My theory on why Kenshin is blind: It's because the windows to his soul (eyes) closed as a survival mechanism because he felt something his brain couldn't understand, plus the mind explanation makes sense, the brain is the only way in which the soul interacts with matter, you could say that it is a sense more connected to the others such as ear, nose, mouth, etc. (under this logic it can also eat souls)

I always prefer the protagonist, but see other points of view. I like it too, thanks for the chapter
