Erskine Death

Alexander held Peggy hand before she got in the Taxi. Initially, after the dinner was over, he wanted to escort Peggy into her home. But she refused and told him that their relationship wasn't that far yet.

Under helplessness, Alexander could only stop a taxi for her. They would meet again tomorrow as he must go to the frontline. As Peggy was his superior, she was the one who directly managed him under Colonel Phillips order.

After the taxi went far away, Alexander went back into his hotel room. After he was there, he opened a portal that leads into his bedroom in Hartman Mansion. After a while, he was immediately stepped into the portal.

Unbeknown to Alexander, someone was always following him when he was in the restaurant. Only after he and Peggy get out of the restaurant, the follower went away.

Alexander arrived at his bedroom, he took off his clothes and left only his short. After washed his face, he wanted to check Helen. But then he thought she must sleep already, so he dropped himself into the bed.

The Magic training and the battle with the wolf already made Alexander body tired. So when his head touched the pillow, he immediately fell into a deep sleep.

<The Next Day>

Alexander suddenly awakened by a woman scream. He confusedly looked around and found Helen on the floor.

"Good morning, Helen. Why were you on the floor ?" Alexander said as he stretched his body and yawned.

"Brother!!! Why were you didn't wear your clothes? Moreover, moreover..." Helen said as her face already completely red. Her eyes stared at the big bulge on her brother lower body.

Alexander confused as sleep with only a short was his habit, so why Helen perplexed? Then his newly enhanced brain showed its might, this wasn't his original universe.

Moreover, Helen red face and vision could already explain everything. Alexander quickly grabbed the blanket to cover his morning wood.

"Ehmmm, this was a regular occurrence for a normal man." Alexander said shamelessly.

Helen immediately got up from the floor and walked toward the door.

"The breakfast was ready." Then Helen quickly left the bedroom for fear her brother saw her face right now.

Alexander chuckled, as Helen reaction was cute. Then he got up from the bed and walked into the bathroom.

After 30 minutes, Alexander got out from his bedroom wearing his Military uniform. Today was the day when he officially stepped into the battlefield. He quickly made his way into the dining room.

There was only Helen in the dining room. She didn't start eating as she was waiting for him. Alexander sat on the main seat while Helen sat beside him. They began to eat their breakfast silently.

After finished their breakfast, Alexander and Helen made their way into the mansion main gate.

"Are you really must leave, brother ?" Helen asked tremblingly as she hugged Alexander.

"Yes, this was my duty and destiny. Don't worry, I wouldn't let myself died. Didn't you see yourself your brother skill yesterday? Even 13 wolf at once was not my match." Alexander said as he kissed Helen head.

"Yes, but your opponent this time would use a firearm. Not just one either, there would be many of them." Helen said worriedly as she tightened the hug.

"Not to brag, but your brother could take 30 armed men at once if I use a tactic. Yesterday I was hurt because of my carelessness." Alexander said confidently.

"Then what if you were careless just for once again ?"

"I wouldn't, just one mistake already a lesson for me. Please trust your brother, Helen." Finally, Helen released the hug after Alexander convinced her.

"And I would still visit you occasionally with the portal if I had time." Alexander then patted Helen's head.

Helen hesitated for a moment before she tiptoed and kissed Alexander cheek. She immediately blushed and said, "Remember your promise, brother." Then she quickly ran back to the mansion.

Alexander rubbed his left cheek, where his sister kissed him. Helen sure very attached to his brother, huh?

Alexander then made his way to a deserted place beside the mansion and opened a portal to his hotel room. He checked out the surrounding before he opened the portal with his superior sense. Only when he confirmed there was no one in the surrounding he then opened it.

Alexander made his way to the SSR building where Steve transformed yesterday. Just when he wanted to enter the building, he welcomed by a messy sight. Only in his view alone, six people armed with a rifle were guarding the entrance.

Alexander immediately knew that Erskine assassination must be successful. A little bit of guilty conscience sprouted inside his heart before it suppressed by him.

Alexander took a deep breath and walked to the entrance.

"Hey buddy, what's going on inside ?" Alexander asked one of the men while he showed them his military ID.

"Oh, it was you, Private Hartman. I didn't really know what's going on, but I heard one of the scientists inside had been assassinated." One of the men recognized Alexander from yesterday.

"Could I enter? I had an appointment with Agent Carter." Alexander said.

"Sure, but we need to check you first. Sorry, but our superior had ordered to check every person that entered." The men said seriously.

"Go ahead." Then 2 of the men checked Alexander body by every inch. After one minute, Alexander finally entered the building. If outside of already chaotic enough, then the inside was even messier.

Various bloodstain dirtying the floor, and it still looked fresh. According to his judgment, Alexander guessed the German Spy must start his action 2 hours ago.

After asking where Peggy was from one of the personnel, Alexander headed into the room where he viewed Steve transformation yesterday. Inside the room, ten people wore the Military Officer uniform argued with a loud voice. Peggy and Colonel Phillip were one of them.

Alexander arrival noticed by all the people, but they ignored him and keep their argue. Peggy quickly approached Alexander and brought him into one of the seats.

"What was going on? I saw a bloodstain in the hallways, is there a battle just now ?" Alexander asked while pretended to look anxious.

Peggy inhaled a deep breath and then said, "Dr. Erskine was assassinated by a German Spy 2 hour ago when he entered the building. The assassin was shot to the dead as we couldn't capture him. To think you were saving Dr. Erskine yesterday, and yet he still died.

Along with Dr. Erskine, four more people died while trying to protect him."

"Where is Steve? I think he must be pretty shaken up by Dr. Erskine sudden death." Alexander asked.

"Steve,.... He was taken away by a Senator yesterday, so he still didn't know Dr. Erskine death news yet." Peggy answered as she sighed.

"Don't worry. Maybe it was Dr. Erskine fate." Alexander said as he gently stroke Peggy back.
