CHAPTER 22

"Well, it seems 28 members are here including me"

A handsome man was who was about 5'7 in height , and a great build responded in a voice that was neither overbearing or arrogant. It had a tone to it which seemed to passively impose that he was the leader of this group.

The man was named Michael Santos.

"Hey that should be the man in the distance right ?"

A man who seemed to be an archer who had quickly became friends with another man who was also an archer asked him.

"Yeah that should be him , he is heading towards us"

"Hello, Hope I'm not late. If not forgive me for my lateness" Karthikeyan said after approaching the group while wearing a mask.

Michael arrived by his side and soon Karthikeyan confirmed his identity by the ticket that was issued by Michael .

"Alright good " Michael told while smiling " I have given a party request through the system , kindly accept it."

Even though Michael was of average height and looked like a teenager next to Karthikeyan , the opposite was true. Michael was 26 years old, while Karthikeyan was 16 years old.

But Michael didn't seem to mind it and seemed to be quite comfortable under his skin.

"One more member , um... she told me she will be here in a minute."

The dungeon was about to start in 3 minutes and they would have to enter without the girl if she arrives late.

A cold women was seemingly approaching the team. Everyone one of them was looking at her.

If she had arrived a bit early , then they could have briefed a little about the situation before diving in the dungeons. They couldn't possibly give the other people who were diving into the dungeons a head start even though they had nearly 20 days for this 0.7 dungeon.

"I apologise , while coming here I was faced with a little disturbance."

Karthikeyan was now shaking under his boots.

This girl , he knew her and she knew him.

Trying to avoid her eye contact , Karthikeyan went to the far side of the group where she couldn't see him. He also thanked [THE SHADOW SENSE] for hiding his presence from her.

[THE SHADOW SENSE] allowed him to hide his sense from the person he intended to hide from.

It was not stated in the description though. Probably it was something that didn't need to be mentioned?

Probably there were more things he could potentially do that he still didn't know.

"As the dungeon is about to start , I will brief the situation inside the dungeon. Considering our team average strength is level 8 borderline level 9 , we shouldn't have any troubles even though this is the first time for many of you raiding a 0.9 dungeon, no worries under my leadership I will make sure every one of you makes it alive out of the dungeon."

Michael's charisma attracted the people of the group and they felt charmed towards him. Especially the ladies who amounted to almost half of the group at 15 members, well except one...

"Alright its time to go , as we are the same party we will spawn at the same location , no need to panic."

Nodding his head after seeing everyone was ready , he quickly came against an open fence across which there was a circle . His group were going first.

The first session of the easy mode . He quickly went inside before taking huge breath and almost instantaneously vanished out of thin air into particles.

Everyone of them seemed to vanish one by one and when it was Karthikeyan's turn he couldn't help but contemplate at the mysteries and the things the Mother Nature had and could do.

The cold woman who arrived late was about to enter when she couldn't help but think about something strange a moment ago. It seemed that she had lost consciousness for a moment. No, supposedly she became kind of hazy and seemed to not understand what was happening in front of her although for just some seconds.

Probably the constant dungeon hunting she had done until now had taken a toll on her.

Soon the circle was displaying 257 members out of 300.

"Is everyone awake yet?"

A charismatic voice filled the place

"It seems everyone is awake"

Karthikeyan who was listless, was looking here and there to assess his surroundings. It was like an animal which was exposed to a new habitat. Well humans are animals as well.

After he went and stood on the circle , some mysterious force seemed to ask him if he would like to enter the dungeons or not. It didn't seem strange or anything but rather natural.

As soon as he said said yes mentally, his consciousness blanked out and the next thing he knew was that he was laying down on the plains of this dungeon.

As Karthikeyan was thinking about all these things , suddenly coughing at those who were looking around mesmerised in the green scenery , soon Michael got everyone's attention.

"So, as everyone is attentive I will start briefing on what's the plan."

"It seems that many of you are swayed by the scenery in front of you , but I think you all know it's far from that. It is anything but peaceful"

"Well the dungeon we are raiding is a plains dungeon which inhibits almost every type of demons you know and do not know"

"Compared to specialised terrain where demons are powerful and adapted to their environments , things here are different. The monsters although not in their specialised environment , nevertheless still are powerful."

"Considering that plains are fertile , nutrients are abundant and so is the presence of powerful demons."

"Well getting the basic things out of the way , our plan is quite simple. 8 people at front acting as vanguard , 10 people in the middle , including 6 mages and 4 combatants who will protect them in close quarters, and finally 10 people at rearguard with 5 healers and 5 combatants. 2 combatants who are level 10 are displaced at the back as reserves of the vanguard.

In a dire situation , they will come in front and fight with the vanguard."

"We will be either in straight formation or wedge formation depending upon the situation , but mostly the positions will depend on where you are to attack as commanded by either by me or..."

As Michael went on with his explanations , he pointed to a women who stood along side him.

She was about the same height as him. She had blond hair which extended upto her waist. She had a good frame and her face was devoid of imperfections. She was quite beautiful , probably above average in looks. She didn't have a cold demeanour as expected of the girls who had some power on their hands. She looked approachable and amiable.

"Hello everyone my name is Sophia Auclair and the second in command of this raid. I hope we could get along very well."

Seemingly satisfied with the introduction , Sophia let out a satisfied sigh. But Suddenly as she remembered something , her voice again resounded

"Oh and I forgot to tell this but there is no need for formal speech with me. You can talk freely to me, and be at ease ."

She said with a smile on her face that seemed to even melt stoic people who were always stern.
