Usually special physique comes with special abilities (just think about the usual xianxia chaos physique for example), sacrificing special abilities for "extraction" is a dumb moves

Lonelythree:Fortune seeker isn't the ability he has for physique and veins.With ability he gained he didn't need to physique or veins to advance the next realm.His ability makes it easier to advance unlike this which always has limit.Don't just assume before reading everything as it would spoil the fun.Its better to read first and then enjoy as if you always think when you reading a stories then you bound to lose the pain.Though I understand it's hard to do if it's too stupid but trust he isn't.He exchange a power of far greater benefit.

Honestly the last bit with the clean up adds a lot to the character and the novel, I mean there are protagonists out there with similar background or experience like the mercenaries or assasins but they don't bother hiding from the law at all with all the experience they have.
