First Step Toward Greatness

Alexander held the M1 Garand and entered a stance. Immediately, a series of knowledge about how to shoot a rifle and other related information appeared on Alexander's head. Even though it felt weird to Alexander, but the muscle memory that already instilled made him relieved.

"Hmmm, a standard stance," Phillip commented as he snorted while Peggy just smiled when she saw it.

Alexander ignored Phillip comment as he was focused right now. After adjusted himself, Alexander immediately shot all the 8 round in the M1 Garand uninterrupted. After 10 seconds since the sound of empty magazine ringed, all the spectator awake from their shock.

Even though the metal target was 100 m away, but they can saw a giant hole in the bullseye position. Alexander approached Phillip and handed the rifle. Phillip accepted it while he tries to hide his shock.

"Well, a good aim is not enough to make you into a good soldier. You need still your body trained as it was too lousy right now! The same as Soldier Steve!" Phillip said while he coughed.

"Is that mean I can stay, Colonel Phillip ?" Alexander asked while smiled.

"You better train your body well, Soldier Hartman and back to your line!" Phillip then walked away from Alexander to inspect other soldiers.

Peggy approached Alexander and pat his shoulder.

"How did you do that ?" Peggy asked as she was curious, how can someone like Alexander, who was a civilian before can have a good aim like that. She sure even among all the soldier in this camp, only Colonel Phillip, with his rich experience, can match Alexander.

"You can count it as my instinct, Agent Carter," Alexander replied while smiled.

Peggy snorted as she didn't believe it. Then she walked away as other soldiers required to be inspected by her too.

After 5 minutes, Colonel Phillip and Peggy finished inspected the soldier.

"Strategic Scientific Reserve is an allied effort made up the best mind in the free world. Our goal is to create the best army in the world, but every army started with one man. In the next one week of various test and training, we would choose one man to be the first and a new breed of Super Soldier! And hey, we will personally escort Adolf Hitler to the Gates of Hell!" Phillip said in front of all of the soldiers.

Immediately all the soldier burst out in exclamation as this is unexpected. Alexander just smiled as he already knew the whole plot of Marvel, so he didn't get surprised.

"Now we will start the training. Agent Carter will personally supervise it." Phillip then stepped into his jeep and drove away.

"What are you all looked at? Now follow Sergeant James and get your training gear." Peggy said.

Steve walked to Alexander position and patted his shoulder.

"Hey Alex, are you better already? And since when you had that Godly aim ?" Steve asked excitedly.

"I'm fine. You can assume it was my talent. C'mon, Sergeant James already waited for us." Alexander shrugged as he walked away.

After got the training gear, the first training was crawled in the mud while carrying a rifle under barbed wire. Alexander finally knew why he fainted before. It was because of this body just too weak! Even though this body stature is the same as other ordinary soldiers, but the body condition was just the same as Steve.

Luckily Alexander remembers his cheat, so he tried to use it on the fittest and powerful soldier in his group, Gilmore Hodge. Alexander has experimented with his cheat while crawled training, and he found the range of the cheat was as far as his eyes can see.

Alexander focused his eyes on Hodge and immediately, a bunch of cards popped out from him.

As expected from a bully character, there is none of his skill that exceeds Beginner. But Alexander just needs Hodge physical stats, not his ability. So he immediately used his mind and plundered all of the Hodge superior physical stats.

Alexander immediately felt his whole body hit by immense pain. He tried to hold the pain and asked an excuse to go to the toilet from Sergeant James. He ran with all his might as the pain started to worsen every second.

Alexander entered the toilet and immediately locked it. He can't bear the pain anymore as he screamed on top of his lung as the pain is just too intense for him. Luckily there was no one nearby as all of them is training right now, so no one heard Alexander scream.

After 5 minutes, the pain finally subsided. Alexander whole clothes already drenched in his sweat, but he didn't care as a wonderful feeling struck his entire body. He can feel his entire body is now filled with Strength, but he knew it was just an illusion as he was weak before.

Alexander grips his fist excitedly as this was the first step toward greatness. He didn't expect his cheat can even steal another person physical stats, which mean he only needs someone who stronger than his body stats to get stronger.

If before Alexander still has that feel of terror when he first arrived in this Universe, but now he feels very excited as he looks forward to the future. There are still more than 70 years until Thanos came to Earth, he still had plenty of time to prepare for it.

Thanos? Alexander looks forward when they finally meet at that time.
