Interesting. In my knowledge, in the original story Nawaki's death was the trigger to Orichimaru's change. Seeing how fragile life is and started his quest for immortality. Meaning, he cared about Nawaki as his sensei or at least cared about Tsunade seing her so broken about Nawaki and Dan's death.

I wonder if the crystal skeleton Kazuki found alongside the nature beast would be some type of catalyst for creating his own nature beast. 🤔

This nonsense of creating a nature beast is silly. Just use the death mask to release Minato from the seal, Edo Tensei Minato, ask him to transfer over the Yin portion of the 9 Tails to the MC, then revive him using him Art of Rinne Rebirth. Better yet, Edo Tensei hundreds or thousands of shinobi that died before their time that you wouldn’t mind having around. Then, when Nagato uses the Rinne Rebirth jutsu for Konoha, he will bring them all the life. He struggled reviving all of Konoha at the time, so maybe bring him a huge chakra source to help him. Teleport to him after Naruto does the Talk no Jutsu and offer to provide a source of chakra to assist him in reviving the village. Furthermore, you could Edo Tensei Nagato, then have him Rinne Rebirth himself. If you recall from the anime, Nagato still had his Rinnegan when he was reanimated.
