4th Division, Soul Society

Seireitei stands in the centre of Soul Society, and the fourth division serves as the medical division of the Gotei 13. Even in the evening, the division was bustling due to the emergency situation that caused the wall surrounding Seiretei to be on the ground.

In the absence of the captain, Isane Kotetsu was in charge of the division. She made her way down the hall and knocked on a door.

"Who is it?"

"It's Isane!"

"Oh! Isane . You can come in. It's open."

"Excuse me."

Isane slid open the door and entered the room. To her surprise, she found her 3rd and 4th seats, Akira and Mana, making out in front of her. The scandalous scene caused her face to flush with embarrassment.

"You... You... WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"

Isane covered her eyes, feeling ashamed, but through her fingers, she could see her 5th seat Inori burying her face in Akira's chest.

Akira, stopping the kissing, responded, "Well, currently in the human world, it's called making out, or you can simply say kissing. It gives a lot of pleasure to both participants. Wanna join in?"

"Adam, she's no good," Mana scolded Akira, grabbing his collar.

Akira could understand Mana's thoughts: 'This girl, any normal person would think she's complaining because of me trying to flirt with another girl, but Mana only cares if the girl is worthy of carrying my child.' Looking at her orange/red eyes, he couldn't help but get excited and leaned in for another kiss.

As the lovers started to go at it again, Isane, still covering her eyes, meekly said, "Stop it... You all have to assemble. I have some orders from the captain."

"Okay... Okay, you both heard her. We have some work to do," Akira said to Mana and Inori.

He started taking his clothes off, but then noticed Isane standing near the gate. In a teasing tone, he said, "Well, the three of us are going to get a bath and get changed. If you want to see me naked, I don't mind, but can you close the gate behind you?"

Isane quickly went out and closed the gate. With slightly teary eyes, she shouted, "Do it fast. And come to the main hall."

"HaHa...Ouch" Akira winced as Inori pinched his waist. Looking down at her, he saw the displeased expression on her face. With her red eye, she stared at him, causing him to deflate. "Okay, okay, I will apologize to her later. But first, how about I apologize to the two of you in the bath?"

Seeing Inori shy away, he kissed her and slipped his left arm around her waist, then to her butt, lifting her up. Inori wrapped her arms around his head and her legs around his waist. Feeling left out, Mana jumped on his back and started kissing his nape. Akira placed his other hand on her butt to support her, and with both girls, he walked straight to the bath.

An hour later, in the 4th Division's main hall, all the team members were assembled. Yasochika Iemura, the 6th Seat, and leader of the 1st relief team, was taking attendance.

"Vice-Captain, other than the 3rd, 4th, and 5th seats, all are present," he reported.

"We are here," Akira appeared, carrying Mana in his arms, followed by Inori.

"You're half an hour late. This is an emergency situation. Vice-Captain, you should give him a serious punishment," Yasochika Iemura complained while adjusting his glasses.

"Hmph! We all know why you're complaining," Akira replied.

"What did you say? You bastard!" Yasochika Iemura angrily retorted.

"Ha. We all know that I give monetary support to the Shinigami Women's Association, which is the opposing group to the Shinigami Men's Association," Akira replied.

"You bastard! What kind of man doesn't support the Shinigami Men's Association?" Yasochika questioned angrily.

"Understand one thing: the Shinigami Women's Association is a garden of beautiful women. Many of them I personally like. And once a man likes a woman, he can't win against her. Your Shinigami Men's Association was always a lost cause. Maybe that's why you're still single," Akira's last words broke the camel's back.

"Okay... Stop it. We're in an emergency. The first relief team will go to the first division. The Ryoka are still alive outside the walls. If they invade again, the 8th to 14th relief teams will go out first for rescue efforts for the first 12 hours. As for Akira, Inori, and Mana, the captain has allowed you to act at your own discretion," Isane ordered, instructing them to disperse.

As the Shinigami started dispersing, Akira caught up to Isane.

