Thanks for the chapter. Appears Hardy is now using a little of his future knowledge here. If this time period is late 40s, early 50s then he should have knowledge of the Korean War starting in the near future. Wouldnt his thoughts be leaning towards getting a foothold there?

No, it's still too early. It's a good means for capitalists to make use of war to make money, but honestly, only big corporations have this privilege, small millionaires have no share in the war carnival, and it's not time yet for that, there are still 3 more years before the Korean wars start. Still worth considering, and thank you for reminding me of that. I actually forgot about the Koreans War.
