Chapter 2: The Genesis 2

Doctor! Doctor! My wife. My father went to the doctor's quarters just to call a doctor for my mom who was perfectly fine. After the doctor checked up on my mother, he told my dad everything was fine and that my mom will be discharged the following day. Hah! He let out a sigh of relief as he heard this from the doctor. As he was walking toward th door to the room where my mother was, he abruptly halted his steps as he remembered something important.

Ring ring ring. H-h-hello Sir said Lin Hai, my father's secretary. Lin Hao, tell the butler to prepare the house for tomorrow and you arrange some flowers and some chocolates right now to be delivered to my wife. I need them in five minutes. Relay the message after bringing me the items I sent for. Y- yes sir. As soon as the call ended, my father waited for the flowers at the entrance of the hospital. After some few minutes, the flowers and the chocolate arrived and my father snatched it from his secretary and hurriedly ran into the room where my mother was, before she'll start looking for him and all his plans will be ruined even before it commence...

As he left, Lin Hao shook his head in disbelief and smiled while observing his boss who seldom smiled, very rude and always serious, happily smiling and running for his wife. Well Lin Hao was a stammer. He's of average height. He is 26 year and single of course. He is very hardworking, funny and very fast with his work. Most of all he was a handsome gentleman. As my father entered the room, my mother was not there. The..... Heck! where did she go again. I'm here. Why are you searching for me and not your daughter. Ooooh..... yeah. I nearly forgot you gave birth and we're still at the hospital.

As I was seated, I watched my father with a frown. He also watched me and scratched his head. Well it was my tenth time watching this video. My father will always watch me will a pitiful look and open his palms not knowing what to say because it was quite cruel forgetting your daughter who was just few hours old. I did not do any sign and just turned to continue watching as I was doing sometime ago. Well, I asked my father, dad, who made this video and the answer was always the same. Nyx, I don't know. It was just delivered as a mail. So who do you suspect will do that? I..... Shhhhhhhh my grandmother, my grandfather and all the family except for my dad and I said it together. Just because my father was going to surprise my mom with the flower and feed her with chocolate. I don't know why that's their favourite part because for me it was very disgusting. With the words and the actions they did. When my mother came, my dad asked her, where were you my dear wife. The only mineral that cannot be mined. "Really" my mother said with her hands folded in front of her. You never praise me unless you want something from me. Now what do you want from me in this hospital at this time of the night. I know you and I know for sure that I will be discharged some few hours from now. Urgh! he growled in frustration. "Well, my dear, today is a great day, a great day it is today. Today is a special day as well because I just got my first daughter from my first wife." What! exclaimed my mother. What do you mean by " first wife"? Do you intend to marry someone else after me? "Oh no no no. A big no. You'll be my one and only wife which I will spend the rest of my life with till eternity, that is if there is something like that." You're lucky, said my mother. Well, let me proceed, honey please close your eyes for me. And as said, my mother complied and closed her eyes. She had no idea of what was going to happen next. Some few seconds later my father took her hands and landed it on his waist and went close to her with the chocolate in his mouth. He kissed my mom and fed her with the chocolate through the kiss. Open your eyes and again as said it was done. My mother opened her eyes. Oh God! my son is a spoilt and a romantic brat. I thought he was a saint. I used to boast of him in front of my friends, but now see. Oh my goodness, then she shakes her head as she watched him. Oh mom. Grandma looked at me and my mom and winked. Well, we both did not understand her gesture so we continued watching. As she opened her eyes, she saw a huge bouquet of flowers. It was roses and she loved them. My mother loved them. My mother loved flowers especially roses but I didn't like the smell because I had asthma so I didn't like certain things. After he gave my mother the flowers, they started their disgusting things again and that's where the video ends. As soon as the video ended, my father and I started the staring contest again. After that night my parents named me Nyx, meaning the goddess of the night or darkness. I don't know why my parents gave me that name but I loved it. It was short and easy to spell. I'm still looking forward to know more about my name, it's origin. Where is this name coming from.
