civilians surrounding us with weapons?" Fū asked out loud.

"Maybe they think we were going to kill them after?" Tori added

"While that is a logical way of thinking why would we not finish them off first they are unarmed and weaker then the guards." Torune retorts

"Well not exactly since they have no means of defense that makes them more dangerous as they would do anything to save themselves if we tried to kill them." Rhya added

"CHARGE!!" A elderly civilian yells as he runs towards the group pick axe in hand.

"AGHHHH" multiple yells and cheers could be heard as men and women charged towards the group.

"Well that's surprising, setting them free and this is how they return the favor." Fū murmured.

"Yeah but it's rather annoying, hey Torune let's finish this up quickly." Rhya said as he and Torune prepared to cut down anyone who got to close.

Once a few men got close to Rhya he started making hand signs and taking a deep breath inflating his chest.

'(Fire Style: Fire stream)'

Breathing out a stream of pure fire seven of the closest attackers upper body's directly turned into ash.

"Eh? To much?" Rhya mumbled

As Torune watched Rhya mow down one after another of the attacking villagers he sighed and took of his gloves revealing his purple hands.

But unlike Rhya he didn't wait for the enemy to get close and he charged towards them.

Each man or woman he passed was left on the ground moaning in agony as the venomous beetles spread throughout their body and killed off their cells.

Jumping away from a axe Rhya started the hand signs for a combination Jutsu.

Out of the blood soaked ground the head and body of a eastern style dragon arose and with stunning speeds made its way towards a group of attackers.

But the poor civilians didn't know that this simple looking attack was much more.

As soon as the beast hit the ground in the middle of a large group it exploded throwing shards of hardened earth and flames everywhere.

"AGHHHH HELP SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!"

The agonizing wails of the injured carried over to his ears, Did he feel bad? No. This was a life or death situation and he wasn't dying.

In 20 minutes it was over. 68 civilians turned hostile were killed after attacking the group.

The remaining civilians all trembled at sight of four men mercilessly mowing men and women down like it was a walk in the park.

"m-m-monsters" a woman muttered out seeing the men casually cleaning off the weapons they had been using.

"I-It was a massacre…" a man said looking at the disfigured body's.

"Now what?" Rhya asked rejoining the rest of the group.

"Just use a Fire Style Jutsu to clean up the body's and we can take the rest as prisoners for now." Fū said

Nodding their heads Tori and Torune went to subdue the remaining survivors while Rhya used a few Fire Style Jutsu's and cleaned up most the bodies and blood.

It was night time around the 'village' and not a sound could be heard. All of the civilians had been captured and are being held inside the compound and Rhya and set up warding seals around the perimeter of the village so no one would enter and if they did he would know.

Inside the room the group had designated as the testing ground, a man was strapped into the chair with his hands and feet bound by leather straps.

"MMPH" "MMMMPHF" he screamed but the gag in his mouth prevented him from getting anything out.

Clicking a button on a small panel near the door Rhya started the operation while planning to watch what happens.

When the button was released a chest piece appeared from the back of the chair and locked around the chest of the frightened man.

Then the needles came in piercing the arms and neck of the man as the hoses connected to them started sucking out his mana sending it to another room.

Instead of watching the rest of the treatment, Rhya walked out of the room and followed the tubes down a hallway where they lead into another room, Opening the door he saw a dimly lit room with three containers that were filled to the brim with a light blue energy visible to the naked eye.

'Hmm this must be the mana extracted from all of those men.' Rhya thought as he examined the glass containers.

'Truly what a find this could help us out a lot.' He mumbled while turning and head in towards the door.

The group was meeting it what appeared to be a cafeteria section of the small compound. Around a table they could be seen giving each other information on what they have found.

"When I searched I found the sleeping quarters of the guards along with personal notes and other non important things." Tori said

"I found what appeared to be a armory of sorts, it held many brooms and swords but nothing more no kunai Shuriken or Senbon. Aside from that I found a not used library." Fū said.

"I stumbled upon what appears to be the head of this villages quarters, They had some sketches and notes about something called 'Mage Stones' along with a few of the so called stone within this box. Torune spoke while putting a box on the table they had been sitting at.

"I tested the chair out on a prisoner earlier and I found out what's it's used for, it's sucks out the mana from a person and stores it inside of a tank hidden inside another room." Rhya added while eyeing a mage stone.

"Sucks their mana out? But why would that leave them in the state they are left in?" Fū asked.

"It appears it is a side affect of the machine, taking out the vitality of the person they are extracting mana out of." Rhya responded.

"Hmm….Rhya can you study and write down as much as you know about mana so we can get to know it better?" Fū requested.

"I was already planning to do so." Rhya responded

Fū reached into his cloak and pulled out a piece of paper and a few books and slid it over too Rhya.

"What's this?" Rhya asked

"I went through a few guards and civilians minds to learn about how magic works plus I found a few books in the library that better explain it." Fū explained.
