What has been reborn?

"Aldous, hey!" my mom calling me.

"Would you please stop looking out of nowhere and help me out for supper?",

"Yes mom". I was flabbergasted by seeing such a crowd not far from the ziggurat that we are staying for the night. I wish to know what they are doing right there.

"Mom, can we go the the Great Fountain after we eat?",

"No, we cannot. Me and your father will have to deliver these goods as soon as possible so that by tomorrow, we can go home and take rest. Stay here and watch Alni while we are out". I groaned. Exactly, I am really curios. It's always been like this. Yeah, I know that I am already sixteen but still it doesn't mean that I would only have such objectivity to define my own life. It is not disobeying, rather freewill. Seek out and explore, never have been on these things. My life is rather living in simplicity. Being with mom, dad, and Alni is the only thing that keeps me from having that mindset. Alni is a healthy, grown-up kid but apart from growing right, she cannot speak due to the fact that she is deaf. As her older brother, I really need to hold her hand and lead her to the path of struggles. It is rather my duty to accompany her especially she's apart from normal. I cannot blame Theo (God) for her condition but I rather look into Alni as a gift given from him to us. I really love my younger sister and I will do everything to protect her and guide her throughout the years.

In a distant, the voices of the crowd echoed through the windows. It caught my attention. As mom closed the door, I immediately ran back towards the window. I saw the Great Statue of the Son of King Minos, the Minotaur, descending from the castle gates. Upon the Great Fountain, The great king stood and a great applause was heard after then. It was the summoning, they call it the great day of reborn. King Minos' son, the half-human, half-tauren, the great Minotaur has been reborn. Point-locked , the people packed up their bags, fetched their offerings, and set out on a journey to the Oasis. Oasis is the place where Daedalus' Labyrinth has been staged. Following the death of Daedalus and his Icarus, King Minos hired some fellow Mages from the Magic Academy to protect the Labyrinth on anyone attempting to pursue Minotaur's abode. He respected Daedalus so much and did not even planned to break inside the Labyrinth he created but only one thing's for sure, the twilight orb has emerged out of the Labyrinth, signifying that Minotaur has been reborn again, with a purpose. They all say that it is the sacred call. Nevertheless, I lay on Alni's side, patting her head. Thinking that nothing is more important in this world but only me and my family. They say it is all grand and pure, but for me it was not. Alni moved,

"Everything will be fine", I whispered on Alni's ear.
