A Thousand Worlds

A not so average life ends, and a second one begins. A chance to redeem? Nahhhhhh, a chance to live out dreams would be a more apt description! But as with all, a simple man living out his dreams isn't quite the best of the best, nor the most of entertaining. A chat group (a certainly peculiar one) has been thrown into the mix as well. ==== Find extra chapters at: p@treon.com/stoned_face

A Strange Encounter

Tokyo, Japan,

Glory Boxing Gym,

??? POV,

"This is..... unbelievable."

"Onee-chan.... do you think I should try him?"

"Are you sure?"

"..."

Two girls, one tanned and one pale, discussed what they were witnessing in a mixture of disbelief and awe. They'd not seen something like this before... or rather, they'd not seen someone this skilled appear out of nothing. Sure the teenager currently in their gym had a unique appearance and was taller than the average japanese person but still.... Wasn't this a little too much?

Theirs was a relatively famous establishment, the "Glory Boxing Gym" and notable boxers had trained here before they went on to greater heights..... Still, the two girls, or rather sisters which was given away by the similarity in appearance were fairly certain that man after man being beaten to the ground was a rather strange sign.

Even after all their publicity, the place itself was rather simple after all. A few lockers for the regulars, an atypical boxing ring with proper gear nearby and some equipment for working out if a person truly did feel like it or wanted to warm up.....

"I think we might be seeing one of those guys that are naturals at this kind of stuff..." The tanned one spoke with a small sigh, those kinds of people were always pretty discouraging to see.

"No, Ayaka, look at him. That's not the body of a person that doesn't work out." The pale, visibly older, one pointed at the fighting teenager's arm, a thoughtful expression on her face. Her inner coach was revving to go, refusing to let such talent go to waste.

"..." Ayaka nodded in agreement, it did seem like a stretch even if he introduced himself as 'nothing special'.... She'd walked in after one of her sessions at the usual place and came in alongside him then watched as he asked if anyone was up for a spar.

"I've gotta say, thank you."

A polite and respectful tone with well hidden mocking added in, that was the way the 'stranger' had been speaking ever since he went up against the first person. Pulling back his arm, he smashed it into his opponent sending his more bulkier opponent crashing into the ring's boundaries.

"I've learnt quite a bit.. Anyone else?" His bright blue eyes surveyed everyone and everything in the gym, a playful smile on his face.

"Try me." The older girl from before raised her hand, rolling up the sleeves of her purple tracksuit with a warm smile on her face, she understood that as the victor, he was the superior fighter among all the men he'd fought and it wasn't exactly a small number.... Yeah, he'd pretty much beat up everyone there at the time.

"May I know the name?" He offered with a bow, retreating to one of the corners soon after.

"Nana Uehara, Nana is alright. I'd prefer sensei though." The older girl chuckled, putting on the boxing gloves that her younger sister had run up with, "I can't say I'll be holding back after what you did."

"You show him, Nana-san!"

The men that had previously been beaten once more gathered around the ring, cheering for the girl that taught at the gym... Even if it was a substitute for her father, her skill and power was undeniable and demanded respect.

"Good luck, Onee-chan."

"Always a good thing to be liked by your peers. Samuel Hayes." Samuel fixed his hair, slicking it to the back with a small grin on his face. Today had been going really nicely, he felt like he'd gotten free of a burden that he'd been carrying for a long time and he, he felt amazing.

'I see you're enjoying yourself.' Echidna mused with a small giggle, now she just wanted an opportunity to tell him that she didn't tamper with his thoughts one bit, as he thought she'd done. She'd only said that because it was the easiest way to make him let go...

The Witch of Greed lamented even the small price she had to pay for his well-being..... Not to say she wasn't jovial. No, she was overjoyed, a feeling even she didn't quite understand.... Of course, that just made Samuel far more interesting..... not like that mattered anymore.

"Hayes?" Nana Uehara narrowed her gaze, one would need to be exceptionally stupid to not recognise that last name, "Then you're...."

"Who knows? I doubt that's something you need to concern yourself about." Samuel smiled with closed eyes, fixing his gloves. Still though, he didn't intend on holding back anymore than usual.

"I guess you're right."

"Ready when you are then."

Nana's lips twitched at his lax smile, did he think she was weak or some shit?

With the ring of a bell, she took a step forward.. though, with the distance she covered it would be more apt to call it a leap and with left foot to the front, Nana shifted her upper body ever so slightly before swinging at his face with her left hand.

"Woah damn." Samuel tilted his head back, dodging the hit, "I'm sure I felt the wind from that." Didn't his world have people hitting a little too hard for normal humans?

"I'm sure you did." Answering mid-movement, Nana shifted her body again and swung her right hand this time, trying to hook him in the jaw only for Samuel to raise his own right hand and block the hit with the back of his hand before smashing his left into her chin... Or at least, trying to do so and ending in failure, Nana swerved back her entire body barely dodging the insanely fast hit that left her wide eyed except she seemed to 'lose' her footing and fall back.

Wind her ass, Nana felt her jaw would break if that hit connected! Still, she didn't have much time to express her displeasure due to what the silver haired teenager did next.

.....Nana felt an arm go across her back and hold her up, "I think women who workout are kinda neat." Samuel flashed a smile, giving her a small thumbs up as he pulled her to her feet, "Though, if you wanted to fall down then that's cool too." He nodded sagely, backing away ever so slightly.

"....Y-You...."

'Women are rather simple creatures.'

Samuel deadpanned at the words of the witch, ignoring the now slightly flustered Nana. Well of course she was flustered, he got a little too close and grabbed her mid-fall, it was the normal reaction, couple with that the half assed compliment and yeah. A whole Romeo and Juliet wasn't going to be happening over every crush ever developed, people were unique like that.

"Haha, anyway, really thank you for the opportunity to test my skills." Samuel bowed politely, retreating to his corner once more. Strangely, he'd deemed it as his camp of sorts in this place. He'd been walking around listlessly after that whole ordeal with his mother and chanced upon this place. Once he started beating some people up, his thoughts all seemed to line up properly so yes, he was definitely coming back here again.

Nana cleared her throat, attempting to get rid of her earlier embarrassment as she tried to calm herself, "Why not join? You can definitely become a world class fighter!" She spurred him with a clenched fist, it really REALLY would be a waste to let go of someone who beat even her in an instant.

"BULLSHIT!!" One of the man cried out in despair, was Nana going to be stolen away?!

Ayaka could only sweatdrop at her older sister's behaviour. She knew she was a bit too easily flustered and desperate for marriage buuut, what the hell?
