Just read the wiki lol. Basically hsr encompasses all other mihoyo games since there's a posibility that teyvat and honkai impact worlds could be found in that universe. Think of hsr as a universe adventure game. they have these gods called aeons beings who are planetary/universal levels at least. Way stronger than archons who seem to be continental level at most. The star rail mentioned here is created and used by an aeon called akivilli who represents the path of trailblaze, he/she used to adventure through out the universe using the said star rail aka called astral express but something happened that we don't know as of yet that caused her to vanish. The girl mentioned here is probably hiimeko who found the remains of the star rail train and fixed it by the start of the hsr canon. Confused? Good. Btw himeko is also found in honkai impact 3 as a teacher to the protagonist there and while she still isnt in genshin many hope that she will be the archon of pyro.

I see ur point we dont know everything about genshin worldview after all and some plot points still nees to be revealed(tsaritsa), but that problem is way worse in hsr which is a way younger game. Tbh I suggest him visiting fontaine first and maybe more encounters/story line with the fatui. Hsr is just too big of a story to be merely 20 chs. I suggest combining the two worlds, maybe have the train visit teyvat instead. That way you get to expand the story, and you won't get burnt out from genshin.

Prob the other personality thing. Maybe character development for kenshin would be better, that way he'd grow as a person when he arrives at teyvat again
