This introduction to him for the other characters feels weird. The whole wise and "teaching life lessons" tone is not at all what I was expecting. Gonna be honest, I didn't like it. Just feel like it was out of touch. Sorta dragged out the situation and made it feel awkward. To me, personally. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way. But this does make me contemplate whether or not to continue further. I'm gonna try, in hopes it gets good. Though I don't think my hopes are high.
