A humungous disgusting monster. Shit he was not ready for this bro!!!

His heart was racing , his eyes constantly shifted towards the monster and his parents. If anything were to happen to them he would take action immediately even if it costed him.

The lives of the loved ones came first then everything.

The monster probably came here using its flight ability. It appeared to a huge fly ,extremely ugly and repulsive. It also had a garbage stench to it , but surprisingly he hung on while his parents were not looking good . They couldn't bear the scent , they were just holding on.

"I have to finish this quickly " He thought.

He activated his effect [ANGELIC PROWESS] to assess the demon in front of him . The system understood his command, and its stats appeared before him :

Skill's mastery maxed out . Helps the host to command a swarm of flies amounting to 100 . Buffs - +1 in [PHYSICAL POWER] and + 1 in [SPEED] for 2 minutes for the swarm except the host. Cooldown of 4 hours.

Great. Level 5 right off the bat. It didn't have any special skills though maybe he could hang in there , the problem was it had high mana. It could inject mana in its attack and make it powerful.

But the problem was it had been 1 minute, and the demon still wasn't attacking him but seemed to looking at him keenly as if his next move would decide the outcome that would there forth unfold.

His parents had been calling him out , this situation completely dumbfounded them , they didn't know what to do.

Was this creature looking whether he was an ally or a foe? wait he suddenly recalled his effect or what he called a skill [THE SHADOW SENSE]. According to it all the demons would consider him friendly at first glance. He didn't want to let this chance go to waste.

But suddenly as he was going to attack the fly , it went to attack his parents , he quickly activated [THE CURSE OF THE SHADOW] . Suddenly he felt an increase in power. The system increased his physical attack and physical defence by 10 folds.He already tested this out when he was free, so he wasn't shocked by the boosts it gave him.

His physical power and physical defence exceeded that of the alpha fly by 10 and 5 folds respectively.

His body felt smoother to control. But there was no time to waste in thinking miscellaneous things. The fly was faster than him , so it reached his parents faster than he could.

He just dashed through, put all of his power into his fist and just punched in the direction of the fly hoping for the best.

The fly's limbs which each looked sword-like actually managed to bruise his dad' arm. But then before any more damage could be done , his fist reached the fly and it just went through the fly' body and put a big hole. He felt like a big monster at this point. The fly was dead .

The system gave me no time to celebrate though. Instantly a notification sounded in his head.

He just blazed through the levels . He looked at his stats . He reached level 3 and had extra 100 exp. This was so unreal. Why was an absurd ability like this give to him in the first place?. What did he do to deserve this?

He tapped on the plus button to see the details. It said he had gained a massive amount of experience because of a level difference of 4 .

Also there was no way of gaining fixed experience. The system would always analyse every variables into account, even including luck and then give out experience. There were both logical and factors which they couldn't control. There was no fixed price for a life.

His parents blacked out for a second and immediately came out of their reverie. He kneeled down and just hugged them. This situation was hard on them. He gave them a warm hug so they didn't need to feel alone. He was there with them.

Suddenly he remembered the cut on his father's arm. Indeed he was feeling deep pain. He didn't complain but from his face it was clear that it hurt like hell. He helped his dad sit on his bed with his mother beside him.

He took a look at his arm. The cut was indeed deep. He used his effect [ANGELIC BOON] :

The host is able to heal themselves for 50 percent of their total health . The host is also able to heal their allies at bunch for the same percent of health or could revive them under 3 days of death. Cooldown of 8 minutes . Active effect.

A bright array of light came out of his hand when he thought of his so called skill-effect. The scene was indeed angelic. His mother couldn't help but be overwhelmed by this scene. Her son was this talented. Should she be happy about this or worry?

The cut in his father's arm immediately got healed. As expected when healing health it also healed external injury. But what about internal injury? He had to test it out.

He then took a look at his father' hp.

This skill might be useless at the starting stages, but when the hp bar is literally too high, it will heal a ridiculously amount of hp. Not to mention the cooldown of 8 minutes, it was literally an op skill.

"To the god who gave it to me" he thought, "I will not disappoint you."

After doing a dab in his heart. He asked his father if he was all right. He replied he felt fine but he then began questioning how he was able to do this or that . His mother naturally joined in the conversation.

He tried his best to explain everything to them. He just told them he had a special talent and thats it. They knew what special talent was and in these 3 days people with special talents have been praised in the internet and were the recent target of envy.

After today he was pretty sure all those people will be recruited by the government or something.

After explaining not- so-everything to his parents , he stood up and saw outside through the now destroyed wall of his room. Everything, from the walls to the window was shattered.

He looked at the time . It was 9: 20 am . 20 minutes since the catastrophe . He took a look at his stats. The penalty was till there. His accuracy was low but still he managed to pull it off. The effects which came because of the skill was also gone.

He looked outside using his keen senses. Corpses. They were everywhere. Demons and human alike. People were being killed indiscriminately . It looked like a scene directly taken from wars.

He quietly observed. He assessed everyone who died . It seemed like the ones who died belonged to the bottom lists of talents. F, E talents littered the streets . The demons of the invading force were not powerful themselves. It looked like they too were fresh recruits.

Just like the top humans massacred them , the top demons did the same.

No monsters were in his vicinity . That was great. This was not an elite residential area not just in name . It was to Withstand any calamities.

He turned around and saw that his parents were hearing to news channels on their phones. Surprisingly the news channels were not hit . He actually predicted that their broadcasting towers would be hit indiscriminately ." Did these top machos hide their towers underground or something?" He couldn't help but shake his head and think.

He then remembered that he forgot just one thing . The monster's corpse was still lying there where it had been killed. A black mist covered it.