Akira: "Vice-Captain."

Isane: "What?"

Akira: "I'm sorry for making fun of you before."

Isane: "It's okay. Just don't do it again."

Akira: "Oh, Vice-Captain, now I feel bad because you're cute. How about I make you your favourite porridge after this is all over?"

Isane stuttered, "You... Porridge is not my favourite."

Akira: "Okay... Okay... I have to go patrol now. See you later."

Akira, Inori, and Mana left the 4th Division.

Akira: "You both go and find information related to our new shining star, Su Chen. I owe some guys some favours, and they might provide me with some info on this guy's history."

While they were out searching for information, a captain's meeting was taking place at the 1st Division to discuss Gin Ichimaru's handling of the Ryoka situation. Upon entering the meeting, Gin noticed that all the captains were present except for the Captain of the 13th Division, Jūshirō Ukitake.

Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto: "Is everyone here? Alright then, let's begin with the subject of our meeting, Captain of the 3rd Division, Gin Ichimaru."

Gin Ichimaru: "What's going on? Is it really that serious to gather all the captains here, just for me?"

Gin: "By the way, where's the Captain of the 13th Division? What happened?"

Kaname Tōsen: "He's excused due to injuries."

Gin: "Still not healed, huh? Well, good luck to him."

Zaraki Kenpachi: "Stop wasting time. We're not here for chit-chat. You went out of your jurisdiction to fight the Ryoka, and to make matters worse, they're still alive, leaving only a scratch on your shoulder? Why? With your strength, you could have easily taken down 5 or 6 Ryoka."

Gin: "Oh, really? They're still alive... Hmm."

Zaraki Kenpachi: "Huh?"

Gin: "It's strange. I was sure I took care of them. It seems like my senses are getting dull."

Mayuri Kurotsuchi: "Ku... Ku... Stop playing around. Are you telling me that a captain-level Shinigami couldn't detect if the enemy was alive? Could it be that you deliberately failed and now using carelessness as an excuse?"

Tōshirō Hitsugaya: "Here we go again. Old men bickering."

Gin: "Oh, are you saying I deliberately let them go?"

Mayuri Kurotsuchi: "Exactly."

Zaraki Kenpachi: "Shut up, Kurotsuchi. I was talking first, buzz off. Though if you want me to kill you, keep talking."

Suì-Fēng: "How dull."

Shunsui Kyōraku: "Tsk! Tsk!"

Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto: "Cough! Stop both of you. Zaraki, Kurotsuchi, stand down! Now, let's see. Have you been informed why you're summoned? You acted without permission and failed to capture the enemy. That is unusual for a captain. I would like to hear the reason. That's why we have gathered. Now, is there anything more you want to say, Ichimaru?"

Gin: "Nope, nothing to say."

Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto: "What?"

Gin: "I have no excuse. I made a mistake. I won't justify it."

Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto: "Okay. You will be punished for it... However..."

Sōsuke Aizen: "Hold on, Ichimaru..."

Alarm bells ring

With the ringing of the alarm bell, the whole Seiretei was awake.

"Alert! Alert! Intruders in the city. All personnel should report to their stations."

Zaraki Kenpachi: "What? Intruders? Could it be the same ones as before?"

Zaraki ran out of the room, excited for a new fight. Suddenly, a small pink-haired kid jumped on his shoulder.

Yachiru: "Ken-chan!"

Zaraki Kenpachi: "Yachiru!"

Yachiru: "Enemies? Gonna slice them up!"

Zaraki Kenpachi: "Yeah! I don't know why they survived against Ichimaru. I want to try them myself."

Seeing that Zaraki had run away, Yamamoto decided to postpone the meeting and ordered everyone to their defensive positions.

Sōsuke Aizen: "The alarm sure came up at the perfect time."

Gin: "What do you mean? Sorry, I don't understand."

Sōsuke Aizen: "Do you think you can get away with this? It's best not to underestimate me."
