Eren's POV

I enter the bar with Annie, Mikasa, Jean and Armin, looking for Kit. The bar was slightly crowded so it was hard to see them.

We pushed our way around the bar looking for Kit and finally, I saw him at the end of the bar with a girl, probably Javelin.

We made our way to Kit and sat down in front of him.

"So, why did you ask us to come here?" I asked him

He takes off his hat and takes a sip of his beer.

"How much do you know?" asked Kit, "We tracked you down, we saw you with the former President, with Colonel's foster parents. How much do you know?"

"Not enough to explain why you guys killed the Russian President." said Armin

"We didn't kill anyone." replied Kit

"Then who did, cause clearly the Sentinels were the only ones there." said Mikasa

Kit sighed and looked at Javelin.

"Those Sentinels were recruits, they were in the program for only one year." said Kit

"That doesn't prove anything." replied Annie

"Look we were kidnapped and the next thing you know we're here in handcuffs taking the blame for something we didn't do." said Javelin

"Whoever planned this planned it a long time ago." said Kit

"You're saying that someone else is behind this?" asked Jean

"Possibly." replied Kit

"How can we trust you?" I asked

Kit looked at me with a confused look.

"What do you mean?" he asked

"After all this, we can't even tell who's the bad guy and who's the good guy." I replied

Kit looked at Javelin and she just shook her head.

"I don't think we have the evidence to prove our innocence." said Kit

"Then how are we supposed to trust you?" asked Annie

"You don't have to trust us." said Kit, "It's your decision whether or not you're going to do the right thing."

"And what you're doing is right?" asked Armin

"I would think so." replied Kit, "But I don't know."

"Where's Lieutenant Colonel Ghost?" I asked

"I can't tell you that." replied Kit

"Why not?" asked Armin

"If trust was the issue here then yes trust is the problem." replied Kit

"But we are in the right here, Sentinel attacked us, or someone attacked us." said Jean

"And someone framed us, someone is hunting us down." replied Javelin

"What about Recon?" asked Mikasa

"What about her?" asked Javelin

"She's the one that's leading this operation, she's the one that wanted Ghost dead. What if it's her?" asked Mikasa

"This is bigger than her." replied Javelin, "Whoever planned this doesn't just have the power of one regiment but an entire world."

"But who had the information of the NHEO in the first place?" asked Armin

"That's the part where we don't know." said Kit, "We're trying to find out who did it."

"Then what are we supposed to do?" asked Armin

"That's for you to find out. Right now, we're on our own." said Javelin

"But you guys can't do this alone." said Annie

"If the Colonel was able to take down and entire underwater base with my brother, he can do anything." said Kit, "I believe he can."

"But you also need to do this." said Javelin, "No matter what, you guys have to prevent another war from happening."

"War's on the horizon." said Kit

"Ghost has kids, is he still going to fight if war starts?" asked Jean

"Don't you have kids too?" Kit asked me

"Yes." I replied

"Just like his father, he'll do anything to protect his son, Ghost will take on the entire world if it comes to that." replied Kit, "And I'm sure, you'll do the same thing."

"Yea, I probably would." I replied

"Well, I guess that's it for tonight." said Kit, "Until next time."

They got up and left us and we just sat there with so many questions on our heads.

"Did you get everything?" Mikasa asked Armin

He takes out a tape recorder and presses a button.

"Yea, but it wasn't really that informational, it seems like they don't know what's going on either." replied Armin

We left the bar and headed back to the castle and changed back into our combat uniforms.

"Did you guys get anything?" asked Captain Levi

Armin handed him the tape recorder and we entered Historia's chamber.

"We have eyes on them, they're in the hotel 600 meters away from us." said Reiner

"Get a squad and capture them." said Historia

"Wait." stopped Armin

Everyone turned and looked at him.

"I don't think they're the bad guy." said Armin, "I alone trust them, we fought alongside with them and we all know what they've been through. Why would the Colonel want to hide the truth from us, after all the NHEO was his parents mission, to kill them off. Why would he betray the parents who fought to protect him, who died to protect him? Ghost only wants this world to be in peace and do what's right."

I knew Armin was good at speaking and he got me there. Maybe we are in the wrong after all.

"Then keep a close eye on them, have a squad watch every move they make." said Historia

"Your majesty, they're doing something." said Marco

I looked up at the big TV screen and there, Ghost was looking outside the window while putting in bullets into his mag. Phantom was standing besides him looking out the window with her arms crossed. The next window had Marksman, Bomber, Hacker and Juggernaut all holding their weapons, looking at the window. The next window stood Hacker and Javelin all looking out the window with their weapons in their hands.

"They're looking at the camera." said Levi

"What are they doing?" asked Hange

"Warn the men near that position." said Erwin, "But don't tell them it's Ghost team."

That's when the entire screen just turned pitch black.

"Commander I lost sight of them, it's like the computer's not working." said Marco

"Tell, all teams to lock down that position." said Erwin

"They're not going to attack are they?" asked Connie

"Sir we just got word that the rooms are empty." said Moblit

"They left?" asked Mikasa

"But to where?" asked Armin

Kit's POV

12 hours later

"Russia." sighed Javelin

We were back in Mount Yamatau, where we found that abandoned factory. We entered the hospital and we went to the deepest floors, the part we were not able to go to.

