Battles written by Cuttlefish are always cut-throat, I love it. MC can't catch a break.. Lumian can barely keep himself alive, yet still try his hardest to protect his sister.

Everyone's ability is countered so well. They are well prepared. Was the first attack on them before the Padre's group sounding out their strenghts and weaknesses?

I will assume the Boons aren't necessarily associated with Pathways as much as they are with the ATS. But the Authorities of the Circle of Inevitability seems to be quite diversified, there was fate, age, time, but now it also seems to be quite connected to spiritual creatures and darkness, which somewhat reminds me of the Hanged Man Pathway. It would be easier if we knew what's the Boon power and what's from the contracted spiritual beings.

I wonder, what's stopping Lumian from just using the corruption to target their contracts. I'm assuming the Lizards are an associated power from a contract solution should be able to cause some serious mayhem by performing that ritual dance.
