Cuttlefish That Loves Diving
I really hope this one would have good antagonists because the first one had some of the best villains not only in WN but in fiction (PTSD brothers). I am guessing Lumian wouldn't have his final boss like Klein had with Amon and the main boss here would just be the Outer gods. It would still be nice to see Lumian's villain. Also, could Lumian really do something against the gods? Even if he becomes one, Klein would still be more powerful being a pillar and would still be the one to fight Mother of depravity. I feel like Lotm as a whole would have a bittersweet ending thought I hope not
It’s too simple. The title of the volume is, “Nightmare,” meaning that everything that will and has happened with trend to the themes of Horror- Madam Paulis being the culprit will be too simple, too calm of a verdict. When Lumian raised the possibility of him being the one to have wrote that letter, I felt a deep connection between the word, “Nightmare” and what may have happened to him. Maybe this entire first novel is a dream that Lumian is experiencing, one that is dramatically different from his real life; events that happened a while back. This theory is far-fetched, but remember that the story will eventually, inevitably shift to Lumian leaving the village, one way or another, and the separation between him and his sister. Wouldn’t it be fascinating if the letter that was written was indeed by Lumian, and it goes something like this when he finally has the chance to read it? “THis vILLaGe iS abOuT to WITneSs tHE DeSCEnt of CAlamiTy. tHE OnLy WaY to sURviVe iS To FiND mE. SAve hEr, hElP mE sAvE hER” The letter will have to be worded in a more “plot-twist” nature, but the general idea is there All just theory, of course, and the story would most likely develop in some other fashion, but still something to think about. The beginning of the story is starting to feel quite strange to me, like something is off
Something unrelated to the chapter. In case someone care about this, there are at least 8 "transmigrators." Previously, Klein claimed that between the cocoons there were different ethnics "Africans, Caucasians, Asians, et cetera." The use of plural means at least two, so for the first 3, we have 6 people. Then, et cetera, means "the others." In other words, more than one. In total, aside from the first 3, there are 8 "transmigrators" on the lowest end.
If Madame Pualis is a real Witch, the full body mirror in his room would be enough to do the trick. But somehow I still believe it was Lumian's doing. Maybe when he prayed in the city, it was created somehow? The time goes by in his dream, but he can't take anything with him and the coins are from the past. So if everything in there is from the past, he can affect reality to a certain extend through doing something in this world and being influenced in return from reality to a certain extend?
