Three Days Later

After the events of the war of heroes and the surrender of Captain America, the registration law took more power and most of the heroes began to be part of the new rules applied by the law.

Things seemed to be starting to take a good turn, what most people were unaware of was that this was just the calm before the storm.

In a government prison, in a cell was a calm and exhausted Captain America.

He was in a separate sector from the other prisoners, to prevent any kind of problem from occurring.

He was the only one of the heroes here, because he decided to take all the blame, which allowed the other anti-registration heroes to be released, of course, they still had to comply with the registration law, but they had no other choice.

Also, things were easy for them due to the support of Tony Stark, the current leader of the SHIELD.

Although Stark also wanted to free Captain, but the government needed someone to blame.

Captain America knew that, that's why he didn't refuse to be, after all he felt guilty for everything that happened.

The only thing he did in this place was talk occasionally with the guard, exercise and read the occasional book they gave him to kill time.

He felt a bit strange, since he never really expected to end up in this kind of situation.

At that moment he was deep in thought, he hears footsteps.

This place is so quiet that it seemed like those footsteps made a lot of noise.

Captain thought that it is the guard of this sector that he had befriended these three days that he has been in this prison.

Since calculating, he knows it's time for him to inspect this place.

"Oh good morning Dean, doing your job on time as always, huh" Captain America said as he heard footsteps closer to his cell.

"Oh, it seems that you have me confused with the guard of this place" a voice commented that seemed familiar to the captain, but he was sure it was not Dean's voice.

Captain America raises his head quickly in alert but when he sees who it is that had spoken, he is surprised, after all he has only seen him personally only twice.

The people in front of him are two, a young man and a girl.

And he knows who they are.

Alex Wayne and his daughter.

"What are you doing here, what happened to the guard?" Captain America asked after calming down.

"You don't have to worry, the guard is only sleeping right now, after all I don't want him to interrupt our conversation" Alex answered calmly.

"What do you want to talk about with me?" Captain America asked a little curious.

"Of what you plan to do from now on" Alex answered.

Remaining silent for a few seconds, Captain says:

"What can I do in my situation? All I have to do is pay for my mistakes, and wait for my trial"

"You'll die" Alex said to him flatly.

Captain is surprised to hear his words without being able to believe him.

Alex nonchalantly tells him about Sharon Carter's situation.

Hearing that, Capitan grits his teeth in anger and only one name comes out of his mouth.

"Red Skull!"

Alex looks at him and without waiting for him to process the whole thing, he says:

"That's not the only thing to worry about, but you also have to worry about the Skrulls, they will cause a lot of trouble in the future"

"What do you mean?" Captain asked anxiously.

"Did you think those guys would give up, even after failing several times? Then let me tell you, you underestimated them"

"They are already here, they have even transformed into an acquaintance of yours" Alex answered.

"Who?" Captain asked.

"Henry Pym" Alex answered.

"You... how do you know that?" Captain asked.

"In our group, there is a Mutant who has the ability to see the future" Alex answered without giving any further explanation.

Est doesn't say anything, just stays silent as she listens to their conversation.

And that's why Alex isn't afraid to speak things he naturally shouldn't know, since Est would never question him.

"That explains a lot of your actions" Captain said after a few seconds of silence.

After all, Captain America found it strange that this man would watch the heroes' movements and how he kept the people in the Connecticut incident from dying.

"So after knowing this, what are you going to do?" Alex asked.

Captain thinks about it for a few seconds, and clenches his fists.

If what Alex said was true then he has to be prepared, as the Earth will go through a lot of trouble.

"I want to go through the trial, but I want you to do me a favor" Captain said as he looked at Alex.

"What favor?" Alex asked.

"Help me to survive" Captain answered with a look full of determination.

"Okay" Alex said as he smiled and threw a syringe filled with a clear liquid at him.

"That is?" Captain asked.

"This is a serum that will protect you from any poison or disease, the only thing you have to worry about is being beaten to death"

"Although it will protect you this time, I don't know what Red Skull could do in the future, besides, my free time in your universe is about to end, so the most I can do is give you that" Alex answered calmly.

"Thank you" was what the captain said as he injected himself with the serum without hesitation.

"Well, then it's time for me to go or I'll draw too much attention" Alex said after seeing Captain's actions and started to leave.

"Alex, in your universe, what is our relationship?" Captain asked as he watched him go.

"You are one of my greatest friends" Alex answered without stopping to leave.

Captain just kept silent and didn't say anything else when he saw Alex leave.
