A Thousand Worlds

A not so average life ends, and a second one begins. A chance to redeem? Nahhhhhh, a chance to live out dreams would be a more apt description! But as with all, a simple man living out his dreams isn't quite the best of the best, nor the most of entertaining. A chat group (a certainly peculiar one) has been thrown into the mix as well. ==== Find extra chapters at: p@treon.com/stoned_face

Tokyo, Japan,

Aichi Academy,

Samuel POV,

Samuel folded his arms looking at the 'male' students that had simply frozen at his outburst. "Yo paisen, don't be kink shamin' now." Nomura laughed at his own joke... only to the other three there to deadpan at him. "What? It was funny y'know." He shrugged averting his gaze, these people had no sense of humour.

"You heard me. Imagine lowering your head to a bunch of girls just cause they have weapons. Don't you got any pride as men? Look at the lot running rampant in this nation! They don't even let the law stop them and you're bowing your heads to school regulations of all things? Disappointments, all of you, you put a stain on the reputation of any and all delinquents out there! If you were men, you'd go down like men rather than submit! It's even more shameful that you lot bow your heads just because of force!"

One moment passed,

Several more passed,

"Oh shit...." Samuel looked down, there was no way to salvage this was there? Rin was glaring holes into his side, the masked eye glowing as she placed her hand on the hilt of her katana.

"Damn man." Nomura rubbed his chin looking down, he knew full well these types of guys also existed. There were those like him that mind their own business and ones like Samuel, who actually somehow managed to get genuinely compassionate when others do stupid shit.

"How disappointing." Tsukuyo mumbled averting her gaze, she wanted to reprimand him for doing something so stupid.

Though... maybe it was pride, Samuel simply pointed a middle finger at everyone gathered walking away without saying another word, not knowing just how much effect his words would have considering each single one of them was like an arrow to the pride of a 'man', at the same time, his latent charisma also played a major part in what was about to happen.

"I'll have to stop you right there, this is school reg-"

Nomura held back Rin who was about to chase after Samuel, shaking his head as he did, "Even if you attack him, you stand no chance." This time he was unusually serious, the strange familiarity of Samuel's name had clicked just then.

Usually calm and easygoing but with outbursts.

A certain someone had mentioned a person like this some time ago.

At this moment, Samuel sat in his chair twirling around the pen in his hand while slightly humming, studying? Nahhh, he had a witch to do the job for him. Why waste time he could use for more productive things? Said productive things were twirling around a pen as he messed around with the group chat.

Of course the blind girl beside him had no real idea about what he was doing, after all, even if her hearing was amazing it couldn't exactly tell which direction his gaze was set in. As for the teacher? Well each different subject teacher had tried to teach him a 'lesson' at least once only for him to answer perfectly through the witch (Who was actually paying attention) until they just had to give up their efforts.

'Are you going to become a worthless person now?'

Samuel ignored the looks of contempt from the female students considering that was about the only type of look they did give him. 'Wanna try throwing a copy across the worlds? It's an easy way to get members.... That is of course, if you do want them.' Echidna added with a small smile, shifting in her seat. Observing the crossing over from Samuel's perspective had helped her add to her own knowledge of spatial dislocation... or teleportation, if you would. (A/N: Subaru got pulled from the world.)

Samuel's eyes slightly widened for a moment, he may or may not have underestimated the prowess of the Witch of Greed when it came to magic related things.

'Hm hm.'

Apparently, the witch was quite proud of herself.

With a simple tap, another copy of the phone appeared in his pocket. The only way invitations could be extended was simply to hand over one of these copies to the intended party. They would be introduced to it's workings automatically. This thing was convenient like that.

'Just place a hand over the device, though do be careful. Who knows what it'll end up with, you might have to remove at a moment's notice considering the person my dear contractor.'

Samuel folded his arms, furrowing his brows in thought, in theory, the reason he had been yeeted to Re: Zero a short time after obtaining it was to potentially gain members..... If that was the case then he may have just botched the whole thing.

Deciding that he wanted there to be at least one person in there beside him, Samuel inconspicuously put a hand over his pocket, feeling the phone disappear a second later.

'Now we wait.' Echidna was greatly curious as to where it would end up, they needed to travel worlds a few more times for her to comprehend how it actually worked.... At the same time, this contract may have been the best thing to happen to her ever. His memories had revealed to her the truth of her own existence yet at the same time, opened up an infinite amount of possibilities.

With new worlds, she could incorporate other forms of magic into her own system (Even if it was among the strongest, rewriting reality and all) which she had dubbed the EMS..... short for, Echidna Magic System.... The Witch didn't have the best naming sense.

'I have something interesting for you my dear contractor.' Her giggling made Samuel somewhat wary,.... she wouldn't dare do something stupid right?.... Who was he kidding? She definitely would, he would have her report everything before going to sleep.

"Do you truly think that voicing your opinion in that manner was the wisest of decisions?" Tsukuyo interjected his thoughts, holding her blade up by the scabbard. She didn't want him to get suspended so soon after becoming her friend.

"No.... I think I'm safe though." Samuel rubbed his chin in thought, looking at the ceiling. The class had been made well aware that they wouldn't be getting any peace and silence.

"You two out."

"Wha-"

"You can't ju-"

"Out."

"How disappointing."

"Be positive, we can talk more freely now." Samuel sat down on the floor, folding his legs with a small smile. Certainly expected, he was just checking how far he could push the teacher! He definitely didn't think he could get away with it....Definitely.

"That is one way to look at it." Tsukuyo nodded, observing the spot next to him for a few before arbitrarily deciding to sit down next to him, a hand wrapped around her sword. "So from earlier, how exactly do you think you're safe?"

"Koharu Narukami." Samuel answered by holding out a finger with a small grin, he had done a bit of research about this institute before coming here just in case he had missed something before.

"Hmm, can you explain further?"

"I'd say this seems to be her little playground if anything. Her bodyguard is the headmistress after all, right Yukino?" Samuel smiled, glancing to the side as a woman wearing a black coattail and white gloves with purple hair appeared out of seemingly thin air.

"Headmistress?"

"It appears you aren't exactly a ruffian Mr. Samuel." Yukino stated blankly, her hands behind her back. "Consider this a warning."

With those words, the woman disappeared again.

"What was th-....?!"

Samuel held out his hand in front of her face, grabbing a steel wire with a small smile. "I'm beginning to think you people really don't care about safety." With the amount of tightness with which the wire was now wrapped around his hand, he was certain that a regular person would have their flesh cut through.

Tsukuyo's eyes opened wide as her head shot to the wire, her ears reacting to the vibration of the wires.

"So as I was saying, a revolution will really please someone like that."

"Why did you protect me?" Tsukuyo asked, tilting her head, she knew he wasn't really injured by the wire but at the same time, why?

"What do you mean why? We're friends no?" Samuel chuckled twirling around the wires, maybe it was solitary life, but he really did value the people he called friends.... At the same time, his habit of influencing people using their weak points refused to die off.

"Yes..." Tsukuyo looked down, the tips of her ears however slightly turned red.

At the same time, Samuel's phone buzzed flashing a light

A bit of an expo, in the og plotline, there was supposed to be a member from re zero too, the first time around. Either Regulus or Pandora but I thought it didn't work well at the time and got retconned.

This was supposed to be adding at least two members but for now one is alright according to me.

Does anyone recognise that name?

250 powerstones and you get a chapter.

How'd you like the chapter?

Any suggestions for the story?
