Maximus's POV (3 Day Time Skip)

During the past 3 days I have realized that Eve might not like her magic element. She has started to burn things daily, with my permission of course. But still I should show her the wonders of earth magic! A magic I don't have! Nor do I know of its wonders! But I'm sure it will come to me when I teach her today! Earth magic can raise ground! Or maybe prep fields for seeds? Maybe grow plants? Transmute stuff? Maybe she can fly with it? By moving a platform of dirt from under her?
Maybe it can clean places? Unless it can transmute stuff, earth magic seems kinda sucky. More like dirt magic.
Oh! There was a visitor from the church! He said he was a bishop, who wanted to see if I was truly blessed by god. So I showed him some magic and he instantly snapped into being pious. So I gave him magic. Which may have been a bad idea but I would rather not have a bunch of different people from the church coming to check every other day. So if I give him magic he can show them in my stead! After about 45 minutes he left the manor shooting sparkles from his hands!
I guess he wasn't really talented in magic. He got lightning magic and so did I but I started with stuns that can kill people and he started with an inconsistent phone charger. Maybe Eve does have some hope! If she is fighting people with sparkles for fingers she could sweep the floor with them! Or sweep the floor from them! I'm so funny! It truly seems like perfection is my only fault. But hey, I only need him to show magic! He doesn't need to kill anyone or anything! Plus they will probably invite me formally to the church soon! Then I can start spreading magic! And I will have lots of more fightss-sh*t! and I will have lots of more influence in the church! Yep I thought it right!
Oh! Oh! I also got info on the upcoming war right? There was… it's in… shoot… sh*t. It was… uhh- soon! Very soon! Against… some other place! And they have a really strong warrior named Rodney! And their king is called!.. oh! They have an archer! He apparently is good but I haven't fought a good archer till today! Apparently the archer is the lord of… F*cking father! You're just messing with me right?! How can I not remember these details? The magic? Is it the magic? F*cking swirly tornados! Swirly tornadoes make me crazy! Crazy? Am I crazy!? Why? Swirl tornadoes make me crazy! Cra- stop just use lots of magic!
I look around the training grounds to find a good spot where I can send lightning magic willy-nilly without shocking someone. Physically, if they are shocked mentally it's not my problem. After walking for a second I find a suitable place and I summon lots of lightning magic in my hand and send it out into the air! After around 5 minutes of full power lightning my reserve's finally get to near low levels. But everything seems to slow. Or actually I seem too slow, I feel like I'm super groggy. Like I was moving much faster than everyone else then I suddenly went back to their speed. Kinda like when I get out of the slow-mo fight speed. But much less abrupt, much more smooth.
Does that mean I have a passive slow-mo ability? It's just much weaker than when it gets activated? Is it because I have the node in my head? Is that why the dude with a node in his chest said he felt stronger? The position of the node determines its passive? Or was it just a coincidence? I would like to say I'm right but! Just because I'm ⅓ god doesn't mean I'm always right. That would be stupid otherwise. Wait ⅓ god how stupid is that? How would the gene pool work? Am I an idiot? Was the magic messing with me that much? Is this a side effect of having so much pow-for being so handsome? It must be! It not only gives me self doubt but it also gives me slow-mo ability's.
Wait, is everything slowing down slightly again? I bet not even 5 minutes have passed since I used that magic! Or was my sense of time screwed up for leaving slow-no? I look internally to see my magic. Wait, why is magic filling up so quickly again? Does it refill at an exponential rate? The longer it fills for the more magic? Or is it cubic? Maybe it's just a great linear increase. I need to create a way to measure magic! I shall call them EV's after Eve when I find out what the measurement units should represent.
Oh! Oh! Oh! Finally the guard with fire magic learned how to imbue a sword! But he did it a different way! He just held magic against the blade and it heated up but didn't cool at a normal rate! Also it didn't burn the handle at all! It must work like a normal imbue. Does that mean I'm just special? Wait! I already know I am!
The guard showed off his flaming sword for a while but it still lost its heat after a while. After he hit objects it would lose a lot of heat and cool down a lot. After he fully used up the fire magic the sword was still functional! The magic had no effect on the sword after! The sword was not more malleable when it was imbued, it was stiff. So it doesn't work like normal heat! The guard could also only imbue it that way. He tried my way and failed.
Later I gave him another sword to try and it was of much lower quality. The fire magic left the blade quicker and the blade could not heat up to the same levels as the first blade. I wonder what would happen if he imbued those handcuffs. They already had some magic properties! Would one of the properties get enhanced? Or would they cancel out? I should buy or ask for some of those handcuffs.
