Chapter 5

Calming down from my success, I begin my meditation again.

Unlike the other chakra, the connection I feel to the one at the top of my head is much smaller, as if it isn't really there. Unlike the one before it, the crown chakra doesn't seem it reject the energi I push towards it, instead it seems as if it can't get enough. Happy that progress is much smoother this time, I continue pushing my chi upward.

Slowly but surely the mental high I've been on the whole day is being drained, the energi that let me ignore my physical fatigue, being eaten up by what seems to be an endless hole. When I feel about 2 3rds of my energi have been drained, I suddenly hear a weird cracking noise followed by a lot of weird sensations on my strengthened senses. The smell of salt disappear, and is replaced by an earthy smell, and the air become much more humid.

Distracted by the change, I open my eyes to find myself in an unknown environment. A dense jungle, treetrunks bend forming different and uniquely unnatural shapes. In front of me, a single unbend tree stand tall. It's leafs, unlike any I've seen before. While the trunk is a deep black that seem to absorb all colour, the long shallow leafs seem to be every possible colour at the same time. Entranced be the surreal sight before me, I focus everything on the unique tree before me, as if it has the answer to every question I could ever ask.

Suddenly I feel my head shake violently, before it is ripped in another direction by an unknown force. Out of my trance, I look up at an enormous owl shaped bird, with rich grey feathers, the most eye-catching feature however, is a single big green reptilian eye that make up all of it's facial features. I quickly put up my guard, slowly back away while holding eye contact with the creature, before gathering my courage and ask.

"Is this the spirit world?"

The owl-looking creature keep silent and looks at me for an intense few seconds before answering.

"Yes, I pulled you here to test a theory of mine, you can call me Arvelir." It spoke in a surprisingly soft tone, and continued before I got a chance to ask anything.

"The amount of Chi you posses is inhumane, while you tried to open your chakra with force, which might I add, had it been anyone but you, would have resulted in a painful death. You also let every spirit in half of the spiritworld know about you."

While trying to swallow the implications of it's words, it continues.

"I had you stare into the sinful tree, to confirm if you where truly human, as only they are affected by it's effects. It has some other effects, but they are not anything you need to concern yourself with. Now, might I ask what exactly you were trying to acomplish, by pouring your chi into the spiritworld?"

Ah, so that's were it dissapered to. Now, how should I approach this spirit? It doesn't seem malevolent, but that doesn't mean it will act favorable to me either. I don't remember it from the show, but it seems powerful, should I try and milk it for infomation? Nah I'm not nearly powerful enough to try such a stunt, and I have no clue about it's abilities, maybe it can see through lies. I should just play along for now. With those thoughs I resume the conversation which had come to an awkward pause do to my thinking.

"To be honest Arvelir, I was just trying to learn to bend, and opening my chakra was the only thing I found success in. I don't know if you know my situation, but I'm not exactly in a good position right now, and I need to learn as fast as possible."

Lost in thoughts for about 10 seconds, before the sound of it's voice begin ringing from every direction.

"Alright human child, as an apology for bringing you here I shall impart a small bit of my knowlegde on bending to you, I wish you luck on your journey."

Before I can respond, I feel knowlegde enter my head followed by a headache, and then blacking out.

---

In a small clearing in the middle of a dense unnatrually shaped jungle, a big one-eyed owl could be heard musing to itself.

"To be able to survive looking at the sinful tree for 10 full seconds, how extraordinary, even I the all seeing spirit cannot see what the future hold for that child. Perchance I can finally see something new? Hehehehe..."

That day an eerie laugh rang throughout the spiritworld.
