Chapter 50 - Minotaur!

Ace stands up from his seat. He eyed every god before talking.

"because no mortal can lie to a god, so I will say this straight. I didn't fake my level-ups or lie about my previous level."

Royman provides everyone some time to object or agree to Ace's statement.

"He is lying and I can tell that as a God," Hermes objects with a chuckle.

The sole being of Ace makes the existence of Bell Cranel look weak and slow. Because Hermes wants to make Bell a hero that everyone adores he need to make some way to expel this man from Orario.

'Idiot,' Freya thought without saying anything.

"The god Hermes stated that you are lying. Do you have any say to that Mr. Ace?" Royman questioned.

"What are you saying, idiot merchant! He is clearly saying the truth!" Hestia shouted from the corner.

'Hestia is cross out from the list,' Ace thought.

"What I am saying is I detect lies in his words, that's all," Hermes stands to his words.

"I like you, Hermes you're making it easy for me," Ace said.

"Hmm? What do you mean, is that a threat? Asfi help me I'm scared," Hermes said with a playful voice while trying to hug Asfi.

Asfi Al Andromeda is a member and the captain of the Hermes Familia. She is also one of the most famous item makers in Orario, known as Perseus.

"I also sense lies on his words, I demand to expel him from Orario," Some unknown god that is not shown in the canon said.

A cannon fodder that is unimportant because his only power is turning his hands into a dick, which pretty much sums up why no female wants to join his familia.

"Remind me your name again sir?" Royman questioned.

"I'm Dick and you better get your hard-ass remember it," The nameless god proclaims himself as Dick.

"Hermes and Dick said that the accused was lying while Hestia proclaimed that he is honest. Raise your hand if you detect any lies from the accused."

Less than half of the gods raise their hands as they were getting amused by this situation, most of them are not named in the canon.

'Wow there are so many targets but I don't think their powers will help me that much...Keep going Hermes you're doing great,' Ace thought.

"Now Raise your hands if you didn't detect any lies from him," Royman said.

More than enough raise their hands and prove that Ace is not really lying. Different types of questions were asked and the case lasts for 2 hours.

After the meeting Ace was proven innocent and didn't alter his level-ups, making him the most talented mortal in Orario. This will have an impact on the will of adventurers, whether they are negative or positive is up to their personality.

Back at the pharmacy, Ace lists names in his mind, "Hermes, Dian Cecht, Amaterasu, Inukami, of course, Ikelos, and the god of war Ares."

Those are the only Gods that Ace wants to kill except Dian Cecht, that god's familia help during the Orario's dark times. Slightly beating their familia was enough.

Ares keeps attacking Orario it may seem funny in anime but what about those other kingdoms where there are no high-level adventurers. It's a massacre and many lives were lost because of him.

'Hermes takes the top place...I think just one god is enough for me to get the necessary energy to revive Aika,' Ace thought.

Tomorrow Morning.

Inside the dungeon.

Multiple adventurers escape with their life as an unexpected Minotaur made its way to the upper floors, clearly, someone has been training this minotaur because it holds a forge great sword.

Bell is adventuring with the pallum girl, Lili, when they've noticed something weird like someone is watching them and there are too few adventurers around.

Loud footsteps echoed throughout the area as a huge minotaur twice of Bell's size show up in front of them.

"Why is there a minotaur on the ninth floor? Bell-sama, Let's run!" Lili shouted. Panic can clearly be heard in her voice.

Bell is shaking and cannot move out of fear.

"Bell-sama, Bell-sama!" Lili tried to shake him out of it as the Minotaur keeps getting nearer to them.

"So you will just watch them and help when needed?" Ottar questioned Ace.

"Well you've trained that minotaur, I will feel bad to kill it before it does its purpose," Ace said as he bit a jerky.

"Suit yourself," Ottar said as he left the scene.

'Now let see if Ais and Loki familia will still come to rescue him.' Ace knew that this will still happen which is why he is here. Because of his existence, there is a chance that the sword princess and Loki familia will not come in rescue to Bell.

Ace doubts Bell will survive this fight without Ais' presence.

The Loki familia split into two groups so they can avoid overpopulating the upper floors. Finn leads the first group consists of Riveria, Ais, Tiona, Tione, and Bete.

While having a conversation while walking in the dungeon they've encounter two adventurers that seems to be running from something.

Tiona raises her hand to get their attention then asked, "Huh? You all right over there?"

"Th-there's a minotaur back there!" The adventurer answered. Knowing that he already safe the adventurer's knees collapse.

"In any case, I'm glad you're all right," Finn said.

"There is a white-haired kid left alone in there, by now he must be..."

The first thing that Ais recall when the adventurer said white-haired kid is Ace so she doesn't hurry up.

"Ace?" Ais questioned.

"N-no if it's Ace they wouldn't need to run," Finn speculated.

"If it is my man then we should be worried about the minotaur," Tiona said while chuckling.

Ais suddenly remember that kid that she was training and run to rescue him. She was friends with him anyway.

"Hey, Ais!" Bete shouted but Ais ignored him.

"Follow her!" Finn commanded as the party dashes towards Ais's direction.

Ais heard the minotaur's bellows but she didn't know which direction to go. This time Lili didn't show up to show her which direction.

But someone shows up.

"Sword Princess..."

Ais turns her attention to the voice and saw Ottar standing while holding a massive sword that was resting on his shoulder.

"King...Ottar."

"I challenged you to a duel," Ottar said.

"Why? why here and now?" Ais questioned.

Ottar wanted to say something but then he saw the Tiona running in their direction.

"Tch," Ottar said as he left quickly.

Ais questioned what was that but still hurried to rescue Bell from the minotaur.

Ace was petting Lili while giving her a lap pillow. He saves her when Bell throws her and told her to run.

"Are you sure Bell-sama will be all right?" Lili questioned. The minotaur hit her head earlier so she is low on blood.

"The only way Bell can be strong is to defeat his fears, he needs to do this supporter-san" Ace said as he continues petting her while using heal effectively calming her down.

Lili nods and knows that the man that she was talking to was a Level 6 adventurer, the most talented one at that.

"But I won't forgive you if something happened to Bell-sama!" Lili said with determination.

"Well I wouldn't want to incur your wrath so I will make sure he is safe," Ace jokes like he was talking to a child. Technically Lili was still a child because she is still 15 years old.

Suddenly Bell got to knock over by the Minotaur. Lili panicked a little bit but the smile of Ace makes her remember his promise.

Bell struggles to get up as he felt some of his bones have been broken.

Ais quickly makes her entrance and gets into the middle of the minotaur and Bell.

Bell rejected Ais's help then said that he can't let Ais Wallenstein save him again.

Ais respected his will so she goes back to her party who followed her.

It seems that Tiona didn't notice Ace so Ace decided to send different types of flowers made of energy towards her direction.

The flowers dance in the air like they were being carried by waves in the ocean.

"Flowers?" The party said at the same time and follow the source of the flowers.

"So this is the famed creation magic," Finn said as he grabs one flower and inspects it. He found out that the flowers may look real they were actually remarkably hard.

Tiona point at herself while mouthing, "Is this mine?"

Ace unconsciously smiled, he carried Lili and laid her on the ground before walking towards the Loki Familia.

Lili who was still awake pouted then followed him.

"Of course It was yours," Ace said while looking straight at Tiona's eye. He can't look at her chest area because he will be disappointed.

While Bell is fighting for his life and to be a great adventurer Ace was flirting with his childhood friend look alike.

Ais seems to be in a bad mood but again she doesn't show it in her face.
