From this chapter I was reminded of the obvious that James is a true leader not only because of his skills but also because he has earned the respect of his men

In the future the protagonist could use compound V, the chances in adults are low, but it is not impossible, his resilience could make it easier, giving him Superman powers, kind of like a final upgrade.
