Im sure it’ll become apparent as we read the volume. They’ve talked a lot about the hope/despair link, esp for the demoness pathway. You can say Lumian lives in the dream of reviving Aurore and that’s his reality. In his despair of losing her there is hope of getting her back…but also literally becoming a Demoness of Despair and advancing is hope to revive her and also she would embody the Demoness of Despair side of the equation while he would embody the Hunter side…so despair is also the literal hope for reviving her. I’m sure we will see more meanings and depth soon
