ATLANTIS: President Rourke, Reborn.

A man from 21st century London had died in his apartment, during a peaceful sleep. He felt unaccomplished with his previous life due to an uncaring government, dead-end job, no common social life or family to directly communicate with. He tried to reach out, he saw so much potential for the world he lived in, yet it was only provided to so few. So when he called to the void (That is Discord), his soul was caught by a being of unknown name. Which randomly selected a world and his 'features' to reincarnate into without listening to his ramblings. Now reborn in 1860 as Lyle Tyberius Rourke with a hyper-adaptive and 'self-acting body', he will learn that: - The greater the influence to the world he is in will lead to an increase of his strength, and the more he learns or already has understood topics. 'His body could do the necessary actions to complete it.' Sounding vague but promising, he is thrust into a world that he will do his best to alter for the better.

Prologue: Unfavourable Life.

Within 'The Mayflower Pub' by Rotherhithe St, sits a man named David - slightly rounded face with a crown that is partially balding, well kept but slightly portly characteristics, and a demeanour that says he is anxious but hopeful. Is staring at his phone, waiting paitently for an unknown character to appear by the front of the bar.

A half-emptied glass of 'Cask Cider' on the table, he takes small sips every now and then to not appear too out of place, and an extra drink of 'Draught Hazy Day IPA' is in waiting.

David: 'Let's see if I get both of these drinks all to myself soon.' He internally muses, because the last time he tried to meet up with another person from online, they cancelled, meaning he got to have both drinks.

He has talked with this person online and has hit it off with them for 4 months at this point on Discord. Their profile on social media says nothing about whether they are a man, or a woman; if they're of a specific background or ethnicity; Or if they will even be trustable. Yet, he hopes that it will be someone who he can connect with either way, for he is quite desperate for a friend.

He has been alone due to anxiety and his job, he's a 'People Services Advisor.' A type of technical support role where any company can hire him to study certain topics of interest that would be best within marketable platforms and of certain keywords / trends depending on group types, and to help managers with detailed advice about employee matters. Though, he does it mostly from home. Meaning that there are few who he can say he is close to.

From what we can tell, he's knowledgeable of almost all subjects of the modern world and is good with communication when his nerves don't get the best of him. At this point, he has been waiting for this mystery person for about 35 - 40 minutes or so. He's noticed other tables come in and leave at this point, and he's starting to feel frayed emotions of inferiority and melancholy.

David: 'I wonder if they think I will be good enough? I hope I can at least get along with the guy. . .'

He internally grumbles. It is close to 8:50 PM now, the meeting time of 8:55 PM looming over him. Seeing the nearby TV with a timer on the bottom right of the screen, he counts the minutes by. Until he hears a buzz on his phone. He snaps his vision to the cracked screen, showing a discord message. He starts to have a minor leg shake due to his anxiety, he opens the message.

Message from वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्ः "Hey friend, sorry about being a buzz-kill. I know I promised we would personally meet soon, but I hope you understand that this is not your fault. I am a busy person and I have much to do, my job requires me to do so. How about I treat you to something you'll never forget? Though, thanks for the IPA, it's a good drink to have."

David: 'Wait a minute, how did he know I bought it, it was meant to be a surprise!?' He stares up to the left of him, where he placed the bottle. It has dissapeared from it's location, but has a £10 note placed underneath a coaster instead. He began to scan the room, wondering if this person is making fun of him through a sleight-of-hand. He even checks underneath the table incase if they are hiding below.

He sees no one that could've pranked him except for a barista who appears too no-nonsense to do it. He calls them over by raising his hand. Which then the barista walks over and then responds "Sorry sir, is everything alright with your drinks?" The barista says in a smooth manner, seeing this customer has been here for a while.

David: "Yeah, I'm alright sir. Sorry, but where did the Draught go that I purchased and did you see who placed the £10 Note in its place?"

Barista: "Sorry, but there was only ever a Note placed there, are you sure that wasn't your way of payment before leaving? Because this ain't the American Old West, pal." The Barista smiles towards him in a joking, yet customary manner, as the Barista knows sometimes people forget what they order after one-too-many drinks, they begin taking out a tray and card-reader.

"Do you wish to pay with Cash, Hybrid or Card?" The Barista eyes David curiously, wondering if he will instead order another drink.

David: 'This is freaking me out, but I'll roll with it.' He internally sighs. "Hybrid, please. The note and the rest with Card." He places the £10 note on the tray and takes out his card, placing it on the scanner of the reader. It pings and now David begins walking out of 'The Mayflower Pub.' It is a cool summer afternoon, the sun is still up and while there are less people, it is still crowded.

