Reminiscing

She still remembered the day around three years ago, when she broke up with Arjun giving a very silly reason that left him heartbroken. Guilt was racking up in Navya's brain after today's encounter because she somehow managed to see the same broken face that haunted her every now and then. She remembered all the gifts that Arjun gave her, not because they were expensive, but because they were made by Arjun expressing his love to Navya. Somehow, Navya was even more disturbed seeing that Arjun was the same guy she left three years ago, heartbroken and too scared to form relationships that would hurt him even more, and yet she had moved on so easily.

As she was contemplating this, Arjun returned with an extra bottle of whiskey tossing it into the backseat of his car. He curtly asked Navya, "You know how to drive, right?" To which Navya responded, "Yes, I do and you can go now." "I already did three years ago.", replied Arjun. Navya felt a pang of guilt in her heart and just entered Varun's car and drove away.

Standing beside his car, Arjun took out a pack of cigarettes and popped one in his mouth, lighting it and taking a deep drag. He fetched the bottle of whiskey and took a swig.
