that erozoth person had a lot to say. I skim through it and basically says the story is as disappointing as she show, bye bye. I'm okay with a slow burn. I enjoy reading about the small stuff and the MC building actual connections/relationships. it's a fanfic about Smallville, not the Justice League
I'll give you this, reading this feels like watching Smallville all over again ( I watched it on TV when it aired, one chapter a week for years). And every episode felt like: Next episode we will see him use his powers in a cool way, it has to be the next episode, next episode will be a good episode, at later seasons it was: Why am I watching this? Until one good episode.... and when it ended: I can't believe I wasted so much time following this series. Every episode was a small dissapointment, leaving something to be desired more, just like this novel, I honestly made it this far by lying to myself: It will get better, next chapter, Clark will be smarter, next chapter, MC will have his own body and everything will be better, next chapter, now I am saying: The MC will be better, next chapter.... and it never is. It's not boring, I will give you that, but it is not FUN to read, its a constant stream of small dissapointments, of how things happen, how the MC acts, reacts, behaves, what he achieves, or doesn't achieve. Should have stuck to the SI with future knowledge, ambition and maybe more hating how Clark is and less about Lana and maybe this MC would have been different, despite your attempts I consider him barely a step above Clark, the MC is just bad in slightly different direction. Anyway, I'm out. I have no expectations or belief this novel will ever create a sense of excitement or satisfaction with this MC.