He pays for a 30 Minute Bus Ride home, then walks the rest to a small, yet homely complex. He sets in his keycard and goes to the second floor. He greets his neighbours, three young adults sharing an apartment to save on costs. 'Sad they have to share like this, the economy is starting to slowly turn downhill due to so many companies doing Shrinkflation and Price Raising for their own and their 'Collectors' and 'Borrowers' interests. Sometimes I wish they actually focused on a self-perpetuating consumer cycle to reduce inflation through a. . .' He begins rambling on about economic ramifications and specific processes on how to increase efficiency upon the required supply chains and systems of shared dissemination to then reduce overall cost on living care and taxes.

He makes a small dinner with the leftover ingredients in the fridge. Making a small ham omelette with potato salad, sided with garlic sauce. With an Apple and Raspberry Cordeal drink using tap water. 'Simple, but filling, just the way I like it.' He happilly begins humming a song he's mish-mashing up from multiple franchises, in tune with the sizzling of the olive oil within the pan.

He sets it upon the table, eating the hearty meal and swigs down the drink in under 20 minutes. "Heh, guess I had the munchies due to the drinking. Welp, gotta go to bed soon for work tomorrow." He checks the clock on the wall while changing into more comfortable clothing, through a glance, it is about 10:24 PM. Now open, he begins using his 3 year old laptop to check on any assignments due in a few weeks and any potential new clients he can join in with. He is close to done now.

He drinks a glass of cold water, does his business and is now in bed. He takes his sleeping medication from his night stand and now tosses and turns for about 25 minutes before going to sleep. Though, this night he will not have any dreams, for his mind has already shut down. As a translucent, amorphous glowing gas begins to slowly rise above David's body at the same time.

David: "Huh, why do I feel lucid? For some reason in this dream, I can see my body in bed. Usually I need to have milk to have lucid dreams. . . Sweet!" He begins to float around the room nonchalantly, testing how realistic this 'dream' is. "Everything looks so realistic, even when dark! Usually if I tried to make something look so real, it would force me to wake up by now due to it using too much brain power." Then, his form stills, he is locked in location. As he feels a presence, too large for life.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्ः "Hello there my friend. It's good to see you again." A being of shifting colours - too many to count, even some that would usually not appear from a human's perspective appears. Contrasting against the dark room. The colours slowly rolling over each other in a hypnotic pattern, showing its calmness and serenity. Appearing more effective and solid than David's soul form.

It spoke in a soothing manner, as if trying to calm a child that is too energetic. David on the other hand. . . "WHAT!? Watcher, is that you!?" He sees him, appearing similar to his pfp of a faceless, colourful humanoid creature. "No, this must be a dream, for I can't feel any sensation or pain. Though at this point if I tried to react like this it would've kicked me out due to the shifting consciousness being riled up due to my emotions, waking me up. Maybe. . ." He begins rambling on again.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् walks over calmly, expecting the fact he would ramble, he has been personally watching this young man's life, who had so much potential - be squandered due to his own anxiety and the inability of the specific government party's development in office over time. Through the development of so many fields within society, basic human greed still lives on (though dying.)

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् could of personally intervened, but that would ruin the point of the agreement between beings like himself. It would remove the need of human's importance and independence. As free will as a trait of species and their continuous development through their technology and consciousness could allow them to reach the same heights as his species has - it may take thousands, millions or even billions of years. It does not matter, they would 'soon' transcend time.

Because of their long life spans, they do not see to the individual, they see to the collective species. Even so, there are always people who have the potential to help humanity reach further; they were simply never given the necessary resources or time to self-developing, thus helping humanity of that universe. If their world could not accept them, how about humanity from another reality could?

One cannot carelessly revive the dead afterall, it could lead to other beings that may be more malicious to interfere with the process. Death is a cycle of renewal, to retrace and redistribute the energy from one point to another, or to be dispersed altogether as 'chance' can dictate greater randomisation / entropy. वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् simply had to contain the energy that would've been David's soul before it would wander endlessly before either dispersing or finding itself 'repurposed.'

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् soon uses its abilities to calm David's wandering soul. David at this point was starting to have enough theories within his consciousness that it was more extreme than a conspiracy theorist, then he suddenly feels a 'wave' from the being. And his thoughts grind to a halt, he now feels at peace. As if everything was meant to be, now he understands he is dead.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "Now that you understand what has happened. How does it feel, being a soul away from a body? I understand if it may be discomforting, everyone who dies suddenly can get weirded out being in an out-of-body experience. Though I notice you seem to be handling it much better than I expected?" They talk comfortingly. As there have been many like David who they helped when they could reach their greatest point in their lives.

