Pretty interesting story so far. Never understood why people get upset over some changes in a story and not others. You could write he can do something absurd as long as it makes sense and not too jarring, a good story is mostly due to how its written. (was going to try to come up with something absurd for an example, but its naruto. summons the size of mountains, freaky eye powers, bringing the dead back to life, time travel, etc) If I was going to guess how the system works, probably uses the passive natural energy and absorbs it into the user to empower them. Later in boruto you find out every life that existed feeds into the natural energy so technically all those random powers could be cultivated from said absorption. Get powers from other universes? His soul is from another universe and inside alien chakra godling.