"The corpses are still here." whispered Bomber

"What are we even looking for here?" asked Marksman

"Answers, there might be some in here." replied Ghost

I began to look into different rooms and lab rooms but in most of them there was nothing. Not until I came into a room that was bigger than most rooms. It looked like a conference room so I approached the front of the room and noticed something on the wall. I take off my NVGs and took out my flashlight and shined it against the wall. On the wall it looked like one of those sheets for a projector to shine off on during a powerpoint.

I took off the sheet and behind the wall was a symbol I have never seen before.

"Colonel you need to see this." I said through my headset

"On my way." he replied

Javelin entered my room first and looked at the symbol.

"It's not a logo, it looks like some kind of ancient writing." said Javelin

"In a different language..." I whispered

Colonel comes in and checks the symbols.

"I've never seen anything like this." whispered Ghost, "Think this is some Eldian language or just some ancient language."

The others come into the room and Hacker looks at the symbols and takes pictures of it.

"I think this is Marlyean language." said Hacker

"How do you know?" asked Bomber

"Remember when we took over Marley, I remember seeing one of these kind of symbols." replied Hacker

"It's not a language." said Ghost, "It's a symbol for something else."

"I don't know. I don't like seeing this." said Juggernaut

"Keep looking." said Ghost

I was just about to leave until Javelin stops moving when she stood dead in the center of the room. She looked down and started brushing the floor with her foot and she gasped.

"Colonel, come look at this."

I approached her and looked down and I also gasped. I was standing over a NHEO logo dead center of the room.

"This is a NHEO factory." said Marksman

"Do you think NHEO is back?" asked Phantom

"It's a possibility." said Ghost

"I don't know man, I have a bad feeling." said Bomber

"Keep searching." said Ghost

I left the room and continued my way down a hallway. Decomposed bodies laid all over the hallway, bones crunching and snapping as I stepped on them. I came across a room that had a label laboratory I quietly pushed through the two doors and found a room filled with beds mainly used for lab experiments on human. Multiple straps on the bed were snagged off and everything around it was destroyed, computers, utensils, everything.

"What the fuck happened here." I mumbled to myself

I walked around the room until I came to a laptop that was still intact.

'Don't be stupid, it's not going to work.'

I still opened it and like I predicted it was dead so I packed it up and continued searching the room for any intel. That's when there was a box on a table so I opened it up after dusting it off and inside were a bunch of files. I took one out and opened the file to see pictures of people and papers of some personal information but at the bottom of the paper it had a huge red stamp that said failure. I closed the file and put it to the side and opened another one and just like the one before it had the same stamp on. I continued to check every one of them but every single one of them had the same stamp. I picked up all the intel and put them into my bag and left the room.

Outside Javelin was checking the corpses for something.

"Why are you checking the corpses?" I asked her

"To see if they have any kind of ID or something."

"Oh makes sense." I replied

"Find anything?" she asked

"Just some file on test subjects." I replied

She nodded and we head down the hallway again until finally there were two doors to an entrance but there was no sign around the door telling us what room it is.

I enter the room first and scan the room with my flashlight and I check the corner of the room. I couldn't tell what this place was until I noticed another door at the end of the room. I approached the door and slowly opened it, but I wasn't expecting what would be on the other side of the door.

I fall backwards and scream in terror from what I just saw. Javelin runs up to me and picks me, she immediately points her gun at the door.

"What did you see?" asked Javelin

I was breathing hard from the sight of what was on the other side, I just never seen anything like that.

"Kit! What's going on!" yelled Ghost through my headset

"He got scared of something sir, I think it's something important." replied Javelin

"We'll be right there don't move." ordered Ghost

"Kit, what did you see?" asked Javelin, looking at me in the eye.

I kept my eye at the door and responded.

"Death..."

She hugs me and I was able to calm down, finally gaining control of my mind.

"Are you okay?" she asked softly

"Yea, I'm fine thanks." I whispered

She lets go of me but I couldn't tell if she was smiling because her bandana was covering her mouth.

Ghost and the others barged into the room and turned on their flashlights.

"Kit are you okay?" asked Ghost

"Yes sir." I replied

"Is it this door?" asked Phantom

"Yes ma'am." responded Javelin, "Kit said he saw death."

Phantom approached the door and kicks it open and she too stumbled backwards but didn't scream.

"What the fuck is that?" gasped Hacker

Inside the room was a row of skeletons hanging on some wires. We entered the room and there were rows of skeletons all hanging on wires. On their mouths were like one of those gas masks for oxygen used in hospitals.

"What is this place?" whispered Marksman

"Take pictures, we need to figure out what happened here." said Ghost

I dusted off some of the devices that were next to each skeleton but they were all dead.

"Property of NHEO." said Javelin, "Every single one of these devices has a property of NHEO label on them."

"Damn the NHEO." snarled Juggernaut

"Sir, it's getting late, we should leave." said Hacker

"Yea, I don't like staying here." added Bomber

"What's at the end of this room though?" asked Marksman

Ghost pops a flare and tosses all the way to the end of the room. More skeletons started to appear because of the flare nothing else.

"Let's go, clean up anything we left behind, we can't give any information that we were here." said Ghost