David: "It feels strange. . . I feel cold yet I am simultaneously not, I am more aware of my surroundings and feel more free than I ever was, yet I am shackled by myself and my biases - seeing only you now as a 'saving grace'. . . Do you count yourself as a god, or as a person? As you almost seem ethereal." He speaks almost too eloquently, controlling his anxiety thanks to वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्'s presence.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "*Laughs melodically, with many shades of reds and pinks showing itself on its face.* Those are surprising words coming from you, I may have calmed you down too extremely. Well, you are cold because your soul is used to the sensation of your body's nerves exposed to the air. So, your soul thus uses a colder temperature for emulation. If it was sunny, it would more than likely make you feel warm. And don't worry, I see my self as a person - a mentor for those who seek it."

David: "Well, thanks for whatever way you calmed me. I feel better than I have in years. Due to so many issues in this life, I never had the help myself or others needed. . . I've read many stories, where one cannot reincarnate in the same world, so they are either dispersed or 'brought' to another world. Does it work similarly here too?" He talks familiarly, as David knows what their character is like.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "*Snaps his fingers* You would be right, sometimes your people have a good understanding of what they cannot see; while I cannot predispose you with why you cannot reincarnate in the same world as it could possibly lead to me breaching 'the agreement' between me and others like me. I can at least help you reach a new life more comfortably." They talk in a way to hint towards the reasonings why they can't disclose it, knowing David would get it.

David: 'An agreement huh. Must be like a set of rules for a collective of 'enlightened' species. Almost like the EU and what their ideals once where for civilized people.' He internally muses "If that's so, does it come with a free package or traits I can take with me to this new world? While the knowledge I've gathered in this life would be sufficient. I know I will make mistakes over time.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "I understand, while I can't give you anything specific as that would make me favour you more than the others I've helped. I can let you choose your world and powers from THE WHEELS OF CHOICES!" They point dramatically towards a wheel that has suddenly appeared. Thinking their antics are funny as David is one of the few people who he can be be relaxed and a little corny around. Meanwhile David in the background is snickering at the joke.

David: "*Snickers in a way that sounds like he is snorting, even if he has no nose* You can be so silly sometimes. So let me guess, I spin the wheel, and it teleports me to one of an infinite amount of worlds; both imagined and real?" He muses while showing many shades of oranges, reds and pinks as colours on his soul. Showing he enjoys the time he spends with them.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "*Nods* You'd be correct, and the same process for the powers too. *He gives a thumbs up that then turns to point towards a location*" Soon showing a second wheel that has so many different options that it almost appears as an uncountable colour wheel instead, 'almost' being a keyword, as the 'World Wheel' has no colour at all, showing the infinite options seen throughout reality as it is.

David: "Whew, go on then! It's time to turn the wheels!" He shouts excitedly. Now seeing the wheel turning at a speed that if it existed in reality. Would more than likely produce enough friction and heat to then light up to a white glow. Soon, it begins to slow down. And while David cannot read the examples, वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् can, their body turning yellow in colour due to surprise.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "Well damn, guess you got 'ATLANTIS: The lost empire' as your world! And your power. . . It's the 'Hyper-Adaptive Body' Meaning that your deepest desires would turn your body into a better version of itself when the influence you have on the world becomes greater and could further 'automate' itself - either positively or negatively. Though my guess is you'd probably choose the former." He jokes in a way that shows their camraderie.

David: "*Looks suspiciously at the 'Power Wheel'* That sounds too much like what I wanted for my powers, are you sure you didn't favour me? Because I will do my best for this world then if you did give me such an advantage. *Grins in a conspiratory manner*" Unsurprisingly, वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् begins whistling and is trying to act innocently as a joke. Then begins bestowing the powers upon David.

वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स्: "I know you won't waste your chance, Davie. Just make sure not to push yourself. While power and influence works well with you and your powers. Understand you are only one man." They say pleadingly, knowing that David sometimes pushes himself too hard. Though more than likely, his words would not be taken seriously and they would stubbornly work at the world anyway. David just morphs his soul in a way that looks like a shrug.

David: "Well, I don't want to take any more of your time, Watcher. Just hope you don't go through too much stress either. My guess is I'm not the only one who will be going through this process, eh?" वाचर् आफ़् वर्ल्ड्स् sighs and nods in response. As while they are timeless, they can still be tired down due to work. They hug each other good bye and David soon disappears. Both hoping to see each other later.
