A Thousand Worlds

A not so average life ends, and a second one begins. A chance to redeem? Nahhhhhh, a chance to live out dreams would be a more apt description! But as with all, a simple man living out his dreams isn't quite the best of the best, nor the most of entertaining. A chat group (a certainly peculiar one) has been thrown into the mix as well. ==== Find extra chapters at: p@treon.com/stoned_face

Hitting A Wall

Tokyo, Japan,

Glory Boxing Gym,

Samuel POV,

Bumping his fists together as a courtesy, Samuel looked around for affirmation and after he was sure that no one wanted to spar with him anymore, he again looked towards Nana, "I'm grateful for the offer but, my personal circumstances don't allow it." He smiled a bit defeatedly, god knew he wanted to obtain a career doing what he loved but he'd do what was asked of him.

"Y-Yeah, that makes sense." Nana sighed, visibly disappointed but understanding, if he was who she thought he was then it checked out.

"Still, I do want to sign up here." Samuel spoke putting on his own black gloves in place of the boxing ones, his hands were rather unsightly after all. He didn't register the scars as damage though and so, his body didn't get rid of them.

"Sure!" Nana patted his shoulder with a wide grin, she'd at least be able to train him up that way. Looking at the older woman, Samuel nodded in approval, older women were more attractive indeed, "Come along then. We'll get you registered and set up." Nana walked away, motioning for him to follow with her hand.

Samuel turned to the other men for a moment before, "...Heh."

A number of annoyed gazes immediately landed on his person even if they couldn't make much of a move, "I'm always up for a spar." Samuel gave them a thumbs up, a polite smile on his face.

Ayaka, who'd only been silent up till now, felt that his attempt at getting along with people was instead interpreted as ridicule, "You idiots. He's actually being genuine about it." She smacked the head of the person nearest her and scratching the back of her head with a closed eye, "Hayes, don't mind these guys." She spoke in an awkward tone.

She already admitted the newbie was pretty good looking (Being a teenager and all) but the smile she got in return for her actions made even her heart skip a bit.

Not long after he'd left, the doors to the gym were unceremoniously thrown open and a heavily tanned girl skipped in with a massive cheerful smile on her face, "Yo!" She excitedly waved her hand before noticing the strange air in the place and tilting her head in confusion, "Eh, what's up with everyone?" She felt she was missing something.

With long blonde hair tied up in high ponytails and bangs over her forehead, and bright green eyes, she was certainly good looking though, more on the cute side than hot so much so that her thicker frame made no real impact on lowering her attractiveness. She wore a rather casual outfit, blue jeans and a loose shirt.

"Yo, Hibiki." Ayaka did a small salute, running up to her with a slightly excited light in her eyes. Anyone would be able to see they were friends and they'd be right, the two had been friends since day one of high school and hung out a lot, "So, get this. A total ikemen walked in today and beat up everyone!" Ayaka waved her arms around animatedly, excited to discuss the topic with the blonde girl.

"Serious?" Hibiki looked at her friend with slightly doubtful eyes before putting a hand on her chin, "Can he beat Machio though?" 'Machio' was a trainer at the gym the two visited together and the man, despite his oversized build, was extremely handsome. A complete hot nice guy character so to speak.

"Definitely." Ayaka nodded with certainty, he definitely beat Machio. In looks and body proportions both.

"Ehh, that's kinda unbelievable." Hibiki didn't quite believe her friend, "Anyway, did you know Ake-"

"Oi Sakura, get in the ring with this guy."

Before she could continue, Hibiki was cut off by boxing gloves being thrown her way and barely managed to grab them before they hit her face, "Nana, what if those hit me?!" She whined with closed eyes, still however, the blonde did obey the older woman and put on the gloves.

"That's not safe, is it?" Ayaka looked slightly worried, would anyone be able to handle a punch from this glutton? Hibiki, or rather, Hibiki Sakura was a 'gal' that liked to eat and subsequently, was somewhat 'fat' compared to her peers but, Ayaka had seen it before. This girl had an insane level of strength.

"We'll see." Nana only folded her arms, smiling widely as she stared at Samuel. Earlier, during their spar, she'd not managed to actually touch him but right after, when she patted his shoulder.

"I know what I felt. This guy is a monster." His pale complexion was completely misleading, it indicated sickness or something but, his frame.... It wasn't just because he'd stopped at that, no it was because after that point the muscles started compacting. It wasn't unheard of, Mr. Unchained had a similar kind of body too.

"Yo Samuel! Don't dodge, take the hit!" Nana shouted, looking up at the ring as she tapped her fingers against her shoulder in excitement, this was getting to be real good. She'd be remembering this day for a while to come.

"If you say so." Samuel nodded, this time not putting on boxing gloves, apparently it wasn't a definite requirement to wear them and he much preferred his own. At the same time, he wondered why Echidna had gone silent.

'...You flirted with the Ayaka woman.'

Sweat dropping, the silver haired teenager turned to face his new opponent, "Pleasure to meet you, Samuel." He smiled politely, offering a small bow as was custom to the tanned girl looking at him in disbelief.

"....H-Hibiki... I mean, Sakura!" She corrected herself, slapping herself in both cheeks to regain her focus. Ayaka'd been right, this guy was way way hot- *ehem*, yeah he could challenge Machio in the looks department.

"Well then, Sakura." Samuel raised his fists ever so slightly, taking the traditional boxing stance. Right foot to the back, left foot planted to the front diagonally, right hand held closer to the chin and left held outwards. Now, he didn't exactly have any prior practice in this but, observing the people fighting here was more than enough. Fighting them himself just increased his skill by leaps and bounds.

"Alright then, here I go." Hibiki jumped up and down a few times, getting herself in the 'mood' before practically appearing in front of Samuel with her left hand pulled back and balled up.

Samuel felt a slight change in the atmosphere, this girl... She wasn't normal at all.. Reacting, he put his right forearm in the trajectory of her punch.

A veritable boom, akin to a cannon firing, resounded throughout the gym. Once more, the regulars who were pretty much used to Hibiki's monstrous strength at this point found themselves wide eyed at what happened.

"That was... amazing." Samuel praised in genuine surprise, a pleasant smile forming across his face. This girl was actually something.

Yes, he was right. For the layman, her physical capabilities were something out of fiction.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch! I felt like I just hit a wall! OW!!"

Except compared to Samuel, she too paled.

Wincing and slight groaning, Hibiki retracted her smoking fist with closed eyes, rubbing it as she waved it around in an attempt to numb the pain, "What are you even made of?" The pain she felt seemed to kill off her 'awe' at his appearance.

"This is... holy shit."

"Hum, looks like I was right." Nana smiled with eyes closed in content, she was going to make him even more insane than he already was. At the same time, she felt embarrassed remembering the conversation in the office. Was he really interested in an older woman like her?

"Hibiki, you alright?!" Ayaka ran to her friend's side, greatly worried.

Samuel however, only looked at his forearm before turning his gaze to Hibiki, "Can we spar again sometime?"

"Eh?"

'......' Echidna found herself slightly displeased with the change in Samuel.

"Senpai!! What are you doing here of all places?!"

Samuel recognised the overly excited voice.... This time though, it made him feel strange.
