Chapter Twenty One

Usually, I like to wake up to the sweet noise of Thor making a coffee, or the noise from the street as cars zoom past or maybe a bird or not, but today I woke up to my phone blowing up ping after ping after ping and what for? what could possibly be so important that someone wants to get hold of me at...

"WAKE UP IT'S 8:00 AM AND I AM WANTING EVERY SINGLE DETAIL OF WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!!!!!" Thor barged into my room and LITERALLY jumped on top of me pushing any oxygen that was in my body and lungs out.

"Ouch! you fob! get off of me, what the hell are you talking about!" I shouted as I sat up on y bed and rubbed my eyes "Jasmine and I have been texting you all morning! have you not seen the pictures?" Thor asked as I scowled at him "question fam, what was I doing 20 minutes ago?" I asked as he looked at me confused "sleeping?" he answered as I nodded sarcastically "SO OF COURSE I HAVEN'T SEEN THE PICTURES!" I shouted as he held his hands up in defence "Alright someone works up on the wrong side of the bed" he mumbled as I snapped at him a fowl look.

I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and unlocked it opening up the messages scanning the unimportant messages until I landed on a link, clicking was the biggest mistake of my life, I should have just ignored it because when has a newspaper ever been actually 100% factually right?

THIS TIME!

"That's me!" I said out of utter shock, I looked up at Thor and then I looked back at my phone, that was me in the middle of swapping salvia with Mason in his car on the way back home last night, this didn't make any sense because even when I was babysitting we never got papped, ever! why now? and how? this is literally outside the house.

"How did they know where we live?" I asked Thor as he just looked at me and shrugged "I have no clue but that fact that it is clearly you and him is going to have people flipping out" Thor added as if that was going to make me or the situation better, I wasn't ready for this, I was prepped for this.

My phone started to ring...Mason

"I am going to head to work, let me know anything if you need me to do anything," Thor said as I picked up "just don't tell anyone anything until I figure it out," I said to him as he nodded and left my room.

"I am so sorry Staffie, this wasn't meant to happen like this" Mason sounded so upset on the phone as he tried to comfort me, I nodded to myself and took a deep breath "I had a feeling something like this was going to happen, we have been a secret and secrets always come out, I just don't want to be out yet," I said as I could hear him agreeing on the other end of the phone.

"Maybe this was meant to tell us that we should finally come out to the open and let people know we are together? I mean there is no fun in being in a relationship that's secret to everyone else" Mason said as I frowned "I liked what we had, secret until we knew we were ready? being famous is easy for you, you've been in it longer, after this gets out and they confirm who is in the picture with you I will be slut shamed, body shamed, told to kill myself and all because I am in a relationship with you" I explained as he nodded through the phone.

"I need some time" I added as I hung up without another word, I know it may be rude but I have no idea what is going to happen after they find out who it is that's in the picture, a lousy babysitter turned girlfriend who only has the job because her boyfriend did her a favour and waved his celebrity magic wand. Brill.

I wanted to be with him! I wanted to be by his side and I appreciated all that he had done for me, and I know as much as it was hard for me it was hard for him as well, he didn't want to see me hurt by people and he wanted to keep me as secret as possible.

I decided that the best thing for me right now was to switch off my phone and social life and just take some time out, I called in sick to work and as much as they didn't want to say anything I knew they knew the reason for my absence.

One part of me was saying that I should be glad it's out now so that you can do more things with Mason and been seen out and about, but the other part of me was scared about all the paps and fans that came with it, all the people digging my past up, filling the internet and my friend and family and I with lies about myself or things to make me feel bad about myself.

"You know none of that stuff even matters right? The stuff you are mentally battling" Thor interrupted my thoughts by storming into my room yet again and standing in the door frame.

I opened my eyes and sat up, I had previously been lying down shut eyes just going over what had happened and what I was going to do.

"For a straight man, you love to barge into my room without consent! What about if I was changing?" I asked as he smirked and shrugged "I've lived with you for years now, I don't care what you got going because I can never find you attractive" he added as I shrugged and he proceeded to walk over and sit cross-legged on my bed.

"I know that it maybe bias as he is my favourite player ever but you need to put your happiness before anyone else's comments, sure you didn't get to hang out much because he works and so do you, and well it's all of a sudden," he said as I looked down at my hands.

"It is all of a sudden right?" He added with confusion in his voice, I looked up at him and gave him a weak smile.

"Mason and I are boyfriend and girlfriend we just never told anyone, we have been for a few weeks now, we didn't want to jinx it by telling people" I admitted as Thor's eyes widened

"excuse me!" He added bewildered.
