Amanda thought she was born this way, to be betrayed, and end up like a fool who doesn't know what it is to live like a powerful person. She only dreamed of living a simple life with Edmund, her fiancée. However, she didn't expect to be betrayed by someone she'd loved. She's lost everything but the precious ring her mother had given her. Knowing she couldn't let them have their way, she swallowed the ring before plunging to her death. Chapter 22
Everyone then shifted into silence.
Sabrina then gave eye contact with Simeon.
"Dad. I'm marrying Sabrina." Simeon took her hand,
Both Nicholas and Barney looked at him.
Surprisingly, Nicholas approved,
"But, after your marriage, you're going back to your own company."
Simeon looked at him in shock.
"But who's going to run the company then?"
"One successor will run it." Nicholas stood up.
Simeon already knew that it was part of Selene's will before she passed away.
At dinner, Amanda didn't show up.
She said she'll have it later.
"Did the will say if you marry me, you'll be back to your old company?" Sabrina asked Simeon,
"Yeah. But we still have a chance." Simeon paused.
"What chance?" Shannon asked,
"The will didn't say anything about who will run the company, and father said one who succeeds will do it." Simeon put down his fork.
"You mean Shannon will be the one who's going to run it?" Sabrina looked at him,
Simeon nodded,
"Shannon is smart. I'm sure she'll be able to do it." He looked at Shannon.
Shannon gathered up her courage.
"I will run the company and make it even bigger. I won't let you down father."
Simeon nodded and hugged them both,
"I'm blessed to have you two."
"And what are we going to do about Amanda? I'm afraid." Sabrina looked at him.
"Amanda's skills are far too immature. She won't win against Shannon." Simeon encouraged,
"That's right, Amanda can't even match up to me. She'll be a piece of cake." Shannon added.
"See?"
They laughed.

Summer has passed and Shannon was ready for her last year of college.
She spent the rest of the days studying.
She was enrolled in one of the finest and richest colleges in the world.
While Amanda on the other hand was in one of the greatest universities.
Shannon was confident that she would easily beat Amanda.
Coincidentally, both had received the same schedule.
As Shannon went down for dinner, she was wearing casual-designer clothes and a pair of heeled shoes.
Sabrina served breakfast for them.
Simeon called Amanda to come down for breakfast.
Nicholas was also present.
Amanda went down wearing a uniform to join them.
Shannon looked at her and scoffed,
"Sister, it's the first day, you don't need to wear a uniform."
Sabrina on the other hand mocked,
"Shannon, Amanda is just excited since it's her first day." She giggled.
Shannon did the same.
"Why don't you file a complaint about why students should wear uniforms on their first day," Amanda looked at them,
Simeon looked at her.
"Which school is yours then?" He asked arrogantly,
"Corona Austra University," Amanda replied as she took a bite of her sandwich.
The three of them (Simeon, Sabrina, and Shannon) stared at her.
"Miss, you forgot the pin," one of the servants handed her a pin that showed the logo of Corona Austra University.
'How come? Not even the most powerful man can't pay through if they can't pass the entrance exam. Only the smart ones can enter there.' Shannon looked at her with jealousy.
'None of us, even Shannon can pass the entrance exam. How is that possible?' Sabrina gripped her spoon.
After an awkward breakfast, Shannon was ready to go.
She watched Amanda with jealousy as she walked into the car.
