It’s a very foolish decision to destroy all the oil refineries. Oil is needed for gasoline and diesel. Without it, the trucking industry grinds to a halt, not allowing for shipment of goods. No more jet fuel. No more fuel for boats to ship things around the world. Then, there’s petroleum products: everything from lip balms to Vaseline to wax to plastics to cosmetics. And then there’s the issue with how quickly the oil industry is being destroyed in this world. Even if you were to phase out oil, it’s a matter of PHASING it out. You need to slowly transition. Millions of jobs will be impacted by these terrorist attacks. An economic depression will result, leading to millions of deaths. It’s a disaster of epic proportions.
Its only coz of magic that this could be even remotely succeed in benefitting anything. If economy is hit like this, it's consequences is too much. Crimes would go too high as those impacted are forced to commit them to survive. They would especially attack those who were not impacted too in envy and jealousy.
