Back in Time To You
Amanda thought she was born this way, to be betrayed, and end up like a fool who doesn't know what it is to live like a powerful person. She only dreamed of living a simple life with Edmund, her fiancée. However, she didn't expect to be betrayed by someone she'd loved. She's lost everything but the precious ring her mother had given her. Knowing she couldn't let them have their way, she swallowed the ring before plunging to her death. Chapter 20
"So, why did you move away?" Chase finally asked,
"My mom forced me to," Amanda answered,
"Why?"
"For my own good?"
"Your joke is not funny at all,"
"*Sigh* My mom got a marriage contract,"
"Marriage? To whom?"
"Some guy from the Wiles family,"
"The Wiles family had a great downfall due to some minor issues. Aren't they saving their butts by marrying your mother?"
"I know,"
"Then-"
"Chase. You know I can't argue with my mother."
"Then what are you gonna do about it?"
"I'll think about it. Bye!"
With that, Amanda hung off.
Just then, Chase remembered something and called her back.
"What now? I'm busy." Amanda answered annoyed,
"Just want you to know. If you ever change numbers or what you have to tell me so we still can keep in touch. Bye!"
Chase hung off immediately.

As Chase carried her to his room, everyone in the house looked shocked.
"I've never seen the master carry a woman before,"
"We don't even see him get close to any woman besides his mother,"
The house was full of whispers.
As Chase placed Amanda on his bed, he saw a tear trickle down her cheek.
He gently wiped it and slept on the couch beside her.
Amanda slowly opened her eyes.
Trying to process what had happened, she felt panicked when she felt her clothes had been changed and to find an unfamiliar room.
"Relax," Chase entered the room carrying a platter of food and placed it on the table.
"Chase," Amanda looked down,
He smiled and sat at the edge of the bed and patted her cheek.
"Eat something first, I've prepared some breakfast."
He took her hand and guided her to the table where he placed the food.
"So, what do you plan to do with the gang leader?" He asked as they ate,
"Just need him to spill out something," Amanda took a sip of coffee.
"I overheard your conversation before that," He put down his fork,
"Are really not gonna show mercy to your own father?"
"He's never my father," Amanda paused,
"He's only an outsider."
Amanda's biological father had passed away before she was born.
He was a soldier.
His name was Alfonso Reeve.
He was an honorary man in his life.
Before leaving, Selene gave him the news that he had always wanted to hear.
