If you want to make your MC smart, calculating, competent do so all the way. That fight scene was like a mini nerf, what took him so long to use that knife? If there is a reason it should be in the novel. Even if not opening with it after the first tackle.... done and done. Anyway, this story is not for me. I don't like the AU beyond the MC. It is starting to feel like similar story from the movie only changed to fit the MC doing the same things, even if not I just don't like fanfics that change to much things that were not affected by the MC, seems pointless, it feels too much like a click bait, Like Harry Potter fanfic but it's not harry potter and no magic....
Everything was all right till he decided to throw the Kryptonian body in to the space IN TO THE SPACE 🌌🌌🌌, With billions of stars and it's a Kryptonian. A Kryptonian who's power is all about star. I have read some Kryptonian(MC) fic and some time the just throw the dead body in to the sun...😞😞😞 If you don't want to experiment on it then dig and throw it in or just incinerate.
killing her was a complete overkill, he could have just weakened her, he could have just killed Zod and gained control of Krypton's only survivors, instead he's going to cause the extinction of his species, and it's going to be the same thing as many authors do is to turn the MC into his brother's nanny. And he becomes the protector of the earth, which is pretty annoying, I just want to see how this MC will react to Batman, will he kill or will he leave him alive per script, Batman will always try to find a way to kill the Krypnians, if the MC don't kill him I'll definitely drop this since the author just didn't kill a scripted threat or fanboyzece.
I'm surprised you didn't have them talk it out and convince them to choose another planet. after all in the comics, the terraformed another planet in the solar system. killing her seemed completely forced when there were other ways to go about. Or you could have talked to her and made it so she would never change her mind. but there was no talk at all about that
